The Moclips Store & Deli, perfect view of Pt Grenville on the right plus sanican in the parking lot...

Last time just had a corn dog & fried chicken wings, great mini mart deli grub, and I mean in a very good way, and this time a corn dog & a fresh grilled Phili Cheese steak to die for. Yes, best kept secret on the coast here. The staff that works here are very friendly, a very well stocked grocery store for its size, and every variety of food type available from what I can only describe as the tasty deep fried assortment of chicken & Jo's, corn dogs, & such to their fresh hand made burgers, deli & grilled sandwiches, pizza, & such, not just a cheap place for eats but great takeout meals when staying overnight at the nearby fancy rentals & rooms...

This seems to be like the one stop shop in town. All your basic necessities and snacks. They have everything from jumbo sized cans of cokes to kitty food, and a surprising vast selection of ocean spray flavored drinks! We missed the food here, but will have to try it next time were in the area! Grill opens at 6am, closes at 7pm.

We stopped in this place for the first time today and were greeted by some cool friendly people. It was even fun ordering the food... The burgers are hand made and fantastic..the onion rings were tasty. They have an excellent menu with a wide range of food. We paid another visit to our quaint country store... this time for their homemade pizza...OMG... it is the best pizza I have had in the state of Washingtonbe sure to get double cheese.. it will slither and slide like a great pizza should. Since it is carry-out only we took it to the beach.. amazing pizza on the perfect beach. They don't skimp on anything at this place... if you're a pizza lover you've got to try theirs. See y'all next time!

Tonight we decided to try the pizza. We have heard so many good things about it. OK.. coming from CA I have have great pizza. The pizza here has blown away anything I have had in CA. You guys know what you are doing!!!! We got a 16 inch pepperoni and sausage pizza with extra chesse. The crust was perfectly cooked, it was not greasy at all!!! I normally can eat a complete half by myself. I had 3 pieces and was stuffed!!! I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys GREAT pizza. We will make the 35 minute drive for this pizza over anyplace near us. You can also get these AMAZING pizzas to go as Take n Bake. We will be coming to get them probably weekly now!!!

I also have to mention that their prices have gone up a great deal in the store. It was a slap in the face to see how expensive items have gotten.

I spent roughly $300 a week on groceries conservatively speaking. The pricing of the products are higher in the Summer and tourist season. This sucks for the locals but it is common with all businesses in Ocean Shores. I recommend shopping at Costco for your staples before going on vacation in Ocean Shores. It's not uncommon to pay almost $10 for a bag of chips. Just a warning. The service is a hit or miss depending on the time of day and season. The staff can get tired of tourists and not be as friendly. The selection is limited due to the remote location of Ocean Shores. This means if you are looking for special ethnic foods and vegetables, you maybe out of luck. Bring these items from home. I am SE Asian and the selection was lacking as far as fresh herbs and greens go. I was missing many sauces over the years for stir fry like sesame seed oil, hunan, and chili oil. I drove to Olympia for Jasmine rice purchased 100lbs at a time. The deli is pricey but there is only one McDonalds in town and no other fast food options. Most the restauarants are $20 or more per entree. Hence the deli fried chicken and warn foods will look less expensive. The JoJos friend chicken is popular along with the potatoes wedges.

Some touristy Ts and pullovers with kitschy Sasquatch or Bears repurposing some faux 'PETA' garb bring a smile. As for some snacky snacks, Fritos and the like are available but not represented like any C store I've visited in recent times. Some ice cream, some soda and of course beer. Available. Area maps for the trails and indeed the entire peninsula seem to be plentiful. I wandered in hoping for perhaps a burger or fries to get me thru till I either sell another child to pay for a second fine dining experience at the LQLs Roosevelt Restaurant, or venture another mile north to the Salmon House. Which has high praise for a salmon dinner (I think I saw about 5 variations) or some steak offerings. The prawns were discouraged, per a local I inquired, due to the carry out only status. I meandered a bit off subject. I was informed that the food I sought wasn't available due to kitchen closure. When the pandemic forced closure, it appears the kitchen appliances suffered unknown catastrophe when trying to fire them up n more recent months. Lack of business and serviceable parts furthered this misfortune. Thus the lacking stars. 4 stars if your needs are more immediate and merely some beer n chips or something processed to cook with a Colman or hot plate.

Usually after a few hours of driving, someone is going to need to take restroom break, right? Well, little did we know, after getting off the main highway, that didn't seem to be possible. "Public restrooms" were closed. There was one small gas station with a huge truck and port-a-potty that my husband used but confirmed would not be hygienic enough for me. You don't know how long we suffered, contemplating pulling over and running through the trees to take of care of business. Although it took us forever to find, Queets Trading Post was the only place with an actual restroom on Google Maps that we could find. As we arrived, the worker greeted us. The store was clean, stocked, had breakfast items- but most importantly, there it was, shining in all its glory: the word "Restrooms"!!! It was clean, it had a message on the wall stating something like, "We keep our restrooms public as a service, so please treat the restroom with respect and keep it clean," and oh did I do just that! I respected that restroom more than any I had in years. Ok well it felt like years. After the beautiful relief, we filled up on gas and went on our merry way. Thank you, Queets Trading Post. You helped us out more than you'll ever know.
