I especially like getting the $2.95 Thai iced tea because it is MASSIVE for the price compared to other places. It's the good amount of tea flavor to sweetness for me. Great for a mid-day pick me up. The food portions are on the larger side if you're dining alone so expect to take some leftovers if you don't have a huge appetite. I personally recommend the cucumber salad, green beans, and XLB. I enjoyed my food in both of my visits here. I tried the veggie dumplings, chicken and corn dumplings, and pork pot stickers. I liked the extra touch of adding chopped baby corn garnish to the chicken and corn dumplings. I liked everything and the dumpling sauce and chili oil complemented everything perfectly. There is comfortable indoor seating and a welcoming atmosphere; the decor is cute dumpling themed images on the walls among other art. You can order online for pickup and they share a parking lot with other businesses, including Sweetgreen and Urban Plates. The service was alright on my 1st visit (friendly greeting from an employee at the door but the cashier offered no help when I mentioned it was my 1st time there). However, the service was great on my 2nd visit. Sometimes we get a craving for a really tasty dumpling, so of course I had to try Tasty Dumpling! Parking can be challenging because they're in a strip center that has numerous restaurants with very limited parking. Parking is free, so that's a plus. The restaurant has a very strange odor. It doesn't smell like food. It smells more like harsh disinfectant and something else that just is unappetizing. The patrons that were dining in, seemed completely unbothered by it, and if the woman had not come to the counter to take my order, I'm more than likely would have walked out. There is a variety of options on the menu, and I asked for recommendations and ended up ordering the pork steamed dumplings, and the sesame balls. The "dumplings " ( pot stickers) were pan seared not steamed, which may have been a blessing in disguise. They keep different sauce options on the tables to make it easy to choose your spice level, etc. I found the dumplings to be OK but nothing special. The dumpling itself was very gummy, but the filling while tasty was more like a hard meatball. The two just did not marry well together. The sesame balls were good, but not fantastic. They lacked a sesame flavor, and again had a gummy consistency. Not fantastic, but OK. This was my first time visiting Tasty Dumpling, and I stopped in with a few friends to try a variety of dishes. We ordered a few items to share, and I really wanted to like this place because the food itself was actually pretty decent. Unfortunately, the service ruined the whole experience. From the moment we walked up to the counter, it was clear that the employees were more invested in their personal conversation (which had nothing to do with work, by the way) than in helping us. When we placed our order, the employee acted visibly irritated, eye rolls and all, like we were an inconvenience for simply... being customers. Not a great first impression, but we brushed it off. Then came the awkward part: our food came out at completely different times, with zero communication, no customer service, and no regard for the basic dining experience. Will I return to this location? Absolutely not. But I am open to trying a different location, in the hopes that the staff is better trained in basic hospitality. These soup dumplings were so delicious! They had a good amount of meat and broth and were comparable to dumplings I've had in SoCal! They also have a dumpling sauce, idk what's in it but it is incredible!! The garlic green beans were also cooked to perfection. My friends and I checked out Tasty Dumpling for dinner last night. I have been to the other location by Sac City, but I was still excited to check out this location last night. It is located in the same plaza as Urban Plates on Fair Oaks Blvd. This location is a little bit larger than Sac City, but the setup is still the same. We ordered the Combination Dumplings (Vegetarian and Pork and Shrimp), Cheese Rangoons and Cold Noodles to share. It was more than enough for the 3 of us to split - we still had a good amount left over! Everything was really good - just like the other location. We all enjoyed the 3 items and left full and satisfied. The Cold Noodles were my favorite though - they are always so light and refreshing - I recommend getting the spicy sauce on the side - it is so good on the noodles. The Cheese Rangoons were sweeter than I like, but I still really enjoyed them and I also enjoyed the Dumplings - they each had the perfect amount of filling. Upon entering the restaurant, we were promptly greeted by an employee and we loved the aroma waffling out of the kitchen. We ordered after contemplating so many options: pork and shrimp xiaolongbao, combination dumplings, cheese rangoon, scallion pancake, and chocolate milk. Xiaolongbao is the term for soup dumplings and my family loved them! We chose chicken and corn, beef, tasty shrimp, & pork and shrimp steam dumplings for our combination dumplings. We wished they were labeled which dumplings were of two but they all tasted great. My toddler absolutely loved the cheese rangoon and scallion pancake, eating 3-4 pieces of each dish. I stopped by Tasty Dumpling after driving down Fair Oaks Blvd and never noticed the Tasty Dumpling before. I walked in an was greeted immediately by a younger man at the counter. I was asked if I've even tried them before? I answered, no and he explained the menu and gave me time to look over it since they have a lot of offerings. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating to dine in. They have only been open for about 4 months. The serve dumplings, rice, noodles, Baos, etc... as well as frozen dumpling to cook at got if you wish. I ended up ordering, the pork Buns, crab rangoons, shrimp chow mein and chicken chow mein. The have early bird discounts if you ordering within an hour or 2 of the restaurant opening as well as Happy Hour on beers. I ordered my food to go. Everything looks delicious and everything is made fresh to order. They are a little pricey as well. I truly enjoyed everything I ordered except the pork Buns. I was expecting it to me filled with bbq pork. They didn't put a description on the menu so that's what I assumed. It was filling with the mashed/steamed dumpling pork and it was terrible, texture wise and flavor wise it did not work at all and made the bread in the middle soggy. I won't be ordering that again. We visited this spacious Chinese dumpling restaurant, which also has its own parking lot, which made dining convenient. You order at the counter, and they will give you the number, and then they serve you food. We ordered the pork XLB (soup dumplings), a mix of beef and shrimp dumplings, and shrimp chow mein. Everything tasted flavorful and well-prepared. The XLBs were impressively large, with juicy, non-fatty fillings that made them especially enjoyable. The steamed dumplings were also excellent -- very juicy without being greasy. I requested less salt and less oil for the chow mein, and it still turned out delicious, with good flavor and texture. Bad service and I found various eggshells in my fried rice. I went in person to order to go food. I sat down and about 25 minutes later I asked the server if my food was done and it had been done waiting on their counter for 20 minutes. Next time, save your customers some time and let them know their food is ready. Then I got home and I was eating my fried rice when I felt pain from biting onto something hard. I spat it out to find eggshells, I looked through the rice and found 3 more pieces and one was pretty big. I do wish the spicy dumplings were a little more...spicy, but with enough of chilli oil, anything can become spicy! Simply put, the food is DELISH! We've been to 2 locations so far and both are so good! Our favorite dishes are the Pan Fried Juicy Pork Bun, Chicken Chow Mein, and Pork Xiao Long Bao. But honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their dishes. We've tried lots of their dishes and everything is as their name suggests, TASTY! You can't see the chefs hard at work in the kitchen, whipping up the food which is a nice distraction while you wait. The food is made FRESH and is delivered to your table piping hot! The place is not super big but it's cozy and they can definitely accommodate a decent size party. You order at the counter which makes it a great place to visit with a group of friends. DRINKS: They sell bottled water, bottled sodas and juices, and bottled beer. They also have water (served in a cup) if you don't feel like paying for an expensive bottle of water. PARKING: They share a parking lot with many other businesses. People are constantly coming and going and we don't have any issues with finding a spot. Food is okay, with hiccups in the service. Came here with friends after an event. This area looks pretty new, so I was intrigued to try out a new restaurant. There werent too many people when we first arrived. The menu has a good amount of things to choose from and the prices arent too different from similar restaurants. We ordered at the counter, were given a number, then sat a table to wait for our food. When we sat, we could see that it started to get really busy, between a few people eating in and food delivery drivers waiting for orders. We had to ask several times for a few things, like water, utensils and parts of our order. We did end up waiting for a while for our order to come out. Maybe they're still ironing out things. We tried the pork soup dumplings, beef bun, and spicy won tons. The soup dumplings didnt have too much flavor and had a little bit of soup in each. The beef bun didnt have much filling and didnt have much taste. The wonton soup was my favorite. It had the most flavor, but I was the only one of my group that ended up liking it. I would be interested in probably trying out more of the menu further down the line when they find their rhythm, but its a little hard to recommend them right now. read more

This location is pretty new (as of December 2025). Let's just say our family went twice in one week! We really thought their pork potstickers were well made. A little crispy in the edges, tender on the inside. I really like the scallion pancakes which were a good amount of chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The one dish that was only meh was the plain noodle soup. I really wanted noodle soup and this was the only option. I even added beef and it was really plain. We ordered - Xian cold noodles - Xiao long bao - Fried pork dumplings - Scallion pancake The food came out quickly. All the dishes were very good. My favorite were the Xian cold noodles which were very fresh and had a great bite and flavor. The serving was also very generous. Both my friend and I are a lot and still had enough leftovers for a small meal. Our total bill with tip was $60 (we also had a tea) which was a little on the pricey side but I do understand that the price of eating out everywhere has gone up a lot. Staff were very friendly. I really wanted to love Tasty Dumpling, especially with the bubbly personality of the person who took my order and sitting in a spot where I could watch them freshly making the dough and dumplings. However, I found the food mediocre. The display in which it was served was fantastic, and the buns were clearly freshly steamed. There was a bit too much dough compared to filling in my opinion. It took several bits to get to the filling on either one (I ordered red bean and pork), and only took a few bites to eat all the filling. The red bean bun overall had great flavor and texture, just I really would have enjoyed less dough and more filling. The pork one was not my favorite. The pork looked like a small, cheap, frozen patty. I will say it did taste better than it looked, and on closer inspection looked probably made in house (uneven, visible pieces of ingredients). However, it was so tiny that it was not very filling. I was expecting more of shredded pork filling all the empty space as I have had at other places. They have a large menu, which we appreciated. We had the spicy pork soup dumplings and the deep fried pork buns! The fried ones were very unique and the spicy dumplings weren't too spicy at all. I gave in to my craving for stir fry green beans after trying it at their first location (Crocker Dr.) and decided to check out this location! It's located off Howe and Fair Oaks Blvd, has a small parking lot but a bit more space indoors compared to their location. Because it's newly opened, the wait time for ordering and receiving food can take a while due to high volume of customers. It took about 30-40 minutes to order in-person and wait for takeout. I recommend calling to order ahead of time if you are not planning to dine in. Unfortunately, the employee at the front was responsible for being a cashier and waitress at the same time. With the long line of customers waiting to order takeout or dine in, and seats already filled with customers waiting to be checked on, it seemed very overwhelming for her. They should've had at least two people up there during their grand opening period to properly handle these rushes. The food was good and plentiful, can't really go wrong with stir fry green beans and some rice. I didn't get the chance to try their dumplings but I'd like to come back and dine in when it's less busy! read more

When you walk in you order at the counter then they give you a number if you are dining in and you choose your own table from what I could tell. I ordered takeout and it took a bit, however since they just opened it wasn't a big deal. I got the pork xiao long bao, traditional xian noodle, and a thai ice tea. The pork xiao long bao I felt like didn't have quite enough soup but the flavor was great! The traditional xian noodle was a cold noodle in their chili oil sauce that was pretty refreshing. Their thai tea was also pretty good but just a little too much cream in my opinion. Overall I thought the food was pretty good and that this place is a good addition to the arden area. read more

The interior was clean, modern, and quite spacious and there were already some patrons dining inside. I waited an extra 10-ish minutes after my pickup time for my order to be ready, and the girl at the counter packaged it up securely. The Tasty Shrimp Dumplings were very good, especially with soy sauce and chili oil. I also got an order of Egg Drop Soup, which turned out to be massive. My favorite dumpling spot! Their juicy pan fried pork dumplings are my weakness. They are so flavorful! I have also tried their flat noodles, but they were a little bland. Their fried rice is delicious and has become the perfect pair with the dumplings. They are usually pretty busy but service is quick and efficient. Inside the restaurant is small and homey. It is a cozy spot to eat in with friends and family. There is also a spot to sit if you waiting for takeout. I'm looking forward to trying more things on their menu! read more
