Ordered the turkey with bacon and cheese - tasted good but the top split bun makes it difficult to eat, particularly at the end of the sandwich. The tea claims to be legendary but it's mid for Clemson claiming to be in The South. The service was a lone server and I'm guessing the same in the kitchen. Two people in party. One of us ordered a club sandwich on white bread...not toasted. The other one of us ordered a corned beef sandwich on Jewish rye bread.....toasted. After ordering, the waitress approached us and said that they were out of corned beef.."would pastrami be okay". "Yes" we said. We'll, the club sandwich came out on "toasted" white bread. And the pastrami sandwich came out on toasted "white bread". And it wasn't even the likes of a corned beef sandwich with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. It was toasted white bread, a little pastrami and a little Dijon mustard. Both sandwiches were dry and not flavorful. We were told the potato salad was homemade. That is definitely questionable. The waitress never checked on us. When we went to the cash register to pay (without a ticket-because she never brought it to us), we had to request a refill for our drinks. While exploring Clemson we needed a coffee break. Finding this deli gave us that. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly staff member who was patient while we decided on our food. We did not eat a sandwich, but instead choose cookies for a snack. Unfortunately coffee was not available - but the chocolate chip cookie and the macadamia nut cookie were perfect. Nothing beats eating a tasty and juicy sandwich after attending a college football game. This place makes wonderful sandwiches. I had one with melted cheese, chips, and a soda. Service was very good. Students working the restaurant. Unfortunately, the inflation has shrunk the sandwich sizes along with the meat in them. This is true everywhere now. My wife and I stopped in one midday afternoon and the place was filthy. The restaurant was empty and most all tables were dirty. The management of this place must be very unconcerned with business, considering the conditions inside and outside the restaurant. Good deli sandwiches and a quaint and cute location right in the downtown of Clemson. One of the few "local" restaurants in downtown, instead of the big chains. I've probably ordered take-out from here four times. Two of the four, there was NO dressing and once, it was the wrong dressing. The food is delicious which is why I have been giving them so many chances, but tonight was my 5th time, and no dressing. I had to make my own ranch before I could eat. I think this was my last time. I've tried salads (my wife's is the best), the chicken critter, and the original Apollo and all have been 10/10!
