Great atmosphere, it's not an authentic middle eastern setting, but very clean and "new". Good food, and great attitudes. It's not the fastest service, but worth the extra few minutes.

Chicken shawarma salad was very filling and loved their touch with the toasted chickpeas!

This will be my go to for middle eastern food or probably dinner in general when I am visiting Greenville. Smaller place with 8-10 tables and bottled drinks other than tea. Food was great though!

The food tasted very healthy. It filled me up very quickly and for a reasonable price. The people behind the counter were very nice. Inside the facility were murals of plants and the music played in the background was new house tracks. They have a pretty good stereo system which gave a nice ambiance when I was eating the food.

Polite staff & friendly service. Good portions at good prices. The food was fresh, delicious and pretty. My salad had a variety of textures. These are the best falafels I've had in a long time. Crunchy exterior with a soft and fluffy interior.

Great food, fast as lightning food delivery and delicious. A must try if you're downtown. Nice group of people

I celebrated a birthday lunch here and it was fantastic! The food was so fresh, service prompt and attentive - the owner thanked us for dining and asked for feedback. Liliana (I believe they is her name) was delightful! I anticipate this will be a big part of the downtown food scene for a long time! Very minimal menu which is perfect ! Reminds me of NYC restaurants - few selections that are done extremely well! Our feedback was better napkins! That's all! Check them out you won't be disappointed!

Tabouli, reg chicken pita wrap, nicely grilled - crispy texture.

The environment is welcoming, and within walking distance of the downtown walking trails. Cozy seating and kind staff. The choice for lunch was made mostly for us, offering a cafeteria style meal. You either choose meat or vegetarian and the plate is brought out to you. We were surprised with chicken as the day's choice of meat. I had in my head that this was a place where you could get a nice combo platter, but that's apparently only for lunch, so I had to pick one dish. I was quite happy with my selection though, with their interpretation of daal being a hearty, thick, if overly salty stew noticeably different in taste and texture than the Indian version I so often eat. It did not come with rice, but perhaps that was not so bad as ordering a naan turned out to be well worth it. A gigantic bread, it was delightfully charred on the outside and soft on the inside, and was just about right for mopping up a full plate of lentils. Adding a chai resulted in a cardamom-flavored beverage that wasn't particularly sweet. There were plenty of vegetarian selections that looked worthwhile based on what other tables ordered. I still wish I'd been able to sample more, but I was happy with what I got, and indeed I can't recall an Afghan restaurant I've been to with better-executed vegetarian dishes.

We originally fell in love with the Chicken Kabobs, but after trying the salmon, it quickly became our favorite dish. The salmon is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We live in Asheville, so dining at Pomegranate on Main is always a special treat. We especially love the cranberry basmati rice and always ask to substitute it for the basmati rice mixed with dill and lima beans. Our waiter, Christian W., happily made the change for us. Christian provided outstanding service throughout our meal--friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure everything was just right. We also love the Pomegranate Martini and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys martinis. During this visit, we were skipping alcohol, and Christian suggested the Pomegranate Mojito instead. It was refreshing, flavorful, and absolutely delicious--a perfect non-alcoholic option. What keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, the service is always top-notch, and the entire dining experience is one we look forward to every time. We stopped by on our way to ATL for an early lunch and to try this famous spot known for big and fresh flavor. We got there a bit before everything was available but we still opted for the beef plate with humus, vegetables, fresh potatoes bread and a salad. The pita bread was hot out of the oven and was amazing alone or wrapped around tender well seasoned beef and hummus. The gentlemen that took our order was so kind to answer all of our questions and tell us about the family business, and recommend mint tea and spices to try. He even gave us a dessert to try, cashew fingers! Very delicious and light. When we finished and started to leave, I pulled out a few dollars for a tip. The older gentleman stopped by the table and insisted we not leave a tip and was happy we enjoyed the food. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu and to say hello to this amazing family owned business.

The one thing I would offer as constructive criticism is really watch the amount of dry oregano you add after the fact. Most of what we received had more than a dusting, which isn't pleasant with dried herbs. (Note, I love oregano and cook with it all the time. This was just excessive). The other thing I would note is there isn't that spirit of hospitality when you are there, which is what the Greeks are known for. Service was I'd say a bit below average- for example, we ordered a bunch of appetizers, and were done with quite a bit of it. When our food came out the waitress tried to deliver all the food on an already crowded table. We had to ask her to remove the dirty, empty plates first. We also had people run out of water, and she never came back to refill. The other thing was it was clearly a celebratory dinner. It would have been nice to at least ask what was going on. Not looking for anything, but typically a server would at least chat you up. All that said, we will be back and recommend this place to others. Would just recommend tasting the food before it does out to make sure its not caked with dried oregano, and bring a little more of that Greek spirit to the business.

She was extremely polite and attentive to my detailed plans, stating the restaurant would give a slice of cake to our friend. Although her shift was soon ending; she took explicit notes for the oncoming shift. I called later to make sure everything was in place; Michelle was a woman of her word, so the planned surprise was a go! Italian Garden is a quaint restaurant with super-friendly staff. We were blessed to have Nada as our server! Their menu selections are extensive, with something for everyone's tastes! With a beautiful smile and pleasant personality, Nada took our orders. Our food arrived in a timely fashion, and we were all pleased with our choices! Their portions are plentiful as three out of the four of us brought food home. After we had finished our delicious meal, I was ecstatic to see not one but the entire staff walking toward our table with the cake, singing "Happy Birthday"! What a beautiful way to conclude our dining experience! In many ways during our leisurely time there, Italian Garden Restaurant exceeded our expectations!
