This is a go to place for casual. fine dining. It's Italian, but truly creative Italian for lack of a better term. For example my sone and I both had SMOKED BRISKET GNOCCHI which is smoked brisket, with a amazing selection of sautéed wild mushrooms with caramelized onions tossed in gnocchi with a superb smoked gouda cream sauce... I'm going to bet that you encounter this in about 1. out of every 100,000 Italian Restaurants. We started the meal with Baked Brie wrapped in pastry covered in hot honey with fig preserves. Just simply good food. We went with some wine by the glass... watch out since their bottles can ru over $200... not that dinner with my wife and son is not a special occasion... we had some really good wines in the basement to come home to. :-) Great ambiance inside an old brick walled building. it was noisy. super service from an attentive wait staff. Definitely a great fine dining experience. read more

This was an amazing experience. Make your reservations now. The family got together to celebrate Mama Bs 80th birthday. This restaurant and their staff made us soooo happy. Everyone enjoyed their food which tasted like heaven. Dessert was amazing to it was strawberry brûlée which you must have. Our waiter "Joe" aka Joseph was more than knowledgeable and delightfully funny. This restaurant has the best aesthetic. Intimate but classy even down to the wallpaper in the bathroom. Vangeli's will remain in my head for a while. Who knows maybe my birthday will bring me back. read more

Vangeli's is our go to for special dinners. We tried "couples night" on Tuesdays. It was a delicious experience with a nicely priced menu. We also took advantage of the discount wine specials available to try a different champagne. The food was beautiful and delicious. Joe, our server, is lovely with great recommendations. The ambiance is friendly. Overall always a great experience! read more

What a treasure in the heart of up and coming Seneca. This is truly casual fine dining at its best. The food is off the chain, creative and flavorful. I dined at the bar and Alex crushed it! Perfect recommendations of everything from apps to main course to apertifs. 6 star service easy. read more

Great atmosphere and a wonderful dining experience. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The service was excellent as well--the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

App, salad, entree, and dessert were so delicious! Best meal I've had in a long time! Thanks for the great service, Jade! Owner came by the table to check on us. Very friendly. Even the food runner was smiling. What a jewel for Seneca! read more

Excellent restaurant. It is our go-to for special and not-so-special occasions. Not a lot of "high dining" restaurants in Seneca. This is certainly one. read more

I've been there several times and had a good experience, however, this time was not good at all. The menu is very small and expensive. Ribeye $85, (more than Ruth Chris, and much thinner cut) I got a vegetarian meal with scallops, and both the butternut squash and scallops were undercooked. My son got a pork chop and it was tough, and accompanied by some gross chutney. I feel bad writing such a bad review, but I feel like they are taking advantage of being the only restaurant in town that has decent food.(formally) Also, server was not personable. She did an OK job until she gave us the dessert menu and then came back 15 minutes later to take the order. read more

What a gem! The food was amazing! So delicious. I was so impressed! I was here on business from California and I was surprised to find such a tasty restaurant in this small town. Service was great! Everything tasted delicious! read more

What a truly lovely little gem in a small town. Great vibes, awesome staff, really good food

Made a last minute reservation for 5 people. Reservation was at 7:30pm but didn't get seated until 8pm (again no complaints as I made this reservation at 3pm same day - just a note) But from the time we sat and until we left everything was wonderful. Laurie was our waiter and she couldn't have been any more accommodating. She was professional and still maintained a great personality. We never needed anything as she met our needs even before we needed them! lol Great job Laurie The food was perfect. We had 3 appetizers ranging from Brie to Calamari to Scallops. All wonderful Our dinner entrees ranged from the chicken to two filets (cooked perfectly) to the Salmon. Again perfect. It has been a couple years since we have visited this restaurant but we will be back often Thank you to everyone from Laurie to her assistant to the talent in the kitchen. Great job everyone read more

They give you a free desert for your birthday! The PB banana brûlée dessert is phenomenal!!

Another great restuarant on our trip to Lake Keowee. Joe was our waiter and gave us great service. The food is immaculate and so tasty. Great steak and pasta dishes.... We had the chicken & andouille sausage pasta and this was a tasty dinner. The salads are huge too and so many choices of great salads. We had the Bacon & Bleu Salad and the Heirloom Tomato salads. Their wine selections are EXCELLENT with an extensive list that includes French, Italian, Argentinian, Calif and others. We enjoyed a French Can Franc. Dessert... omg. They had Banana Creme Brûlée, Strawberry Creme Brûlée, Peaches & Creme Brûlée, and a a layered chocolate and cheesecake cake. The Banana Cream Brûlée was to die for! read more

Vangeli's Bistro - Caribbean Red Snapper. Outstanding! - New American Near Me - Seneca, South Carolina

Amazing staff, otherwise it would be 3 stars. Elk was dry and overdone. The sauce on the lobster ravioli is overpowering. The zucchini blossom appetizer was fantastic. Dessert was lovely. read more

Service is very good. Although the food is consistently good, the high prices, especially for steak, make it a spot we only consider for very special occasions. read more

Dinner was very good. Started with a cocktail that featured Empress Gin (makes it a beautiful purple color) and lavender. I had red snapper with risotto and a mango salsa, which was well prepared and delivered quickly. The star of the night was the banana brûlée - next time I come here, I may just have a salad or starter and this. Service was wonderful. I highly recommend! read more

Birthday dinner for the wife; a nice celebration for two. Nothing touches Vangeli's in the Golden Corner. Great, just the right amount, of service by Mark. Btw, while the wine list is very good, you can BYOB that special bottle for a minimal corkage fee. One of the most outstanding things about Vangeli's is the seasonally changing menu. For example, the grilled peaches, prosciutto, and burrata appetizer. The wild-caught grilled Scottish salmon was great. One thing that does not change on the menu is The Chop! Please never change it. Even the desert menu changes, with some continuous greats. Finally, get reservations, they were completely booked last night read more

The service was excellent every time we've been there. The food is always good and the ribeye steak is cooked to perfection med rare

We were lucky enough to walk in and get a table without a reservation, it was right at opening. So glad we did!!!The menu is a little pricey, but you won't regret it. We had the Lamb Lollipops and Seafood Pasta. No "to-go" box needed. Beautiful restaurant, attentive service and when we were leaving they had some wonderful live music starting. read more

Came here on a whim, and I was not disappointed! I ordered a Delicious pasta dish with eggplant, tomato, spinach, and feta cheese! It was drizzled with fresh made olive oil and fresh pasta! Incredibly filling and delicious. Also ordered the S'mores sundae. I LOVE S'mores! It's by far my favorite summer time dessert when I saw this on the menu I knew I needed it for nostalgia sake! The marshmallow was perfectly toasted and the chocolate wasn't painfully sweet. My date ordered the strawberry brulee. Initially, we thought this was a creme brulee with strawberries on top OR a strawberry flavored creme brulee. Turns out it was just strawberries that were bruleed. This was still extremely delicious and not too sweet, which is great! read more

This restaurant is easily a step up from any other restaurant in the Seneca area. Limited menu but updated regularly with new options. The food is outstanding (compliments to the chef), prepared and served with attention to detail and taste. So good that you'll want to go back to experience the other delicious offerings. Ambiance is right on par with an upscale feel enhanced at times with live music fitting for the surroundings. I recommend anything here, especially the steaks, pasta dishes and excellent salads. It's not cheap, but if you like quality for your money....it's definitely a keeper. read more

Went there on a date night with my wife to experience the new menu sent to me and on the website. When we arrived only one dinner was on the menu from the website. Needless to say very disappointing. When asked the manager she knew nothing about the menu on the website. There was nothing on the daily menu that was at all interesting for us. The manager said the next time we come in she would give us a gift certificate. Needless to say we left and will not be back. Went to Pixies and Bills and had a great meal at a much reduced price. Would give it a zero if I could. Very poor service and customer service. read more
