    Shrimp noodles soup
    Iseo Y.

Not worth the drive! We went there last Sunday for the very first time, the rating is good so we choose this place, we ordered Pork and shrimp siu mai, Har gaw shrimp dumpling, Peking duck bun, Crab meat and pork soup dumplings and Shrimp noodle soup, we were so excited but as soon as the food arrived the soup is so so salty that we couldn't eat it, I have to asked a cup of hot water to dilute it but did not do any good. The siu mai and har gaw is okay and we agreed we love the sauce to dip in, everything taste the same same as far as the dumplings go. The peking duck bun is oozing with sauce and it is over powering, all in all we're disappointed! We took it home but ended up not eating it. Service is okay the robot service is cute, ambiance is okay.

Our family went to this restaurant on Saturday evening. The place was very clean. Prompt service while ordering. We ordered the spicy noodle beef soup, steamed dumplings, Shanghai fried noodles, steamed white rice and the best dish garlic green beans. Every dish was hot and fresh. Great ambience and wonderful service. A very nice place for family night or date night. You will receive a lot of food for the price. The fusion of flavors from each dish were delicious. You can tell the chef takes pride in each dish.

Food was amazing. We had the steamed vegetables dumplings and Shanghai fried noodles with shrimp and both were awesome. We also had the vegetable spring rolls and the outer crust was too hick and not hardly any vegetables in it ( I do not recommend them at all).

Very good customer service. Easy ordering and food comes out by a robot. Good location with parking. A good place to meet up with friends and kid friendly.

    Szechuan stir fry

Had a wonderful lunch there recently. Shared an order of pork soup dumplings (6/$9) which were very good. Our entrees were the Szechuan spicy chicken stir fry ($15 w/white rice) and the beef Shanghai fried noodles ($16). Both were generous servings, enough for us (2) to be able to take some of each home. The Szechuan stir fry was advertised as spicy and it kept its end of the deal. The fried noodles had a delicious wok smokiness to them that resonates. You order via a QR code on the table and the food is delivered by a robot, although they do have wait staff that checks on you. The interior is airy and clean and there is also outside seating. We will return.

This is our first time and food was delicious. Service is a little slow because thy were busy. Ambient was typical fast food style. We will come back.

My go-to spot! I eat here all the time! Rice, egg rolls, and dumplings are my favorites -- yum! My roommates love the Szechuan Chicken, pork wontons with chili sauce, and boba tea. They say it's sooo good! You should definitely give this place a try -- everything is delicious! I haven't had to use the restroom yet, but next time I'll check if there's a changing station for little foodies like me. Until then, happy eating!

This place is not just for dumplings. It also has noodles, fried rice, boa (bubble tea) and more. The prices are higher, but at least you don't need to drive to Atlanta.

We came here on a whim and we are glad we did. The service was quick and the robot was an added bonus. My toddler was fascinated by it! We ordered a few appetizers, the pork wontons and chili sauce + the pork dumplings. Both came out in a timely manner and were tastey. For our main meal we ordered pork wonton noodle soup and the Szechuan spicy chicken. Oh my, do yourself a favor and order the Szechuan chicken, it's the perfect level of spices. I wasn't a fan of the paper plates or the grab everything yourself concept but it was delicious enough to go again. Will be back!

Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

We started with the flower tea, amazing choice! Sweet and warming, nicely aromatic. Perfect start. Then the dim sum carts rolled in and we chowed down. DISHES I ORDERED - Siu Mai: Not the best I've had. Quite oily on the outside, but the flavor isn't bad. It does...taste like siu mai. It's just nothing spectacular - Chinese Broccoli: A classic! Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

There are some differences to how menu items are made/taste from when I first had it, so I feel as though the chef has most likely changed. It's both good and bad because the menu items with taro aren't quite as nice as before, but other things are either the same or better like the Beef Ho Fun for example. The chicken feet have changed too, but both were good. All the classic items are still basically the same. I liked the pan fried chives dumplings and beef cheung fun here. I can't speak for dinner or how it is on the weekdays, but it's quite busy over the weekends, which is expected for dim sum. It's a large space too, but once it's busy, you'll have to take a number and wait for a table. There's some seating along the side of the entrance to wait, but it may still take awhile. Usually, only one person really has to go and take a number, so if possible, one person should strive to get there earlier.

Royal China - Disappointing Experience…read more We have been coming to Royal China every year as part of our Christmas tradition, and we've always loved their Peking duck. Unfortunately, this year's experience was extremely disappointing. The service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes just to get our drinks, and after placing our food order, we waited another hour and a half with no food arriving. We were repeatedly told that the food was "coming soon," but nothing came. For reference, we ordered very simple dishes -- green beans, cauliflower, and eggplant -- items that should not take over an hour to prepare. Eventually, the duck arrived after an hour and a half, but none of the side dishes came with it. We had to speak to the manager three separate times, and the staff was rude and dismissive throughout the experience. The restaurant is very authentic, and we were clearly in the minority as guests, but that should never justify such poor service. Sadly, our five-year tradition of spending Christmas here was completely ruined. If you decide to visit this restaurant, be aware that the service can be extremely disappointing.

Want to start off by saying that we had such great service here- our waitress answered all our questions and was very attentive. Ambiance is good as well. Lots of parking available. We got a couple of things: - Pan fried pork buns: The bun was nice & fluffy with a crispy bottom and juicy meat filling. The sauce it came with was great too- perfectly sweet & vinegary. - Dry beef mixed noodles: The beef was super tender, and the noodles were flavorful. This is meant to be a cold dish, but my mom was a bit hesitant about that and they were more than willing to serve it hot! (I definitely recommend having it cold though haha) - Szechuan Numbed Pepper Broth: Got this with fatty beef. I know some similar places let you put the fillings into the broth yourself, but ours came already assembled (which is what I personally prefer). We loved how mala this broth is, probs my favorite dish we got. Also loved the texture and lightness of the rice noodles. Lots of great fillings like quail egg, spam, wood ear mushroom, cabbage. - Korean Kimchi Broth: Got this with pork chop (though actually it was pork ribs). This is a great choice if you want a tomato-y broth that has a hint of spice and acidity. Another instance of the great service because the pork ribs were kind of hard to eat with our utensils and when we asked if they could possibly cut it up, they did not hesitate to do so. Also, the pork was (again) so tender! Would, no doubt, come back for another meal here. 10/10 would recommend!

Admittedly this location is in need of a DEEP clean and a major facelift. It's like stepping into a vintage time capsule. But hey, at least there's yummy food inside. Considering that, the prices do not really match the ambience at all in my opinion. However it seems they might have a big staff to support, especially those who make their dumplings and noodles from scratch. I'll pay a lil extra at a takeout spot for the food quality because it's certainly there. The staff has been pleasant enough, which is a nice plus. The pork buns are a great mouthful (I prefer steamed). Same for the soup dumplings. Unmatched in the texture of the dough. I've tried their hand-pulled noodles in a soup as well as a stir-fry and they certainly held their own. The noodle consistency is incredibly dreamy, so much so it has become a craving in my household. I don't like the beef they use as it can be a bit dry but the flavor is really nice. Nothing has been salty so far and the flavor profile is always robust. Numbing spice on deck. Again, the food is a hit. Where this place falls short is appearance and service. It just feels stuck in another century, and not in an endearing way. I ate here once, saw the condition of the restaurant and the health score, and settled on the blissful ignorance of takeout from thereon. The parking lot is rough and an eyesore. But honestly, it seems people overlook these things for the food. "People" being me....

Yes, we call it a "hole in the wall" -- it's literally in the basement of an optician and not the flashiest place you'll ever see. But don't judge a book by its cover. The quality of the food is far beyond what the exterior suggests. This is our one and only go-to spot when we need a true Chinese food fix in Atlanta. Simple, no-frills, and all about the food. It's not trendy or polished -- and that's part of the charm. You're here for authentic, bold flavors, not fancy decor. Service is pretty solid, even with the occasional language barrier or when the person hand-making dumplings steps away for a break. Even during peak busy times on previous visits, they've handled things well. One thing we learned the hard way: don't ask them to modify dishes. On a past visit, we asked for a change and they refused to preserve authenticity -- and honestly, I respect that 100% now. Lesson learned: trust the chef and learn to handle the spice! This place is all about explosive, authentic flavors. Our usual star is the Spicy Griddle Cooked Fish Fillet with potato chips, carrot chips, lotus root, and purple yam. It's a full-on flavor bomb -- numbing Sichuan peppercorn heat, bold spice, and perfect for sharing. Absolute showstopper. The Twice Cooked Pork Belly with Cabbage is my new favorite -- juicy, succulent pork paired with crunchy cabbage and an incredible sauce. Just phenomenal. The Black Pepper Beef was flavorful, though this time it leaned a bit heavy on green peppers and lighter on the beef. Still tasty, just slightly unbalanced. The Egg Fried Rice complemented everything beautifully -- and best of all, it wasn't oily. And the Lamb & Zucchini Dumplings? Worth every minute of the wait. Handmade and packed with flavor -- another absolute winner. We can't wait to go back. This is the kind of place you proudly take out-of-town guests -- they'll be blown away and talking about it the rest of their trip. Northern China Eatery never disappoints.
