No lunch crowd so we're got seated right away. We were given 2 plates, 2 plastic forks, 1 chili oil, 1 soy sauce, and 1 pair of chopsticks. We asked for additional chopstick and soy sauce. The XLB is new so it's temporarily written in on the menu. Everything tasted average. The dumplings skins were a bit thick and chewy for my liking. Super clean space, friendly and attentive staff, more than reasonable price point, and of course, exceptional food. Living up their name, they are a Dumpling Master. Located on Day Creek Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga, Dumpling Master is situated in a corner spot of a shopping center along the outskirts of a popular supermarket in the area. There is plenty of free parking shared among the businesses in the shopping center, so there shouldn't be an issue upon your visit. Dumpling Master offers both takeout and dine in options. We opted to dine in during our visit and were impressed with the cleanliness and overall layout of their dining area. Tables were comfortably spread out without feeling like we were dining with the table next to us. We came in for lunch on a weekday and Dumpling Master seemed to have a steady flow of customers coming in and out for both takeout and dine in. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. It was definitely the highlight to our meal which made the experience memorable. Our order consisted of: - Shrimp and Pork (boiled) dumplings - Shrimp and Pork potstickers - House Juicy Pork Buns - Fried Rice with egg Though everything we had was great, the standout items were definitely the dumplings, potstickers, and pork buns - rightfully so. I would highly recommend all three items. I want to shoutout the cooking on the potstickers which had such a strong crisp on one side. My absolute favorite way to have them prepared that most places don't do except my grandma! All dumplings were generously packed with their fillings. Ingredients were fresh. The service was pretty good compared to most Asian owned establishments. The staff was attentive and friendly. They even followed up to make sure everything was good. Their noodles are definitely made from scratch. You can tell by the texture of their noodles that it's not premade. The spicy noodle soup was good. But not great. It could have used a little more flavor and depth in the broth. The shrimp chow mein was good but not great. Texture of the noodles was excellent. But the dish needs more flavor. Missing salt in my opinion. The Xiao long Bao was the best dish I had. The pork was tender and juicy. But needs more soup. For the price, it was a bit expensive. I've tried ramen from many different places, and I can honestly say that the ramen here was absolutely disappointing. When I mentioned to the waitress that the ramen was tasteless, she simply replied that "everyone loves it because it's the Japanese way to eat it" and that I was the only one who didn't like it. I guess all the other places I've been to must be cooking ramen wrong then. She didn't ask if there was anything they could do to fix the issue--instead, she seemed offended and walked away. I ended up canceling the rest of my order and paid the bill, but I was still charged for the ramen I didn't eat. A little more courtesy and respect for customers who bring business to the restaurant could go a long way. If you're looking for better food and service, I recommend trying Cup of Noodles down the street at Baseline and Archibald. It's far better than this place. read more

So-so Chinese restaurant. Dumpling Master might be good for the area but it's definitely not up to par if you're comparing to offerings from SGV or even Chino Hills. The dumplings were only ok, though not very tasty. They weren't bad but they weren't anything to write home to. We also ordered the pork buns and the buns were super dry and hard. It's like they microwaved them rather than steaming. Fried rice was also only ok. Tasted like the rice was old. Beef noodles were bland, which is disappointing because this should usually be packed with flavor. The broth just tasted like somebody mixed chicken stock and water. Honestly the best dish was the cucumbers. Those were actually super delicious. Overall everything just tasted old, "dusty", and a little too non-traditional. We ordered: - Spicy beef noodle soup: The beef was so tender and delicious! Bok choy wasn't over cooked and still had a nice crunch to it. Noodles were perfectly Al dente! Soup was also yummy. Hit the spot on a cold night. - Cucumber salad: Always a must to balance out all the different savory flavors. Slightly crunchy, salty, garlicky. And they gave a generous portion. - Xiao Long Bao: I wish they gave more because I could've gotten another order! They were so good. I bite a little hole at the top, drop the chili oil inside, then eat it all in one bite. You need to be super gentle when picking them up and placing them on a spoon. For dessert we had the sesame balls. Comes with 8 pieces and every bite is so delectable. Fried fresh, the mochi texture with sesame seeds on the outside...chefs kiss. My friend & I love dumplings so it was only right we try this spot when we saw it come up on our feed. The place was very spacious and clean. They were friendly and helpful right from the start. The food was amazing we had the shrimp tempura & house juicy pork buns as starters honestly we could have had one more order of the pork buns they were delicious. Then we also shared two orders of the dumpling potstickers one shrimp & pork and the other was the beef & onion. All too delicious. They have a sauce serving station where you can serve yourself as much of the different dipping sauces as you'd like which was pretty cool too. We saw a lot of other folks ordering their soups but we were already too full. Honestly the only reason I didn't do 5 stars is because we felt rushed when they brought over our receipt early before we even ordered our second set of dumplings. Seriously, do you want to spend $100 for dumpling for three people? I suspect there are hundreds of better ways to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. First of all, portions were too small that we (one male and two females) had to order 7 dishes but still didn't feel full, and none of us is a glutton. Quality wise, there is nothing to suggest that it indeed is worthy of the price even considering inflation. Dumplings were just average, and Spicy Beef Noodle was poorly made. Cucumber Salad was the only dish we were somewhat satisfied with but you don't go there for salad. Whether it is boiled or potsticker, they use the same shape of dumpling, which must not be so. When you steam it, the shape of dumpling does not so much matter. But in potsticker cooking, you need to use a flat shaped dumpling in order to heat it evenly, which should result in dumpling crispy outside and juicy inside. However, what they serve is an ambiguous product in b/w boiled and potsticker, which has none of the both world. Spicy Beef Noodle was such a disaster that I had to take Pepto Bismol immediately to settle my stomach. Sesame Ball was mediocre at best, and Xiao Long Bao, too. Additionally, the attitude of the server was not highly commendable. If you still want to try, don't go there empty. Stopped by for some take out at this place since they had such great reviews. I placed an order for their pork & vegetable dumplings, beef spicy wide noodles, sesame balls, & taro milk tea w/ boba. According to yelp it was going to take about 15 minutes but they definitely had the order ready before then. When I picked it up, the cashier advised for me to order the food directly from their website in the future since sometimes yelp has a delay sending the order through. The pork dumplings were good. A solid 4/5. It had the right amount of meat vs. flour. The outside was a bit thicker than how I usually like it but it was packed with flavor. Dip it into a nice chili oil and it is just right. The taro milk tea was underwhelming in my opinion. It says fresh taro milk tea so I was hoping for some pieces of taro in it but it tasted more like powder. The boba were on the tougher side. I give it a 2/5. The spicy beef noodles was decent. 3/5 I upgraded the noodles to the wide noodles for an additional $2 and was a bit dissapointed. The texture was a bit hard. The beef that came with the noodles was tough. I wish it was more tender. It had two bok choy vegetable in it and that was it. I have had spicy beef noodles at other locations that would be packed with tender beef , soft wide noodles, and pickled vegetables. So unfortunately, this place just isn't it. The sesame balls were okay. 3/5 It was soft not crispy. The filling was good. The size are a bit smaller compared to the standard sesame balls but to me it was the perfect size. I went to dumpling master for the 1st time and ordered the following items... cucumber salad, xiao long bao, pork & cabbage potstickers, fried rice and a passion fruit tea. I would give the cucumber salad 5 stars, the xiao long bao, I would give it 1 star, the potstickers I would give it a 4 stars, fried rice 1 star and the tea 1 star. The cucumber salad was the star of the show! The rice was very bland and no flavor. The xiao long bao had an incredibly thick wrapper and the flavor of the actual meat and broth was not up to the standards. The tea was pure concentrate, un drinkable and needs to be water down. It was visually cloudy and super bitter. Not a fan of the dipping sauce station in the back as the bowls are small and difficult to walk with when full. I would recommend providing small trays if that's the route this business wants to continue. I would come back but would only get the potstickers and cucumber salad.
