I'm coming out of Yelp retirement to warn people about this place. I ordered from them last night based on their Doordash photo of their egg fu yung, plus added orders of chicken chow mein and and broccoli beef. I wish I had taken photos, but food's ugliness doesn't always mean it's bad and the word of mouth was so positive. The egg fu yung sauce and items were burnt, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought ok maybe they're heavy on dark soy sauce but no this was simply poorly cooked food. Unbearably salty AND bland. The chow mein noodles were rubbery with colorless vegetables, and the broccoli beef just tasted like nothing, overcooked and mushy. In a season of economic struggles, we all need things we buy to be worth their price - value has never mattered more. And it's been a long time since I've had restaurant food this poorly prepared, there's absolutely no excuse for it. I'm willing to believe it was just a little bad luck. But with zero redeeming value on this first order, I now regret not ordering from my local favorite. I'm not paying $60+ for burnt tasteless food again, and it shouldn't have even happened once. read more

I drove by, and was very surprised to see that this place was still here. Last time I ate here, was in the late 90s, when I was in the National Guard on Meadowview, and we would come here for lunch. It's changed a little bit. It used to be full service, now it's a "quick serve" where you order at the counter". The menu is still large, and the prices on the menu are reasonable. I had the four seasons, which is chicken, beef and shrimp, with veggies in sauce. I had it with chow mein and fried rice, and I also ordered an egg roll. The main dish was very good. There was a good amount of the proteins, and the veggies were done, just right. Not too soft, not under done. It was a very decent sized portion. The fried rice was also good, it was a good texture, and a very good flavor. The chow mein tasted very good, but it was just a little bit mushy. The eggroll also tasted very good. There was a little bit of a cinnamon taste to it, which came from the five spice. I love five spice. The only problem with the egg roll, was that it was cold in the middle. A little bit of a letdown. Overall, though, a good meal. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will stop by again. Thank you. read more

I really wanted to like this place! Ordered 4 dishes and only one was decent. House fried rice was bland and meat was questionable. General Chicken was tough, over fried and the sauce had a weird burnt taste. The egg foo young also lacked flavor though the sauce was good-the omeletted had chunks of dough/flour or whatever binder they used. Unfortunate because this order was $85 and half is going in the bin and I won't back. read more

Don't be scared to order something fried and sauced, there's plenty of meat in there in there unlike other places that give you a pile of sauced batter minus the meat. The food is good and reasonably priced for today's market. The portions are fair. It's not the kind of place you'd want to sit and eat your food. It's just the kind of place to go and pick something up, or perhaps get a delivery from. The servers have always been pleasant. Some transients about but have never been bothersome. read more

Wayne's Wok has been a staple in the community of over 32 years. I have been coming here for The last 20 years. Since 2020 The service and food quality has greatly declined. The service was horrible. The food is served in to go containers even though we choose to eat inside. It was paperplates and papercups with plastic utensils. I had asks for water and napkins. The food quality was absolutely disgusting. The food tasted like it was spoiled and overcooked. I would not recommend this place or be returning here again. read more

What if I told you this place has the best orange chicken in town?? I've been going to Wayne's Wok for years. Its not a flashy establishment. Its figuratively what people call a hole in the wall and telling by how long they've been up and running.. Its working for them. I discovered this place when I was a kiddo and my dad used to bring to-go plates home from work. specifically the orange chicken! I've been to a good share of Chinese restaurants and I think its fair to say that every business has their own way of making their food. Out of them all.. I can easily say that Wayne's Wok has the best orange chicken! I get it over steamed rice and their servings sizes are huge. Shareable to say the least. It comes with a few pieces of broccoli because "health" LOL. The chicken is crispy and the sauce is on point! Not drenched in sauce but not dry, just perfect. Another banger here is their crispy pepper (JUMBO) shrimp and asparagus. comes mixed with jalapenos and is an explosion of deep fried flavors. read more

FIND ANOTHER CHINESE RESTAURANT. The food was terrible. I wish I had looked closer at the reviews. After taking a few bites of the walnut prawns, we threw them out. Goopy sauce, the prawns were not crispy and canned pineapples thrown in . The Chow mein had very few vegetables and chicken and was very heavy on the soy sauce. Eatable but barely. The fried rice was only ok. WAY too much soy sauce in the rice and only a sprinkling of carrots and celery. Even worse, I was talked into getting the jumbo size of the rice and chow mein ended up paying $47 for this lovely experience. SAVE YOUR MONEY, go somewhere else. Orange chicken and beef and broccoli were pretty good., but the Mongolian beef was a whole other story. It smelled like, and I am not kidding in anyway when I say this, human pee. I loved coming here because I love supporting my local businesses in the neighborhood and telling my friends and family how good the food is. Recently in my experience here, I contracted food poisoning. I'm not trying to bash Wayne's wok or their staff but for some reason I knew the food I'd ordered didn't taste well and I still ate it because I had paid money for it and I was hungry. I would like to leave them a personal note if I can. It would be "if because of Covid 19 you're having problems procuring ingredients I think you should let your customers know this, so that they can make their own choice weather to continue eating at your restaurant or not." read more

This food is average and priced high. You can get the same quality food and bigger portions that will feed your entire family elsewhere. Their portions will feed about 2 maybe three and I thought Chinese was a family style kind of food. They charge double for jumbo portions. It would actually be better to get a combo plate for each person because it will probably be cheaper. They are just over priced. Thought we would try this place after a while. I used to come here regularly as a kid then they fell off for a while sloppy and gross. Thought I would try again because it's been quite a few years since I last been here but we won't be coming back because I can spend $50 feed my entire family and have some left over for me and my husband the next day compared to $70. **BEWARE** This will be quick and easy. I was planning to grab a soup from this place but quickly changed my mind when I saw this right outside their door. Never will I EVER go to this place. They clearly are not sanitary and have been shut down before by the Health Department. I'm so grossed out. So in conclusion DO NOT EAT HERE, do it for your health. My old coworkers used to talk about this place, but I never bothered to try it. It seemed to be greasy Chinese food. The group I was with decided to grab a quick lunch from here. Quick indeed as the food was swiftly bought out. I saw a picture of the crispy pepper shrimp with asparagus and decided to go with that. It came with a lot of rice- over cooked.
