Great atmosphere, it's not an authentic middle eastern setting, but very clean and "new". Good food, and great attitudes. It's not the fastest service, but worth the extra few minutes.

This will be my go to for middle eastern food or probably dinner in general when I am visiting Greenville. Smaller place with 8-10 tables and bottled drinks other than tea. Food was great though!

The food tasted very healthy. It filled me up very quickly and for a reasonable price. The people behind the counter were very nice. Inside the facility were murals of plants and the music played in the background was new house tracks. They have a pretty good stereo system which gave a nice ambiance when I was eating the food.

I celebrated a birthday lunch here and it was fantastic! The food was so fresh, service prompt and attentive - the owner thanked us for dining and asked for feedback. Liliana (I believe they is her name) was delightful! I anticipate this will be a big part of the downtown food scene for a long time! Very minimal menu which is perfect ! Reminds me of NYC restaurants - few selections that are done extremely well! Our feedback was better napkins! That's all! Check them out you won't be disappointed!

A Must Try in Downtown Greenville Tahini absolutely blew me away last night! I had the Fattoush Salad, and I do not even normally like salad, but this one was so light, refreshing, and full of flavor that I would happily get it again. The Za'atar Fries were addictive, and both hummus dishes were standouts. The Falafel Over Hummus tasted like it was handmade with love, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Beef Over Hummus was incredibly tender and full of flavor. And the hummus itself was so good I wanted to dip everything in it. For dessert, the Barazek was the perfect ending. It is a crunchy sesame cookie that is not too sweet, and the sesame and pistachio flavor combination was amazing. The customer service was great, and the decor felt very cultural and welcoming. It is absolutely worth the trip to downtown Greenville! I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! read more

While my visit to Greenville, I was looking for a near by food place by the hotel. I really enjoy Middle Eastern food and saw that this place has good rating so decided to give it a try. By the time I got to the restaurant, the food is ready. I got one beef, Shawarma, and two chicken Shawarma. My mom had the beef and my husband and I had the chicken. We are all disappointed by the food. For me, the chicken didn't even have the garlic flavor. Chicken was dry and lots of oil and not seasoned well. Also the bread was dry, which made it hard to the sandwich. My husband and mom had the same comments about the food. I don't recommend this place to anyone.Iu read more

They've only been open 8 days and there wasn't an empty seat in the dining room. From the moment you walk in, the energy is welcoming and the aroma is irresistible. I've only been twice but it's a strong contender for my favorite lunch in Greenville. Traditional shawarma sandwich + za'atar fries is amazing. The chicken salad is legendary (flash fried chickpeas on a salad? Yes please.) this has quickly become a go to for me. read more

Great food and fast service. Chill atmosphere. They don't have complimentary water but they will give you a cup of ice for you to pour a bottle into. The black iced tea is great. I had a falafel wrap meal deal with a side of hummus and a drink. So filling that I could only eat about a third of it. My wife had the falafel salad and it was so pretty. The turnips marinated in pickled beet juice was a surprise. Added great color to the salad. Two non-gendered bathrooms. Not a fan of the lock on the bathroom door. Same type of lock that failed on me at Jeter Mountain. Convenient city parking around the corner. Oh and the barazek (cookies) were fantastic. read more

Listen, I'm pretty stingy with giving out reviews, but after one bite I knew I had to. I just ordered the not so traditional chicken sandwich for lunch, and oh my god it is so delicious. We went here for lunch on the recommendation of the staff at Oil and Vinegar and were so glad we did! We ordered the shareable falafel and zataar fries. The falafel were large and very moist inside- some of the best we've had. The fries were perfectly crispy and came with a delicious garlic sauce. I was quite happy with my selection though, with their interpretation of daal being a hearty, thick, if overly salty stew noticeably different in taste and texture than the Indian version I so often eat. It did not come with rice, but perhaps that was not so bad as ordering a naan turned out to be well worth it. A gigantic bread, it was delightfully charred on the outside and soft on the inside, and was just about right for mopping up a full plate of lentils. Adding a chai resulted in a cardamom-flavored beverage that wasn't particularly sweet. There were plenty of vegetarian selections that looked worthwhile based on what other tables ordered. I still wish I'd been able to sample more, but I was happy with what I got, and indeed I can't recall an Afghan restaurant I've been to with better-executed vegetarian dishes.

The one thing I would offer as constructive criticism is really watch the amount of dry oregano you add after the fact. Most of what we received had more than a dusting, which isn't pleasant with dried herbs. (Note, I love oregano and cook with it all the time. This was just excessive). The other thing I would note is there isn't that spirit of hospitality when you are there, which is what the Greeks are known for. Service was I'd say a bit below average- for example, we ordered a bunch of appetizers, and were done with quite a bit of it. When our food came out the waitress tried to deliver all the food on an already crowded table. We had to ask her to remove the dirty, empty plates first. We also had people run out of water, and she never came back to refill. The other thing was it was clearly a celebratory dinner. It would have been nice to at least ask what was going on. Not looking for anything, but typically a server would at least chat you up. All that said, we will be back and recommend this place to others. Would just recommend tasting the food before it does out to make sure its not caked with dried oregano, and bring a little more of that Greek spirit to the business.

Right from the way it looked to the way it tasted, there was consistent lackluster vibe. The vegetable bowl was an afterthought of a dish, very unsure brussel sprouts thrown together with a handful of carrot slivers, some odd bits of grains and a very forlorn handful of dry tofu. The fried egg on the top made it edible and I was glad that I asked for it. The crunchy bits of garlic on the side seemed like a fear of commitment. An entry that is named roasted garlic vegetable bowl should claim it loud and proud in every bite. Grouper hoagie... let us just say at that the fries on the side were the highlight of this dish. Very underwhelming experience saved by the fact that our seating was very conducive to conversation, round tables for six, what a brilliant set up and lighting and noise level just enough to enjoy the company. I might just bring take out here to enjoy the ambiance!

I sat at the bar and was served by a friendly young bartender named Leslee. I told her I wanted the gumbo trio and picked my 3 choices. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice and the jambalaya. Best Cajun I have eaten since my trip to New Orleans. Awesome customer service by Leslee. I've tried the seafood gumbo, seafood platter (wish had more oysters), stir-fried mixed veggies (great but less than half a handful ). The French fries (which I tried not to eat but they came w/the seafood platter -- delicious! No ketchup needed. There were no condiments provided other than tartar sauce. But turned out I was ok w/o! [I wasn't sure if I was supposed to request. This order I remembered to call the restaurant after ordering (thru DoorDash) and they did include for me.]

I nicely told the waitress as she saw I wasn't eating. All she said several times was "we make our own buffalo sauce" She didn't offer me something else or take it off the bill. My mouth was burning so badly that I couldn't even eat the other food on my plate. It almost felt like some kind of prank. If a customer doesn't like their food, acknowledge it and try to rectify the situation. Very bad service abc business practice.
