Lunch plate minus 2 shrimp and a broccoli stem
    TammyLynn I.

I probably wouldn't come again, though I suspect this place has potential! I drove by this morning while running errands and got a craving for delicious rice and shrimp! After a day of dreaming of honey walnut shrimp and fried rice, I came up... wanting... I'm not sure the broccoli had any salt at all and unfortunately that was the most flavorful of the lunch plate. I usually don't add soy sauce to meals once cooked but in order to taste the flavor of the rice I needed to add a full packet. 3 stars because the presentation was nice and perhaps the takeout DoorDash orders are rushed through flavortown instead of being given normal care and attention? Cream cheese wontons were delicious dipped in sweet sour sauce, though a bit dry without. Thanks for lunch.

We brought our big family in for a last minute lunch, and every single dish was absolutely on point. The Mongolian tofu and protein dishes were incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The noodles were another standout, not overly oily. Even the pickiest eater in the family gave it a two thumbs up. Service was quick, efficient, and so friendly, even with a larger group. They made us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone who wants delicious food, great portions, and that warm, family-run touch. This place is a gem!

Lucky Jade has been one of my go-to spots for local Chinese food, whether dining in or ordering takeout. While I've yet to try their dim sum, something I'll definitely have to do one day, all the items on their menu look delicious. Some of my favorites include their BBQ Pork Fried Rice and BbQ Chow Mein, which are consistently flavorful and satisfying. This time, we decided to DoorDash our order, and as always, the food didn't disappoint. We got the Hot and Spicy Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, and the BBQ Pork Chow Mein. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, with bold flavors that hit the spot. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, large enough to accommodate banquets and events, which makes it a great option for gatherings. I'm looking forward to trying their dim sum next time!

    The noodles were handmade.

Chef Yeung楊師傅's handmade noodles it's on the "Chef's Specialty" menu, the Shanghai style fried thick noodles is made with Chef's handmade noodles, it has the slight chewy texture. I saw it on the menu and glad I ordered it, the owner who was also the waitress told me the noodle was handmade. It was not your typical Shanghai stir-fried noodles, but it sure was delicious. She also told me this noodles was also good in beef soup noodles too.

Quality/Quantity - Huge extensive menu, but they were still able to do ALL of it well! And our guest tried to order everything on the menu, JK. Complimentary appetizers, Deep Fried Rice and Meat Pocket - Thank you, and it was piping HOT off the frier. Fried Cheese Wonton (6) - Fresh out of the fryer, so wait a few minutes before eating or you might burn yourself. My daughter's favorite. Shrimp Dumplings - Good. Pork Dumpling - Good, consistent with typical dim sum. Shark Fin Dumpling - One of my favorites! Chao Zhou Dumpling - As there were only 3, I forfeited my share. Plus I do not really enjoy peanut dim sum. Beef Rice Noodle Roll - Two orders; we were only able to finish one. Pan Fried Pork Bun - Fried well. Well proportioned with bread/dough and filling. See picture of the half bun. Sticky Rice, Chicken - We were all so full that no one ate this. Gave one to our guest to take home, and we took the other home. Might update this review after eating. Minced Pork Lettuce Wrap - Home run, fresh crispy lettuce with flavorful pork. Need I say more? Pan Fried Stuffed Tofu - Another one of my daughter's favorite. Pan Fried Stuffed Mushrooms - Another daughter's favorite. Pan Fried Stuffed Eggplant - Trying to eat healthier. Hot Tea - Thanks for using real tea leaves rather than tea bags. But I would prefer a filter to minimize the leaves in my cup. Thai Iced Tea - Good, a treat for my well deserved daughter. Atmosphere - Huge location. Banquet room, side semi private room, main dining room, etc. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm. Plenty of mall parking. Service - 5+ stars! Looks like the entire extended family works and eats here. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Plus, thank you for all the complementary foods, etc. It also helps that our guest is a regular customer. Price - $110 + generous tip. Inexpensive for all that we got! Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2021. I know it is getting more and more competitive in the banquet room market; wishing you the best.

    Dimsum and some...

Food: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 We came on a Sunday morning for dimsum, and it's not busy, got seated right away to accommodate 8 people. No push cart here, made to order on dimsum. Food came out quickly, decent and fair price, but kung Pao beef was a little salty for my taste bud. Menu was not as extensive as most Chinese restaurants, limited choices. They didn't have my pea shoots veggie so, star knocked off a-bit for not having my favorite dishes. Service was good, and the older ladies server makes you feel like you're at your auntie's home for food, they are very helpful. The owner did came out to help micromanaged a bit. Ambiance was comfortable, tables were spaciously spaced out, not overly crowded like most restaurants. Gratuity are included for more than 6 people at 20%. Restaurants seemed clean and well maintained. Hopefully they have more family style dishes in the future to try.

My husband and I lived in the Bay Area for a while before moving to Davis for school, so our standards are pretty high. Unfortunately this is not going to be my new go to. Although the flavors of the food were pretty OK, we found everything to be really soft. Our shrimp and chive dumplings were literally disintegrating and my chicken feet were too soft. The sticky rice, however, and the tripe were delicious sui mai, and ha gao were pretty good, with the sui mai being pretty juicy. We paid $100 for 10 dishes! I know prices have gone up everywhere but this felt pretty steep. Overall, I don't think we'd come back. I would rather go to South Sacramento and eat dim sum there and then get my Asian grocery shopping done. Restaurant itself looked like a standard Chinese dim sum restaurant. Nothing to write home about.

So I'm planning my next trip here this week so I can enjoy the amazing cucumber salad (so fresh, crunchy and garlicky), their pepper beef clay pot (sizzling rice at the bottom for the win and big portions), their spicy tofu (umm what?!? So crispy) and their awesome skewers (the pork belly is my favorite). The space is small, so if you're planning on dining in during peak times, you may want a back up or take it to go as they only have a handful of tables inside and a few tables outside. There is parking but it is shared with other business so can get busy. The service is wonderful! The hostess/waitress was very friendly and everything came out relatively quick. The clay pot does take some time (they need to cook up the rice to get that awesome crunchy bottom) so place your order for that first, and then look at the appetizers and skewers as they come out fast. It was nice enough that I tried to come here on a weekend night and it was packed full of families which is great but probably where I should have thought about it more. We went up to the counter and were told to wait a few minutes. I saw that a large table was clearing up so I didn't mind waiting. During this time a group came up behind us and I thought they were after us. One of the server waved in our general direction after cleaning up and splitting the table, so I thought they were gesturing to us since it has already been 10 minutes of waiting. Wrong, it was to the group behind us. Maybe it was communicated in mandarin that they had a reservation, I'm not sure. I waited for the next empty table, which was also taken by yet another group that magically appeared behind us as if they knew they were in line. I decided to leave after this. My issue is that I looked and talked to the staff multiple times and at no point, did they indicate there was a waitlist, nor did they take my name, or anything about people in front of us. It was really frustrating because being told it would be a few minutes set the wrong expectation. This is not the only place to get skewers so if you're left confused where you are in line, just come another weekday, speak mandarin, or go somewhere else like I did

Despite there being endless selections in Sacramento sometimes the American Chinese options are .... bleh ... They are either too oily. Mediocre taste. Overpriced. It's hard to find one that really stands out. Recently my coworkers and I all pitched in on takeout from here for Lunar New Year and ordered five dishes as takeout. One of my coworkers was the one who recommended this spot. Let me just say the food was incredible. The seafood chow mein was the standout dish out of everything. Loaded with octopus tentacles, scallops, shrimp. Feel like half the time you get seafood options these days they skimp out but this place did not disappoint. The fried rice was a little more unique than I've personally tried before with pieces of beef and cabbage. But still very tasty. And the pork dishes we got including the sweet and sour were just incredible. One thing I do want to mention was some pieces of the pork did have a bone attached, but I honestly didn't mind it much. The flavor made it up for it. Also inside of this place looks very modern, clean. Since we only got takeout I can't say for certain service for sit down but ordering and getting our food was simple. The staff were very kind and friendly. Again, THANK GOD I finally have a good Chinese food option. No more oily salty food or Panda Express.
