Since it is a tourist area, once the summer has gone and fall winds down, many of the local businesses shut down for the winter. This can make finding restaurants that are open hard to find. Moclips Country Store was recommended by the staff where I was staying. They had a good variety of grocery items for such a small convenience store. I was able to try their pizza a couple times and found it to be very good. The only drawback was I had to call many hours ahead, because they hand make the pizza dough the same day. They have a pretty good selection of hot food items available, and if you want something special, your request just might be granted. Other than that, I found everything I needed for my short stay in the area. As far as other items of interest, they had a little nook off to the side that had children's books and a few board games available for purchase. If you are ever in the area, Moclips Country Store is a great little convenience store to patronize. I highly recommend!

Got a more traditional coconut snack of Zingers and a muffin combo I haven't seen before: Raspberry Lime. I didn't use the kitchen service when I went but someone did & it's smelled great. Completely non-retail related is the fabulous ocean view from the employee part of the parking lot.

Customer Service: 5 Location: 5 Parking: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Reservations: 5 Comfort: 5 Breakfast: 5 This military lodging is situated on the Naval Air Station in Pacific Beach, and approximately 2.5hrs west of Seattle, WA. We decided during our trip to northern Washington to stay at this military lodging and the reservation process was quick and easy. The staff employee that we spoke with was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Upon arrival this Navy Lodge has plenty of parking for their guests.Once we finally got checked in and in our room, we noticed that the staff was maintaining the facility at a very high standard of cleanliness. Lastly, the spouse and I truly enjoyed our visit with a very comfortable night of rest at a very affordable rate. @noirvedanaturals

Had a king suite which was worth the extra few bucks. Was clean and roomy. As for the bar - Great local beer selection on draft and bartender made a solid bloody too. Dinner menu is limited but perfect - they even had a bacon wrapped meatloaf special. Note - the restaurant and bar is open to the public. But you must be military affiliated to reserve a room.

Rising Tide Tavern - Ah, man...so good. There were actually 3 fish tacos, but we ate the first one before taking a picture. :P

I had come for fish tacos but they weren't serving them because they'd run out of red cabbage. That's why I still ordered a fish dish. Even the kid's size was too big. 2.5-3 filets. Lots of crunchy batter on both fish & potatoes. It's probably my french grandmother's fault but I use tartar on my fries. Never my fish (IMO-fish that need sauce isn't worth eating). However, the fish tasted differently from my usual preference. After removing the batter, which was fine on the potatoes, I decided it was the white fish used. I'm used to True Alaskan Cod. I have absolutely no idea what kind of fish is was. The Brussel spouts were very good, but way too much for 1, let alone 2. Loved their home made tartar sauce on my fries. Took home the remaining 2/3rds the spouts, 1 piece of fish and half my fries. Still curious about the tacos but I'm probably be otherwise occupied during the remaining time in the area. Thx.

They had a pomegranate grenadine which was super tasty. A con was that when you first enter the restaurant there is a strong odor of fish. Not the most pleasant. Another was that the service was not that attentive and a bit slow.

I ended up ordering to go from here. Everything on the menu looked really good. Walk inside, the place is squeaky clean. The waitress was extremely friendly. The chef in the kitchen made meatloaf that night and I am still disappointed I did not get it. I had ordered my food before realizing it was the special. The entire place smelled amazing! And I make a mean meatloaf :) All our food was wonderful. They make their prime cheesesteak was on garlic bread! Amazing! Their clam chowder was some of the best I've had anywhere. We will definitely be visiting this place again when we come back to the beach. We had dinner from there twice. You were only in town for two dinners. It's family friendly as well as a bar. The waitress shooshed someone that cussed because a child was there. I was highly impressed with the place. Definitely go and try them!

Sat at the bar and had the bartender walk right by me without acknowledging me. I had to stop her and ask for a drink. After i was finished with my food and drinks I spent a lengthy amount of time waiting for the server to come and cash out because she was so stuck in her phone. At one point there was even a customer that was trying to say thank you and goodbye to her and she didn't even stop what she was doing on her phone to say thank you for coming in. I believe her name was Jackie. Hopefully this is addressed because I truly enjoy the atmosphere and food and plan to continue coming out.
