When none of it appeared on the service records, I asked, and was told the work was done in-house. When I arrived to test drive and put a deposit down, they had double-booked us with another couple trying to buy the same car. During the test drive, the salesman admitted the tires hadn't actually been installed yet -- their policy is to put the bare minimum street-legal tire on the car, giving you about 25k miles, unless you pay extra for better ones. There was also considerable confusion about out-of-state registration. One person told me I could transfer my plates (which is correct, and my insurance agent confirmed it). Another told me I would "go to jail" if I got in an accident on the way home. I paid $199 for a pre-purchase inspection at Quality Subaru -- the shop that had serviced this car nine times since 2023. Their records showed none of the advertised work had been done. Their inspection found all four tires worn to 5/32 and scalping, both front axles needing replacement, oil leaking from the front engine cover and both valve covers, transmission fluid leaking from the oil pump cover, a cracked drive belt, and an alignment issue. When the report came back, rather than the person I was emailing with or the person that was there when I test drove it calling, a third employee called to refund my deposit and tell me they knew I'd want my money back and would sell the car for more. My deposit was refunded. But the work described in the listing had not been performed, and I only found out because I paid for an independent inspection. Get a PPI and ask for the service history by VIN.

But it was a rental car, and I immediately discovered there was no spare tire -- just a device to inject fix-a-flat goo and compressed air into the flat. I'd never seen such a device before, so I walked over to Plunske's and asked for their advice. The first person I spoke to dropped what he was doing to help me figure out how to use the gizmo. I returned to my car, reinflated the tire, and drove it to Plunske's. There I encountered a second employee -- Dan, I think -- who was just as friendly and even more helpful. He removed the tire, carefully checked it visually for holes or leaks, immersed it in water to look for bubbles (and found none), replaced it on the car, made sure it was properly reinflated, and sent me on my way. The whole process with Dan took about 30-40 minutes, and he couldn't have been nicer or more thorough. I'm very grateful for the assistance of both people who helped me at Plunske's.

So they finally after enough complaining give me a loaner car which is in horrible unsafe condition to drive for a little over a month . The car needed to be towed and my sister said this is not right from day one and I should have listened because it was nothing but bad from the get go. They go was no longer there they didn't honor my agreement I walked away with less money no car the owner Kevin never once had the decency to talk with me and now I'm also turning to the better business bureau. They charged me to tow the loaner because my purse was stolen I had no key 170.00 and I asked for my other 3 payments of 200 each they claim they have record of 1.Bottom line very sketchy underhanded group of men and I wouldn't even call them to tow a vehicle if I had to . State PD contacted Untouchable for the tow. Inspecting the area I could not see how the truck could be extracted without further damage to my fence. That being said....... I have to give Kudo's to Matthew, the tow "guy" who showed up with a Untouchable flatbed. Matthew inspected the situation and after hooking up the pick up from a couple differnt areas, artfully first pull the vehicle away from the fence then rehook and pull it away from the tree and onto the flatbed. I cannot speak for any other services that Untouchable but as for towing service (specifically Matthew), I had a 5 star experience and would recommend the service.

According to him and my mother, trouble with the payment link turned into a demand for $300 cash to unhook the van roughly a mile into the trip--even though she offered to pay by card over the phone. My stepfather says the driver also threatened to beat him in the parking lot. They took the van to their yard instead of Westerly, then demanded the full $691 to release it. We received conflicting payment instructions, including cash only and an additional 4% to use my card. When I arrived, the owner, Charles, was hostile, screamed, threatened to call the police, and increased the demand by another $100 during the confrontation. I encouraged him to call the police. Charles, your masculinity looked awfully fragile for someone putting that much effort into acting tough. If being questioned about a bill sends you into a screaming fit, you're poorly equipped to deal with customers, never mind run a business. And after all that noise, you retreated into your office. Quite the performance: enough attitude to start the confrontation, apparently not enough composure to finish a conversation. My mother also reported being sworn at and accused of being drunk while trying to arrange payment. Imagine owning a business and still needing someone to explain how to speak to another adult. If squeezing a family already dealing with a breakdown makes you feel accomplished, that is a pathetic definition of success. Having control of somebody's transportation gives you leverage. Mistaking that leverage for strength is embarrassing. What I saw was a petty bully with an inflated opinion of himself fueled by surrounding himself with weaker personalities who enable him to live his life this way and a temper he expected everyone else to accommodate. The extra $100 made it feel as though we were being billed for bruising his ego. Ofcourse it's "cash only" or "Cash App". You would've thought I was trying to get him to rewrite the declaration of Independence blinded folded by requesting a receipt for the payment so I could take it to the dmv as required when making a formal complaint (which I encourage anybody with a similar expirience to do. They might ignore one or two but if enough people have the same experiences and report it eventually they'll have to investigate this guy and I'd bet the entire kingdom that if any official authority were to take even the tiniest of look at this "untouchable towing" they would find all sorts of illegal ways he's running this business so food for thought) My warning: get every price, payment condition, destination, and possible additional charge in writing before this company touches your vehicle. Especially if you cannot afford an expensive argument while your van sits in their yard. This "business" is a band of thieves and crooks who know how to abuse the system and rules to take absolute advantage of you and they will not miss the chance to do so if you aren't careful.

On a recent issue, they spent 3 days finding the cheapest parts for a very expensive repair, then advised me not to do it because the car wasn't worth that much. This is just one example of the exceptional service I've gotten from them over the years. They've always done repairs quickly and honestly. If it doesn't need repair, they'll tell you. If the work can be done without buying a bunch of needless parts, they'll let you know. If the car can run safely without work, e.g., say there's an annoying noise coming from the back end, they'll tell you. I will never take my vehicles to any other shop.
