We went to Duffy's with my Sister and family for breakfast. The food was terrible, especially for the price you pay. We ordered biscuits and gravy and the gravy was so incredibly garlicky that we couldn't eat it at all. We mentioned it to the server and of course she didn't offer any substitution or take it off our bill. We had 7 people with us and it was just a terrible experience and we will not be back. From what I can tell they have certainly gone downhill. read more

I've eaten here every year for the past 25 years, my familybeven longer than that. The menu is extensive and has lots of diner classics as well as things like bison burgers and clams when in season. The servers while quirky are nice and always do their best. It's a cozy diner setting with an attached lounge with pulltabs and a slot or 2. I'd recommend every time. read more

After a day on the beach we felt a homestyle type place would fit the bill. I was a bit concerned from the previous reviews, but glad we stopped in. 9 in the group including 4 kids. Service- great! I didn't catch our servers name this Tuesday night, but she was very attentive, put up with our myriad of questions, special requests, etc with a pleasant demeanor and prompt follow thru. The kids loved the pile of pickles on their plate, everyone who ordered burgers enjoyed them and the fry sauce for the frys. The boxed Mac n cheese was a hit! Seriously. The patty melt was solid The fish n chips delicious The fried chicken dinner was good for its style, (my wife really enjoyed it) but I prefer breaded chicken vs the dusted chicken that so many enjoy. Popped in here on our way back from clamming for a late breakfast. We had the choice of the buffet or off the menu, we chose the buffet. We were directed to the lounge where we paid close to $70 for 2 people for cold food. The clam fritters were horrendous, the biscuits werecold and hard and the rest was barely any better. The buffet was kept "warm" by sterno although they had burned out clearly way before we got there. The fruit was from a "bucket" which is where we heard one of the waitresses tell another to refill it from. The "dessert" was itty bitty muffins which were store bought since we watched them being restocked from the containers with bare hands. The rest of the day we felt a icky and uninterested in food. So disappointing. Used to come here years ago on the way home from the ocean. We just moved to town and wanted this to be our regular Sunday morning breakfast spot. No way! We went today (Sunday Dec 4th), and it wasn't busy. The wait staff was fine, but the food!! It was awful! The hasbrowns weren't even cooked, not one crispy piece of potato, they were sad, soggy, and yellow, i literally took a tiny bite, and thats it. The eggs, sunny side up, were almost raw. I like a runny yolk but the whites were still runny and that's nasty. For how expensive they are, I expect the food to be awesome. We will find a different place to be our regular spot. Duffys is more aimed at overcharging tourists than serving good food. I'd rather go to dennys. read more

Passed by on the way back from Olympic peninsula for some breakfast and got waffle breakfast and ham and cheese omelet. They were good and down right but not impressive. They were busy so had to wait a bit for water but they came to refill often after the initial wait. read more

Service was slow at 2pm and a handful of tables. Food was okay. Kids mac and cheese came from a box and microwaved (I asked and waitress confirmed). Also asked for the cook staff to try the clam chowder that is advertised because it seemed very salty. The waitress informed us it comes from a can and they add bacon to it. I was disappointed in my first time experience. The reason for the 2 stars is the coconut cream pie was the size of a dinner plate and tasted delicious. My hope is that maybe the pie is made in house. Either way it was plenty for 4 to share and pleased the tastebuds. Maybe next time just coffee and pie. On the way out my children got gumballs and one was growing something and the other one was hard as a rock. The gumball machine is barely used is my assumption so the gumballs are very old. read more

I was given the breaded cod, with what tastes like broccoli cheddar soup and a baked potato. Wanted to like but ... the restaurant is very outdated and overpriced . The staff was a bit stiff and made you feel a bit uncomfortable. My husband got the French dip . It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either . I ordered the monte Cristo it was actually pretty tasty but pretty pricey for just a sandwich . We ordered our son the mini burger. It was just a small patty on a dinner roll. Our table was a little dirty and the waitress noticed but she just picked the crumbs up with her hands instead of seating us somewhere new or getting a cloth. Duffy's has gone downhill! Haven't been there for 20 years. Decided to go on St Patrick's Day. The waitress acted like she was drugs and she kept saying random things. She kept forgetting to put the order in at the table behind us. The other waitress was complaining that she only had 2 tables when the druggy waitress had 5. The cost for the St Patrick's day dinner was embarrassing. The corn beef was dry and chewy and the carrots looked and tasted old. The floor was dirty, our table had food on the top and the bathroom had a bucket on the floor. By far the dirtiest, sloppy looking waitstaff and horrible tasting food that is overcharging the customers. The owner should be embarrassed. Will NEVER return to this dump of a restaurant again. Please ask the health inspector to pay this hole in the wall a visit. read more

Stopped in while passing thru on a road trip, and had an amazing meal! Down home, wholesome food - no frills but totally delicious. Our waitress Elaine recommended the beef and veggie soup, and while it wasn't something I'd ever order normally it was quite literally one of the best cups of soup I've ever had (apparently they use last night's prime rib in the soup and oh wow is it good!). Vibe is very old school small town diner, reminds me of the small town joint my grandparents went to every Friday night. Lots of seating, decent prices, and while we didn't get a chance to try the pie, the pies in the case were gloriously tall and delicious looking. read more

You have a choice between Duffy's and Denny's on this stretch of road and I haven't been to Denny's. Duffy's is horrible. Breakfast prices higher than Seattle, the food was marginal, and the service was average. Ordered their " giant " cinnamon roll. It was giant......and stale, and swimming in a drool of melted butter and sugar. Yuck. Either eat at Denny's or wait until Montesano or Elma. 1/2 star only because it was open. read more

The last three times I have been satisfied with the service and quality of food. My wife typically orders a hamburger, and all three times the french fries came out cold. We advised the wait staff, and they always offered to bring a replacement, which takes time. If you wait for the fries to come out, the burger will get cold, so by the time the fries come out you are almost finished with the burger. the last time, the waiter brought the fries fairly quickly, but they were just as cold as the ones we had. We explained this to the waiter, and he told us that he advised the manager, and he was going to talk to the kitchen staff about it. I think that the manager should have come to our table and confirmed his plans to talk to the kitchen staff about the situation. He was not very visible. the dining room was fairly busy, it would seem to me that he should have been on the floor to make sure customers were satisfied. I also noticed a waitress who came to a table to take their drink order while leaning on the chair. Very unprofessional. I later noticed that she was a lead person or floor manager since she was checking the wait staff to make sure that their station is clean and set for next shift. read more

When we arrived, my girlfriend and I were greeted immediately and was seated right away! I got the best experience here. Duffy's made my morning so much better, no thanks to Brunch 101. On vacation and thought to stop at Duffy's for breakfast last Sat, 4/2. It was busy and waitstaff seemed super stressed. The food was good, solid. I had the chicken fried steak and hubby had the loggers breakfast. It was pricey, we also had one small orange juice and the total was around $50- for everything. The waitress barely checked on us, was stressed and appeared to not be getting along with her coworkers. Not sure what the problem was, but customers can feel when the vibe is off. The food was 4 stars, service was a 2.5, so I rounded up to 3 stars for service. read more

Stopped into this local place after seeing a billboard advertising their wild blackberry pie. There was 6 of us for dinner. The service was ok, not anything exceptional but our waitress was personable and responsive. The food was not good. The inside of the restaurant was aged and the carpet was stained, sticky and stinky. The walls lined with wallpaper had food splatter, who knows how old. We ordered the French dip sandwich, French dip burger, beef stroganoff, Captain's plate and the hot Turkey. The Captain's plate made my brother in law that has a stomach of steel, sick to his stomach. The beef stroganoff tasted like something served in a nursing home, no flavor, mushy with burger bits. The hot Turkey tasted as if it dumped straight from a Dinty Moore can. The French dip sandwich was ok at best and the burger encompassed only the flavor of salt. The coconut crème pie tasted very bland and subpar. The wild blackberry pie was not worth the visit as advertised, while it was probably the best tasting thing on the menu, I still would have rather had a pie from the frozen section from the grocery. No pictures were even captured of this disaster. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

My family and I were driving back from a camping weekend in Ocean Shores and wanted a good breakfast we saw Duffy's and I checked Yelp for reviews. I became nervous when I saw the heavy poor reviews - but we still came through. We ordered a variety - waffles - monte cristo - BLT - chicken fried steak - western omelette - and the 1 egg combo - we all were totally satisfied. Envision a upper scaled Dennys..... pretty sure the Clam Chowder was canned. Bland, sandy & not a meal worth eating again. Staff. Greeting male was funny and kind. He amused himself well his jokes. Duffy's Crab Egg Benedict used to be excellent, containing large pieces of crab and a great tasting hollandaise sauce. Now the sauce tastes like vinegar and you have to search with a magnifying glass to find tiny shreds of crab in it. It is too expensive to be such a disappointment! This was a little disappointing. We ordered the fried calamari (7.99) that had a heavy batter and was dry. The cup of clam chowder was very good. Thick and well-seasoned with bacon bits! Hubby ordered ONE razor neck clam (8.99) -- meh, and the fish and chips (18.99). They were piping hot!! Fish was 3 very thick slabs of halibut. The fries were plentiful and HOT! Service was friendly and "down-home". Lots of good-looking pies. They serve breakfast until 4pm if that is your gig. The plates coming out of the kitchen looked yummy. I felt $40 for lunch (no drinks) was expensive. Maybe prices are going up because wages are +$13/hr plus tips! read more
