The partner and I wanted to try somewhere new on a cold & rainy weekend. This place has been on our list for a while, we saw it recommended on Instagram and Yelp. It's a small shop, but has enough seating if you wanted to come with a group. The parking lot is a little small, but there is a neighborhood around the corner with one hour limit on parking. The staff were super friendly, eager to make recommendations and checked in on our service. We got the pan seared pork & vegetable dumplings, wonton soup in broth, BBQ buns, and Fried Rice with Sausage. To drink we had a Jasmine Green Iced Tea; which was very floral, and Taro Milk Tea. The food was hot, fresh and very flavorful. My favorite was the wonton soup. The broth was light, not too salty but tasty and they gave plenty of wontons & broccoli. The pan seared dumplings were phenomenal and the dipping sauce brings the flavors together. I will like to try the fried ones next time. We enjoyed our meal and will recommend to our family and friends when looking for good dumplings and great customer service in the Sacramento area. read more

I've been here a few times and every time I go I can't stop thinking about their dumplings. You order at their counter and then you have a choice of steam or pan fried dumplings, I love that you can choose. I went with pan fried for my vegetable dumplings and then I also ordered their broccoli with garlic as well. The vegetable dumplings were delicious, it was a blend of cabbage and carrots and it paired perfectly with their dipping sauce. Their portions are very generous as well and there is a sign that offers you to buy their dumplings frozen so if you want them for at home or for a party. I cannot express how delicious the wonton noodle soup is! It is enough to share with two people! Side note, I did order 6 extra wontons. The noodles is not your typical egg noodle that you get in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles. To me, it was similar to ramen egg noodles. They were soft and not at all salty! No cilantro in their broth (HUGE plus because i hate cilantro, haha). The meat inside the wonton was pork and shrimp. It was very meaty and I loved how the skin was a slurp consistency. It is a small little mom and pop shop located in the the middle of a small town. They had a couple of tables for dining in and the service was amazing. They speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Their onion pancake was crispy and flavorful. Their cheese fried wontons are also very crispy and creamy! I've mentioned to my friend to always take me here whenever I come back! The best dumplings in town! We actually drive all the way from Folsom just to try this place. Every order is consistent and tastes authentic. The people are super nice and love how they have deals on the website. We always get at least 3 meals out of this! We love the fried dumplings, bad buns, and the cream cheese wontons. I came for the first time. I usually pass by here but never had time to stop by until today when my sugar dropped and had to eat something quickly. Location: parking in the front but limited in this small plaza. It is walking distance from the schools. Food: I got 12 dumplings, 6 were pork and chive and the other 6 were chicken and corn. They are pan fried. They are slightly smaller than Costco potstickers. But they're a good bite size. For the pan fried, I recommend that the cook oil drained it before serving. Even though the oil they used isn't old, which is a plus for me, seeing the oil everywhere on the plate looks messy and isn't appetizing. You might say "well then get the steam if you don't want to see the oil" yes true but presentation is important. The super star is the sauce. It can use a little bit more ginger though. You have to submerge your dumplings to have a well balanced bite. If you dip a little it won't do it Justice. Customer service: the cashier was very nice and she allowed me to mix my dumplings. She recommended steam but I went with pan fried bc I didn't have that before. Please note that pan fried will add $1.00 to your $13 cost. read more

Coming here for a late lunch was the most marvelous idea. Yes, the menu is small but amazing. We decided to get the barbecue dumplings and the sausage fried rice. The dumplings sauce made the meal spectacular in every sense. We even used it on the rice. Of course, we had to get drinks. I enjoyed the rose tea and my daughter got the Thai Iced Tea. Really really tasty dumplings!! I've been eating here for years and I think the kimchi pork and seafood dumplings are the best. But no worries, if you want to try them all, you can! They have an option on the menu to try 2 of each of their dumpling flavors so you can pick your own favorite. Their other dishes are also good. I tried their chili eggplant for the first time, and though it was on the salty-side, it was still very tasty. I've been coming here since they opened years ago. Needless to say, it's been my favorite dumpling spot hands down. I was still in community college and when I saw this place open up I was so excited. First came here with a friend and had a small plate of dumplings and their strawberry black tea. Immediately I was hooked. It became my spot to study and do my homework and I loved being there. I have so many great memories of dining in with friends, family, and ordering takeaway, being so excited every time. I love dipping my entire steamed dumpling in the house sauce mixed with chili-oil!! When COVID hit, I was very worried about this place because it is pretty small. But the hardworking staff really pulled it off. Being able to buy a bag of premade frozen dumplings to cook at home was nothing short of amazing. They had modified their door to just be a take out front and honestly I was just so happy they pushed through. Even now this place still surprises me. I had only ever ordered consistently 2.5 dozen steamed dumplings (pork&veg, chicken&corn, and half chive or kimchi) and my strawberry tea. But I went with a first time friend and she ordered the veggie udon and I was shocked how simple and delicious it was. I would have never considered it before but now it will be my one of my go-to dishes when I dine in. The staff are always so kind and on a few occasions have treated me with a complimentary slice of their Mille crepe. I never expect it, but I'm always thoroughly happy when they do. The only hard part about this place is parking -- the lot is tiny and is shared with two other businesses. But that's just by the old fashioned design of Freeport. I recommend parking across the street, either street parking or at the parking spots between Yummy Cafe and McDonalds if there's nothing available in the lot. Otherwise their take-out game is amazing and I recommend supporting these people! read more

Still excellent as ever! So glad they got better takeout containers, too. They still lean on the sweeter side of savory and I'M STILL HERE FOR IT. You have to get pan fried dumplings. They're chewy and a little crispy-carmelized, it's the supreme eating experience. My favorites are shrimp and chicken, and also, surprisingly, kimchi dumplings. I say surprisingly because I am a spice weenie. These are now way spicier than I recall, and I don't even like kimchi, but they are basically a sweet cabbage with a spice kick. It's the type of spice that burns the edges of your mouth a few moments later, but it doesn't linger too long and if you get the cucumber appetizer, you can quickly cool your tastebuds with an excellent crunch. The soy sauce is also on the sweeter side of savory, like everything else. And it does not have any pickled or sour flavor that I could pick up, which I like. The cucumber appetizer texture is very unique. It's almost as if they crush the cucumber so it breaks lengthwise into 4 pieces, then they cut it horizontally into bite size pieces. I like it! Not spicy at all, very crisp and refreshing, and served cold. A perfect pairing with the spice of the kimchi dumplings. The broccoli recipe seems slightly different, but still very good. The garlic seems to have a slightly sweet and savory sauce maybe thickened with cornstarch, and that is served on top, with maybe still a little sweet soy sauce. Perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, but thoroughly cooked through. Hot coconut ginger milk tea is still as good as ever. Feels less thick than before, more ginger sediment, and I don't actually remember it having tea before but I am fairly certain there is some type of black tea or maybe a jasmine tea in it. Very nice, sweet, creamy but liquidy, lightly floral, and lightly spiced by ginger. SUPREME. I will probably always order the same stuff. Long live dumpling and tea house!!! read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while and the dumplings were pretty amazing- hearty, clean, well cooked, and the cream cheese wontons were seriously good too. Dumpling based menu with other tasty looking items so don't expect the full dim sum experience. 12 dumplings come in an order- chicken and corn with broth and pan fried pork and chive were yummy. I also got the bbq pork bao and onion bread which were also great. Quite possibly one of the fluffiest soft good tasting boa I've had. I work a couple of doors down and have never tried their food. So two of my coworkers and myself decided to check it out today. First I and my one coworker both got lemon chicken with steamed white rice and broccoli. Mine the chicken was so dry I could barely chew it and the lemon sauce was so bitter it was really disgusting. I told the lady but she acted like it was no big deal so I just left it on the table when we left because it was too gross to eat. My coworker that got the same thing hers the only reason they gave her a refund was because there was a long black hair in her food. Then my other coworker told them this is not what i ordered. She ordered chaomein. The owner was literally arguing with the cashier saying she has to eat that she ordered it. But my coworker said I'm sorry I'm not eating this because it's not what ordered. They argued some more then finally made her the chao mein but by then our break was over so we all left hungry and upset.
