My experience was average to maybe a step below food quality with initially reluctant, delayed and then incomplete service though I don't think this applies fairly to all of the employees after watching two of five or six who had on the uniforms pulling most of the weight. I believe there are a few who love to continue gabbing at each other before allowing themselves to notice that the customers are there, which makes the others jobs much more difficult. I've stood there waiting for someone to help me and felt invisible more than once. I saw them stop and chit chat about random, non-work events while making another customers order and she did not seem welcome or happy either. Mediocre service aside, I thought it would be better food, which is the main aim of this review. It may just be the limited options. Will not patronize this location again. read more

Had issue with ice machine beeping. Asked female attendant to address, she didn't. We asked again and had to flag someone in back room to address a second time. Then female told me I wasn't allowed to come beyond front of counter to Ask for help. I pointed out I would not of if someone either addressed the issue in the 10 minutes we sat there after we asked or someone was behind the counter. They were rude. read more

This is definitely my go to place for subs! I'm one of those persons who although I can tolerate mayonnaise I do not prefer it, and so I noticed that when you ask for them to prepare your sub "Mike's way" it does not include mayo! My all time favorite sub shop. I don't go anywhere else! I already have to drive about 15 minutes to get it and 15 minutes back home. The past 2 times I've ordered online and picked it up the bottom portion of my sub is soggy, wet and drenched in oil and vinegar. Someone goes bonkers on the oil and vinegar. This place is like Chick-fil-A I don't cheat on them with any other chicken place and I don't cheat on jersey mikes with any other sub place. Walked in at around 9:15 and the worker looked at us and said "Y'all are scandalous for coming in this late" he then turned around and started talking to his coworkers instead of serving us, so we left. I'm not a big chain guy. Meanwhile, when you need a quick meal there's nothing wrong with visiting a place like Jersey Mikes. This particular location impressed us with friendly service (the two girls working were thrilled we walked in when it wasn't busy) and a quick turnaround on orders. And, as you can expect the quality blows away places like Subway (yuck) and other sandwich shops in town like Jimmy Johns. It's also a notch better than Pot Belly and we think much better than McAlister's. Sure you'll pay more for a sub here, but you're getting quality and flavor, which a spot like Subway, and the others, can't offer. Why come to Jersey Mikes? I can think of many reasons and better ones than just their brewed sweet tea is good. We end up sticking to a few items: the Philly Cheesesteak, Meatball Sub and my favorite creation (they'll charge you for a standard three meat sub) a Turkey, Salami and Pepperoni with provolone. Try these three subs and this could be your regular lunch spot. The staff here are so friendly and nice. They made my food to perfection and it was very enjoyable eating inside. However, the manager of this establishment who goes by the name of Kevin was by far the largest asshole I have ever met in my young life. I personally witnessed him yelling at his employees over minimal mistakes and frankly treated his employees as lesser than himself. He also spoke to his employees in a very derogatorily way. If management knows what is best for them they will fire this Kevin fool immedatley. He deserves a golden shower out of 10. Go to hell Kevin. read more

Staff was friendly enough but extremely unprofessional and needs to be retrained. Young woman drenched my sub in oil and vinegar and added cheese and vinegar, neither of which I asked for. I go here twice a week. Every Tuesday night because they have their Tuesday special: a REGULAR size sub (not a mini), which I get the club supreme which has 3 meats and cheese, a bag of chips, and a drink for only $6.99 AND you get double points on your Jersey Mike's points-card. that is such a good deal. Jersey Mike's is 100x's better than Subway, I think all the ingredients are really good and fresh. and this Clemson location in particular has the friendliest employees. I go a lot, so I have experienced a lot of their employees and they all are very warm, smiley, and ask you how you're day is, and stuff. on a side note, I never want the chips OR the drink with the Tuesday special, and they let me switch them out for 3 cookies. so they are very accommodating as well. read more

Way too expensive for a sandwich. I spent $36 on two "giant" (aka foot-long) subs. I could get a sit down meal for two people for less than that. The customer service also could've been better. We first got to the register and told the guy exactly what we ordered. He then walked away without saying why, and another guy came over a few minutes later to finish cashing us out. Then, after sitting for a few minutes waiting for our food, he told me we had to come back up and pay again because he didn't realize we got giant subs instead of regular. We told the first guy what we ordered and this guy never asked again, so we were very frustrated by their lack of communication and accuracy. Best subs, literally, and the staff are always helpful to make you what you want. My husband and I love sharing the turkey and provolone and Mike's sauce makes it taste just like a sub should. Always quick and friendly service. We get a sub here at least once every other week for dinner. The staff is always in a good mood and quick to serve. The meat comes fresh sliced as they put it on the roll. The bread is good too. We are definitely fans.
