We ordered the Banana Split. Frankly, I have never had a worse Banana Split. The banana, strawberry topping and strawberry ice cream all had the same almost chemical, acidic taste, and left an aftertaste. Maybe it had a preservative on it? Who knows. The vanilla ice cream was good, and the chocolate ice cream was decent. But, we ended up throwing about a third of it away, and felt it was mostly a waste of money. We went through the drive-through. Love their ice cream, even at $5-6 per cone. But I hate that their employees ask for a tip for handing it to you. These are not $3 per hour restaurant employees. I always tip them generously so they can net a decent wage. But adding a $1 onto a $6 cone just to have them had it to me is awfully entitled. The ice cream is good, but nowhere near good enough for the amount of time you spend waiting for it. Almost anytime you go in the summer evenings, there are between 10 to 15 cars in line, and it will always take about 45 minutes. It is ridiculously long to wait for ice cream. I mean, you grab a scoop, scoop the ice cream, place it in a cone, hand it out the window. It is not rocket science. The teenagers working there have obviously had little or no training, so I can't completely blame them. For example, when we went last night, we got four ice cream cones and two of them had the same ice cream flavor. They came to the window and gave us one cone, then the other cones that were different flavors, and finally the fourth cone which was the same flavor as the first cone. For some reason they are having problems making banana splits. I go thru one night and they just cut a banana in half and put in there. There was some giggling before it was handed to me, so now I know why. I go thru another night and they tell me they can't make banana splits, so I think maybe they're out of bananas. I'm so confused for the negative reviews. We had the best experience The two times we've been here. We're from out of state so we probably won't be back for a very long time. But I'm really glad that we got to come here. The ice cream is fresh and delicious with unique flavors. My favorite is the coffee Oreo. It is absolutely amazing. My husband and son had the malted shake and it had big chunks of malt in it and was super thick. My daughter said the cookies and cream has cookies and every bite. Its location is rather obscure, so if you don't know where it is you're not likely to run across it. The folks who work there have always been friendly, helpful and upbeat. They have over twenty flavors of premium ice cream to choose from. They also have yogurts, no sugar added/fat-free ice cream, sherbets, Italian ice and sorbets. You can also get shakes and sundaes. You feel obligated to give tip even you waited 20 to 30 mins drive. Just placing order and accepting payment doesn't mean you provided exceptional service. I'm sad I went there yesterday to get a cone of cookie craze which I've been waiting for ever since they sent me those coupons with the seasonal flavors!! And when I got it it was softer than soft serve ice cream! It was dripping within two minutes, I wasn't even eating it outside I was in my air conditioned car!
