Stopped by for lunch for the first time. What a menu! I wanted a hot dog and potato salad and it did not disappoint. Get it with chili...SO GOOD! Black eyed peas and potato salad were delicious. Lots of meats on the menu so I'll get fried fish and green tomatoes next! Curve left after the train track and right into the lot and get some great food at Nana's! read more

We went for the first time today. We had wanted to try their food for a long time and finally got there. The chicken broccoli and cheese is super yummy. The potato salad was really good too. Baked chicken was super tasty, as well as the green beans. read more

I was hungry and was in some need of soul food, I look at nana's kitchen. And I said why not give it a shot! I ordered chicken, cornbread, mac & cheese and collared greens. With a side of rice & gravy. Once I got the food, I started digging in! I First tried the collared greens with some interest of what it tasted like. I took a bite and it was salty and I didn't really taste much vinegar. I liked my collared greens with vinegar because that's how I originally liked my greens. And then I went to the mac & cheese. The mac and cheese was delightful! I tasted the blends of cheese that was in the mac & cheese! So the mac & cheese was perfect! After the mac & cheese I wanted to try some chicken. The chicken came in and out the oil right in time. I tasted the seasonings that was in the chicken and it tasted good. The combination tasted good is what I mean't. After the chicken, finally I went over to the cornbread. I don't have any opinions on the cornbread. It tasted like your average cornbread! And lastly I came to the rice and gravy, the rice is OK, but the gravy made it phenomenal! So that was good aswell. read more

Stopped by Nanas after a little hike in Conestee Park. Was really craving a cheeseburger so that's what I went with. Nanas is a very small place with only three tables. There were two other people there so no worries in seating today. I got the cheeseburger with bacon, chili, lettuce and tomato and it was fantastic! The burger was nice and juicy and the bun wasn't super huge. The fries were also good and the onion rings are some the best I've had. Lots of traditional southern foods in the menu as well. Fried okra was amazing. The chicken was the best. Everything was good except the potato salad for my taste

I ordered the white meat baked chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese and rice n gravy with cornbread. The chicken was so small it looked like it came off of a pigeon and to think I paid $15 for this plate. The greens had little to no flavor,The rice and gravy was mushy, the cornbread was jiffy and the only decent thing on this plate was the Mac n cheese. I doubt I'll ever be back. read more

Very good sole food! Plus everyone was so friendly. I got the grilled dark meat chicken and it was so moist and delicious. My sides were collard greens and black eyed peas. Both were delicious. The only item I didn't love was the corn bread was dry. read more

We stopped in for lunch and this place was amazing. This is some of the best southern food I've ever eaten. I had the fried pork chop. My wife had BBQ chicken. Both of them were delicious. The service was outstanding. This is a small locally owned restaurant and they have it going on. If you're local to the area it needs to be on your list of must eat at restaurants. If you're from out of town, then you need to make it a priority to stop in and eat here. read more

Visited this place about 3 times I believe , the service is always great, very friendly people and nice people working in the back. The food did leave a bit to be desired, I find that when a restaurant has the ability to bring that "at home flavor" into the restaurant food they have over come the barrier of good to great. Unfortunately they have not done this yet but they are an awesome crew and I believe with a couple changes they can do it. Some of the best fried chicken and Mac n' Cheese in Mauldin. We landed on this place on a whim and it was the best whim seeker I think we've ever landed onto. The menu is nice and easy to pick from. You choose the part of the chicken you want and it is freshly fried, meaning it takes about 15-20 minutes to get your food, but the wait is worth it! The seasoning they use in their breading for the chicken is mouth watering and something g you dream about the next time you want fried chicken. Their stewed okra is filled with tomatoes, corn and of course okra! It is perfect with the cornbread and the Mac n cheese is truly one that came out of Nana's Kitchen with all of the love they put into their food. read more

Picked up here at least 4 times already and it has been consistent and delicious. Super friendly staff as well. The fried chicken is fantastic, the mac and cheese is the best mac and cheese I've ever gotten out, fried okra and squash casserole are great... Everything I have tried here is out of this world. They have a rewards card which is also nice although I always forget to bring it. I think you get your 10th meal free. The only thing lacking here is the atmosphere but I'd probably only get take out so that's trivial to me. Overall a hidden gem for Southern food! read more
