Had a slow leak in my tire and I stopped at my dealership to find out there was a nail in it. They said they couldn't repair it, so they put my spare (doughnut tire) on until I could get back and grab a new tire. Decided to stop at Tire Express to see if they could patch it. Within 15 minutes it was patched and put on my car! Super nice guys also, very friendly. All for less than $30. read more

Tire Express plugged a tire for me that I bought in off the car and charged an outrageous price of over $25.00, mind you they didn't have to take the tire off and put the tire back on the car (it was a loose tire). I will not even consider going there for tires or repairs. I can only imagine what they would charge doing any real work on a car. I made an appointment for 2 tires, installation, and an alignment here because the price was $30 lower than Town Fair ($370 vs $400). When I pulled up, there were 4-5 employees standing inside in a hallway no wider than 6 feet, none of them wearing a mask. I went into expecting to buy a tire. Instead they fixed my old one, saying it could be saved. My head just about exploded. There are still honest people around and they're at Tire Express in North Haven Connecticut. This simple honesty saved me hundreds of dollars. Been a customer here for a few years, never had a problem with their services. However, I'm extremely angry with a recent transaction. A little over a week ago, I got new tires and paid with a personal check. Turns out, the check bounced for security reasons (I've been the victim of identity theft, and it's no joke). Is this a major problem? Yes. Is it 100% my responsibility to make it right and pay the debt? Absolutely. Well here's how that went: Dale (the business owner?) called my home and told my mother about the failed payment and asked when I'd be by to make it right. Fine, that's expected. She informed him that I was out of state for a medical emergency, and that was that. 2 days later, I'm still away and he SHOWS UP to my parents home and bullies my mother into putting the amount on her credit card. Unbelievable. Again, I'm acknowledging that I'm responsible for the check bouncing and would have absolutely taken care of it as soon as I was back in town. But showing up? To a personal residence? On a Sunday, when your business isn't even open? When my mother already told you I wasn't around? Fucking dick move. Like I said, I was a return customer, and would've likely been for life. Now, I won't recommend that old vigilante to a single soul. Just go to Town Fair and pay the same price for faster service. read more

I found this place doing a Google search and asked around if anyone had went here for tires. Come to find out, a friend of mine said he had a positive experience and gets all his tires from this place. I decided to try Tire Express to purchase new tires for my car. I called and asked for prices on several different brand tires. Dale - the person I spoke to on the phone - said he would get all the information for me and call me back. He called back within a few minutes and he told me the prices and the total cost for everything. The people here are great, the service is great and the prices are great. Overall I was extremely happy and a month later no problems! I will be back again in the future when I need tires again. read more

They take advantage of women! Went there off of recommendations from my father, who has had tires replaced several times, and sends people there all of the time. My boyfriend had alignment that was still messed up, my brother as well. The last straw was when i went to have a tire repaired, was told by town fair it would be fine to plug, but town fair does not plug, they only patch and a patch would not work well due to the area the whole was in. At tire express young man came out and said that it could be repaired either with plug or patch and that plug would be best. Long story short, they purposely made the whole larger so that the plug would leak. I dont know why they did not clip the plug at that point and patch it. When I was told that they could not repair it, I was being rushed to order a tire that I had only asked how much it would be. The man tried to rush me by saying it had to be ordered within the next 5 minutes or it wouldn't get there from the warehouse for a few days. Horrible experience. I took my tire home, and my father filled it, and it is not even leaking. read more

Same old upsell garbage. Tires I want are on National backorder. WTF is that supposed to mean? No other explanation. Didn't offer availability date, nothing... BTW, The tires I requested are available in many many many areas. Has to be upsell tactic because I only need 3, have 1 excellent tire on vehicle, not going to throw it away or give it to them so they can resell it as a good used one. Received very poor customer service by an associate named Dale; had to ask him the same question three times before he understood I was interested in a specific brand of tire. Mentioned on the call they are always busy and didn't have time to help. I would not recommend this place based on the poor customer service. I did speak with a different associate prior who was friendly and interested in providing good service so some people may have had a different experience. I have been using Tire Express for many years now. I can count on them having the best prices around. I especially like that the bill is the same when I pay for the service as what I am quoted, every time! I have worked with Dale all these years and have always found him to be friendly and honest. There are times that they are very busy when people are picking up and dropping off cars, and I may have to wait a bit, but it's always less than I have to wait at Town Fair. Worst Auto Repair Shop Scam Artists Ever!!!!!!! Came in for an oil change. Without being asked, they were "KIND" enough to inspect my breaks and suspension. Turns out they were "KIND" enough to come out with estimate of repairs to the tune of about $1000. AMAZING KINDNESS!!! The only thing, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY BRAKES AND SUSPENSION. This is Part 2 of a previously critical review: Dale responded to my bad review and service and apologized and made reparations by switching out the tires. Although I didn't appreciate their 2 screw ups before, Dale has been good with making amends. Everyone makes mistakes and it's how a company responds and resolves issues that defines who they are. I will give Dale and Tire Express another chance because they deserve it. I will make sure in the future that I am clear on the exact work I want done and Dale will make sure that he follows my requests and keeps me informed of any changes to our plan. Dale is a good guy. I'm hoping that the guys in the back will learn from this also. If you're going to give someone bad reviews when you feel they earned it, they you also have to give them a good review when they also earned that. Just be clear what you expect from them, go over the work you want done to make sure both parties are clear, and then proceed. Good advice for all service companies and customers. I took my 2004 mustang to the shop because the battery kept going dead. I was told it was the body control module not going to sleep. So instead of replacing the module it was repaired it. Well battery is still going dead. Towed the car back twice, was told there were more repairs needed. More money needed to fix the car, was told it had nothing to do with the repairs that were already made. My battery still goes dead, now I will have to take the car to a Ford dealer to get fixed. I will take the car back to Tire Express or any other car in my family. I only gave one star because app made me. They should not have any. read more

Ever since this place merged with my old mechanic shop (complete auto repair), the competence dropped significantly. Unless a 'dummy' light is on in your car, or you need tires, do not even waste your time bringing your car here. Had a squeaking noise coming from trunk a few years back, told them...they claimed it was a shock...so they changed the back shock & come to find out that wasn't what the issue was...it was instead a trunk bushing. Brought it there another time because i had an awful odor filling the cabin of my car...they claimed they couldn't smell it but said i needed a serpentine belt....needless to say that wasn't the issue...i ended up having a major issue in my engine which the Ford dealer ended up finding. Took it there another time because my steering was making a noise...again they claimed they couldn't hear it but said i needed a new fly wheel or something of that nature....turned out not to be that and my steering is STILL not right. As a matter of fact i dropped it off a few weeks ago for the same issue and they claimed they couldn't feel OR hear the issue....went to pick up the car and i immediately felt it while driving down rt 5...as does everyone else who drives the car. I can go on and on but you get the point. Never had this issue before with complete auto repair, but over the last 3-4 years, it's gotten crazy....AND these new guys from Tires Express are RUDE! They always seem to think they're right when in actuality they are not. The guys from complete auto repair were never like that. Not sure i'll ever bring my cars back here because either they're not fixed right OR they can never find the issue...which is scary. read more

Dont do business with these people, they are con artists. I wanted to replace 1 tire , wanted it to be the same as my other 3. They switched it on me and gave me my car back with a different tire. Then they wouldnt switch it to what I wanted. Police were involved and I have a positive police report also in my favor. They cant be trusted. Go to town fair tire. Tires were done quick and at a great cost, I was very unhappy my tires were filled to 47 PSI max fill on the tire was 50 but the PSI recommendation for my vehicle is 32. However, 1 week later I had a nail in my tire and they took me right in and ordered a replacement tire under my warranty and put it on within the same day which was great! read more
