Brought my car in for a basic oil change. I knew my car needed some work but after bringing it here the guys took their time explaining and showing me things that I needed. I ended up doing a engine flush and radiator flush due to evidence of maintenance that has been over looked on my car. I haven't had the car for a long time so this place helped me make sure these things were taken care of before the winter hits. The guys also does a car wash which they did on my car as well which helped bring out the shine. They offer detailing services and they do a fantastic job. Decent places to sit while your car is being worked out and a large window so that you can see the progress. I would come here again no doubt.

    Oh look! More dirt.
    Dorothy G.

I don't know why I gave this place another chance, but it's nearby and my car was filthy from the storm. After the wash it was about 80% cleaner. The was has 2 touchless bays and 3 DIY. I used to come here with my Golf, and while I have never seen an attendant the touchless usually did a passable job. Then I began noticing that the wash left the bottom of the car dirty, especially lower fenders and wheels. Today when I went there was a touchless wash arch sitting outside the building, a replacement, or just discarded? I bought the $9 silver wash, pulled up and waited; apparently it had to consider how much dirt it had to remove. It engaged and the arch rolled past, doing nothing, no prewash rinse. When it got to the back, it halfheartedly sprayed some water, then went back to the front for another pause. Eventually some soap was sprayed on, but the sprayer ignored the passenger side. Then it rinsed and the blower came on-I could see soap bubbles on the glass. I did a walk around that confirmed what I saw, and didn't. The lower part of my car is as city as when I arrived, the windows and mirrors, spotted and barely touched. A waste of time and money.

Not much of a wheel deal!!!

Fair priced and good work. You'll notice the difference if you tip the staff when they towel off the car, before you get the interior done. Ignore the crappy reviews these people are consistently good, and if not will make you a happy c

Yes for the most part, two locations in Wallingford. Hand dry the car, 38 bucks a month as many time as you like.

Fast and simple - prices are also affordable and they do a great job. There's also a nice man out front that hand dries your car.

Granted, I choose to use synthetic rather than normal and my make/model and mileage may factor in somehow. With that being said I do think it is worth the extra cost to come to Valvoline. The total time to drive behind Citgo into the Valvoline garage, park your car, have them do their thing, and then pull out takes anywhere between 10-20 minutes. The employees here are very efficient and work well together while not sacrificing professionalism and friendliness! The one thing they will for sure up-sell you on is the $40 cabin air filter swap. Just go to the auto parts store around the corner and change it yourself for $10-20 dollars (really easy to do and won't harm your car if you "mess up"). You also never leave your car and don't wait in a room drinking stale coffee while morning trash TV is playing in the background. And they're open Sundays!

Apparently because I have breasts, I don't know anything about my vehicle. The dude who took my information insisted I didn't know what I was talking about when it came to my car year, make, model and engine size. Believe me if I'm paying for a car and for service on said car, I'm going to know everything about my car. I was also clearly not interested in the health of my vehicle because I waited so long to get my oil changed (!). Right, Captain Douche Canoe. Going over by 300 miles was going to put my car in the danger zone. The amount of upselling I had to avoid was ridiculous. I don't want an engine flush, radiator flush, transmission flush, fuel line flush, fuel injector flush...the car has ~34k miles on it. Just change the oil and let me leave. They also didn't reset the perform service indicator light in the message center. That would have been nice. No offers for a free or reduced car wash either. They readjusted my seat settings as well. Never again. This just means the next time I need an oil change, I'll work from home and service my car at Frenchy's on 150 right by my home.

My wife and I both took our cars here today. The oil change was very quick and not too expensive, 24.99 for her and a few bucks more for me because of the extra quart needed for my Jeep. The staff was very friendly. They did recommend a few things that needed to be done but they had no problem when I told them no thanks. Although I did only go in for an oil change, I'm glad they pointed out the other issues. We both got a coupon for a free car wash, which we didn't use because of the rain. He said we had 30 days to use it, so no complaining there. We both will be seeing them again next time around. I would definitely recommend!

I've been coming to them for my periodic emissions testing for many years, starting when they were at their previous location. I decided that when my Nissan pickup truck needed any sort of repairs I'd bring it to them. I called a few days ago to arrange having the brakes serviced on my truck. When I called, I was greeted by a friendly voice of a young woman whe gave me a day to bring it in. On that day, I went to the service window and that young lady greeted me and said she'd give me a call later that day when they could tell me what the cost would be and when it would be completed. Later that day she phoned and told me the amount of the bill and said the job would be completed by end of the day. The price wasn't cheap (I wasn't expecting it to be), but I'm more concerned with quality & value. I told her that I arranged to pick it up the following morning, if that was ok. A little later that day she phoned once again to let me know the work was completed, just for my information. I appreciate that they communicate so well with their customers, and I'm very satisfied with the work they did. I learned just now from the owner's response that I can have my oil & filter changed while I wait, with an appointment made in advance. So I'm upping my review to five stars! Thank you Nelson's Automotive for your reliability, fair prices and good value.

A few weeks ago, my Jeep engine light started to flash on my way back from my son's basketball game. It got the point where my gas pedal was on the floor and I couldn't accelerate at all. I called Computer Tune and Lube and Dan, the owner, told me to drive it straight to their shop. So I did, and he said he'll have his team take a look and give me a call. Gave me a loaner (2010 Toyota corolla, that sounded worse than my Jeep). Told me not to drive it on Monday (day of the blizzard). With a quarter tank of gas and the way it sounded I just drove it home. Within a few hours I got a call from Dan. He explained that "fuel started to leak on my exhaust tank, which caused my catallactic converter, radiator, temp gauge, etc to not work properly and he'll have his guy start tonight if I give the okay. He told me it would be around $3,800 plus tax for everything. I felt EXTREMELY pressured. I told him to let me talk to my husband and I'll give you a call back. He said, "I'm leaving for the day, and so will my guy unless you give me the okay to go ahead. Otherwise, I can't get to working on your car for another week or so." So I did give the go ahead since I needed my Jeep fixed soon with 6 kids and activities and sports going on next week. Fast forward to last week, I picked up my car on Wednesday and paid in full the $4,267.28. The invoice was 2 pages long! Dan even said " you got a lot of life left in that Jeep. My brother pays over $1,300 for his new jeep, so no need to get a new car anytime soon" Well, yeah especially since I just put $4,000 into it. On Saturday, I drove my jeep on the highway it started to flash with the engine light again. Then my temperature gauge went all the way up to "H." And then it went right back down to "C." Thought it was a fluke so drove it home. On my street, I could barely accelerate and it started to smoke. After getting a second opinion, from another mechanic, they told me this is the shops fault. He said "you just paid to have your radiator replaced which is what cools your engine and prevents it from overheating. See if they can take a look at it free of charge since they caused it." On Monday, I went in person to talk to Dan and see if he could resolve this. He told me that it's my "fault I drove it. I would have to bring it back in the shop and he'd look at it and if it's on them, they would fix it otherwise I would pay for the tow and all other costs associated with it." I told him my jeep never overheated in the past and I just got my radiator fixed from your team and now my engine overheats. He says "it's an old car and has a lot of issues." I felt scammed and didn't trust him after that. I contacted the BBB and decided to write this review to warn others, especially women. His shop caused my jeep to overheat and now after $4,000+ of repairs I can't even drive it. It's NEVER overheated before and I just paid for all those parts to be replaced and then my car overheats and he won't even look at it free of charge? Women, moms, beware, this guy takes FULL ADVANTAGE.

My first delt with a repair in relation to a loud noise from what I was explained was a bearing issue in the rear. Along with a new alignment and other services, the repairs were made at a very high cost. There was no noice and the car was in good shape. In a few months, the same exact noise returned. I returned it to Saf T Auto only to discover that the caliper was "frozen" and I needed more repairs that would cost $1,300 +. It was explained that the bearing was not the issue this time around. It was the caliper. I decided that alone should be fixed because I simply could not afford to pay the larger cost. I was assured the caliper replacement would fix the issue with the noise. After the repairs, I picked up my vehicle and drove off and immediately my alert AWD light came on. I returned back to the Saf T Auto where they fixed the alert light. After traveling less than two minutes, the same exact noise that was the issue to begin with returned. I contacted Neil. He said that the bearings will have to be changed after all. I refused to pay for additional services because the part was under warranty by Saf T Auto. Neil concede that it was and explained that it will be fixed at all cost in three more days. What troubled me the most was that the underlined issue of the noise conming from the rear was never repaired after I was assured that the caliper was the issue. And to insinuate that the bearings needed to be changed at an additional cost intially then to confirm that they were under warranty after I refused to pay the cost is severely suspect. No apologies we're given. No "we will repair as soon as possible." I was told it was safe to drive around with damaged bearings. Somehow, I believe that is not an accurate statement. I'd give no stars if I could to reflect this second visit.
