    Sliced Prime Rib Sandwich

It was a busy Thursday evening in the summer and Copper River Grill was able to seat us within 5 minutes. The service was wonderful and the food was really tasty! The prime rib sandwich and campfire baby back ribs were the family favorites. Don't forget to try the brownie sundae! It was so massive the whole family spilt it!

Overall, the dining experience was nice. It was not a very busy night so it was quiet and we had the attention of our server. We ordered the she-crab soup and salad combo which was just the right amount of food. The wife had the regular salad and I ordered the Caesar salad. My salad had too much dressing and could have done with about half that amount so that is why I gave the 4 stars. May I suggest asking for the Caesar dressing on the side so that you can put on the right amount for you. The she crab soup was yummy and hit the spot. When I am back in town I will definitely come back. Also, if you have a Southwest Rewards account you can sign up for Dine Rewards and earn SWA points towards free flights. So for me this was a bounce bonus, good food and SWA points to boot.

I attended a graduation party here. The restaurant staff was attentive and made the experience memorable. The prime rib with au jus was tender. The au jus was also great on its own but excellent paired with the prime rib. The mixed vegetables lacked seasoning but the house salad made up for it. Treat yourself!

This is a sandwich and salad lunch place, and there were several plausible options for vegetarians and vegans. My order came with a side and I added a cookie. Ice cups were out for a self-serve collection of tea (sweet or unsweet), lemonade, and water at no extra charge. My mushroom-heavy toasted sandwich delivered on flavor, with a rosemary olive oil bread contrasting the massive amount of mushrooms and a zippy romesco inside. For a side, I received a garlicky hummus with pita. My cookie was a slightly odd texture, but it did round out the experience and keep me full for an outdoor day. It was quick, easy, had options for most diets, was a nice place to eat, and on top of that I got out for a price I couldn't believe. To be fair, if I weren't in middle of nowhere South Carolina I'm sure there's no way I get that meal for under $20 at current rates, but I had no problem stopping here on the way to the mountains, and I doubt there was any better lunch option for a long way in any direction.

The employee at the window couldn't have been nicer, very friendly, helpful, and even offered me a menu to keep for future visits. Truly excellent customer service. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (lettuce and tomato only (no premium topping options available), along with onion rings and coleslaw. The total came to $13.08 before tip, which is a great price and initially set expectations fairly high. The wait time was reasonable, but when I received the bag it felt surprisingly light. Once home, the portion sizes were underwhelming. The onion rings were moderate, the coleslaw was about an ice-cream-scoop portion, and the grilled chicken sandwich consisted of a very small piece of chicken with one slice of lettuce and a thin slice of tomato on a plain white bun. For context, I weighed the chicken portion and it came in at 2.68 ounces, which is noticeably smaller than expected for a sandwich. Food quality was basic. The coleslaw appeared pre-packaged and was quite watery, and the onion rings seemed mass-produced rather than freshly battered. The chicken itself could have used more seasoning and a more substantial portion. Even a slightly upgraded bun would have helped. I'm giving this two stars instead of three because while the service was outstanding and the pricing is attractive, this is a restaurant first and foremost, and the food quality and portions didn't meet expectations. I'm not trying to bash ownership; a small increase in price to allow for better ingredients and slightly larger portions could make a big difference.

Eventually he walked up and we sparked a conversation. All was fine at first simply asking about my perspective on concepts, (do you live more for people or yourself.) until the red flags started appearing. He started talking about this, "god called me to you" something another. Which got worse when he said "demons caused 9/11" at this point I was trying to get out of the conversation, ordered a to go plate and such. Guy still didn't get the memo, but he seemed genuinely unwell, so I didn't want to antagonize him. He eventually starts using my should as a prop up for himself, I could smell the alcohol on him, and he continues talking about the lakes of fire and how he could "see it in my eyes". Eventually he says something about following him outside to "continue the conversation" which I of course absolutely did not, however with him staring me down at the door I couldn't just nope out of there, I try to get the attention of one the tenders at this point but I don't quite think they knew what to do either. He eventually comes back in and is clearly fully unwell at this point, doing the crazy hand thing while loudly dropping the f bomb about how everyone else besides us were crazy and doomed, and how he needed to save me. Even after saying yeah I of course have already accepted god, he still wasn't convinced, finally at this point of one of the tenders gets the idea and starts standing nearby eyeing him, it was at this point he finally wondered off through the door, (which is worrying because he likely drove here). This experience was quite bad, and I worry for other people who get stuck at the bar area, as unlike me being a 6'3 guy, what if it was a short woman in this case? Who knows what could had happened. But anyways I just felt like ranting about this bad experience, the staff was polite, apologizing for what had just occurred after he left, I quickly said it was fine and quickly made my way out of the restaurant, just hope in the future not to have another run in with him.
