I've got nothing but praise for Sam's Gyro! I'd never had shawarma and I definitely was not disappointed. Very flavorful and enough to feed 2 people. I also ordered the fries. They were definitely worth the calories The only hiccup was they were fixing the ac so it was a tad warm. Not too warm to be uncomfortable though. Everyone was very friendly and on my lunch hour the food came out quickly. I will definitely return

Greek salad. Freshly made. Dressing of olive oil and lemon with some oregano. Perfect. Healthy. Tasty.

Fabulous Gyro. Great salad. Love the dressing. I worked in two Greek restaurants in Charleston. This gyro was every bit as good. Turnaround was quick. Restaurant was a little warm but I'm okay with that. If you are hot natured get it to go.

Huge amounts of food. Share a plate. Excellent flavor. But when you request dressing on the side also specify no dressing on the salad.

Great food and very friendly! The meat is tender and cooked very well. Plenty of delicious seasonings. Gotta try their homemade desserts

When my husband and I went, Taz was available to offer suggestions and answer questions. And you can see the passion he has for sharing his love of food. We were one of three tables who had never been and we were each greeted like new friends. I highly suggest going on the weekend to get the butter chicken on special. My husband loved his lamb kebabs and although he has never liked Hummus before, he nearly licked the plate. Our server Jason was prompt and kind and we are surely going to return. Oh and we noticed that the two folks on what looked like a first date were still there after we left and went grocery shopping! I have the feeling they will both be back too.

Lol Brought friends this time. One day I'll try something other than the beef, but my friend got the lamb curry and did the happy dance with every bite! That made me so happy that others got the same feelings we get here! And Taz!!! He is just amazing out front treating and personalizing your experience there. It's always lovely to see the brains and beauty behind this place when she comes out, but honestly, without her, the food would not be as amazing as it is, freshly made to order, perfectly! Thank you for being the amazing humans you are feeding us quite often. I'm gonna need frequent flyer miles or a bakers dozen card soon. lol Nothing but love!!!!

Love absolutely everything about this place!…read more I got the middle eastern plate with gyro and my friend got the beef shawarma plate and we both thoroughly enjoyed both. Super flavorful and the hummus was phenomenal. We also got their homemade lemonade and it was 10/10. Service was wonderful and everyone was so kind. There is plenty of seating indoors and they also have a market inside where you can buy snacks and other things. Note that this place is cash only. I didn't see an ATM inside either.

We stopped by on our way to ATL for an early lunch and to try this famous spot known for big and fresh flavor. We got there a bit before everything was available but we still opted for the beef plate with humus, vegetables, fresh potatoes bread and a salad. The pita bread was hot out of the oven and was amazing alone or wrapped around tender well seasoned beef and hummus. The gentlemen that took our order was so kind to answer all of our questions and tell us about the family business, and recommend mint tea and spices to try. He even gave us a dessert to try, cashew fingers! Very delicious and light. When we finished and started to leave, I pulled out a few dollars for a tip. The older gentleman stopped by the table and insisted we not leave a tip and was happy we enjoyed the food. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and to say hello to this amazing family owned business.

The lady started friendly but seemed cold when I looked at iPad to review the bill. We ordered 2 sandwiches- 1 gyro and 1 shawarma. It CLEARLY on the menu says it comes with a side of fries, Greek salad, hummus, pita etc. Nowhere does it mention an up-charge for anything. I saw it said +$2.50 for each of the sides we asked for with the sandwich. I questioned this and she gave me a face like "how dare I question?" And just said "nothing is included with Sandwich, even fries". It literally contradicts what is on the menu! She said she'll tell her manager. Anyway- that was weird. Also, on the mixed grille it came with the tiniest pieces of pita, almost offensive, given the price. The entrance feels nicer for a take out place with the fake plants on the walls, but the back is closed off and the bathroom is dirty. Overall, I'd really only go for take out. And know they're cheap and will nickel and dime you.

We've had some good food here but we have missed kabobs etc. We got the Mixed Plate for Two which seriously had almost everything on the menu. The first things brought out was the Hummus, Baba Ganoush with Pita. The Hummus was delicious and I was so surprised by the Baba Ganoush. It was very different from what I thought. It was delicious! Then came the HUGE PLATES of food. Greek Salad, Chicken Kabob, Jerusalem Kabob, Lamb Chops and Rice Pilaf. Wow! Everything was delicious and flavorful. The chicken was seasoned well and tender. The Jerusalem Kabob was perfectly seasoned and the Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The rice was different than I was used to, it had raisins in it. My husband doesn't like rice but couldn't stop eating it. The young man helping us was so nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!!!
