This is when the real problems began. It died within a week and we called an made an appointment for Thursday at 5 pm. I called and made sure he was coming because I had to move my schedule around since no one else would be home. At 6pm no one came so I started calling and he does not pick up. He finally picks up at 7 and says he can't do it because he didn't have the right equipment. If that was the case then the professional thing to do would be to let us know that he cannot make it so we don't have to wait on him. He says that he will be here the next day at 4. On the next day I again move my schedule around and wait until 4. Again no one shows and I call him multiple times and he does not respond. I tell my housemate to call and he picks up right away and says that he is on his way and will be here within 30 minutes. Around 6 he does not show up and my housemate calls and he does not pick up. We call the homeowner to let them know what is going on and the technician says he will be here in 5-10 minutes. Which is 2 hours past the time he said he would be. I find this very unprofessional that they did not let us know that they weren't even going to come. And when he showed up not even a single apology and acted like nothing was wrong.

RDL was able to get my home warranty service to give me a brand new Unit at no cost. RDL did the work and installed it as soon as the part came in. I had to endure about a week of upper 90's but it wasn't too bad. They were professional. Very quick and I am very happy with their work. After complaining that their advertising was false as to "FREE" estimates I eventually went ahead and made an appointment for them to come out. Roughly 2-hours later I received the following text message "Thank you Anthony for reaching out! However, Johnson Valley is outside of our service area. Thank you and have a good day." Seriously?? If I don't buy a new system, suddenly I'm outside their service area? I called their number that I found on Facebook, and their own AI assistant CONFIRMED that they DO service that area. I asked to speak to a person; explained the entire situation and then the lady told me that the AI assistant was wrong. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Watch out for these people as all they want to do is upsell people what they do not want or need and failure to agree to a replacement visit will likely end with "we don't service your area" or some other lame excuse. All this did was waste a day and set me back in terms of getting my system fixed. Bad business practices like this ... NOT COOL! Look elsewhere for more honest reputable companies that do not blatantly lie to their prospective customers or falsely advertise free estimates. This is where I should've known the problems were going to start. After about 45 minutes he called back and said that he had to set up his guy at another job site and would come my way afterwards, of course I said this was fine as I was at the unit with the electrician anyway. About an hour later he finally shows up and take a look at the unit and let us know how he will proceed with a quote, stating he had to punch it into a system and it would give him numbers at that point. By 3 PM that day I received a quote for $2700 to clean our 1600 square-foot unit. We asked if there was any discounts available and we agreed on $2400 at that point. Again another red flag is when he attempted to ask for half of the money down (which per the state of California they can only ask for 10% down) so he obliged when I reminded him of the state law and took the $240 deposit. Mind you my husband and I run a plumbing company so I know exactly how other contractors work or how they are supposed to be ran. Work was to be started 6/15 and be completed by 6/18. On 6/15 I met Daniel at the unit to handover the keys so that it would be more convenient for them not to have to wait for me to open up the unit and close it, that way they had full access to whatever they needed to get in and out. He stated they would be spending any word from 8 to 12 hours in the unit per day. This was far from the truth! The first day they were they are probably a total of 4 hours and when he says "crew" it was only him and one other person. Then he noticed that the ladder that was there for the electrician was gone and was irritated and made a side comment "now I'm going to waste my gas to go home and get my ladder". This should have been a red flag number 2. The next day 6/16 the camera system was supposed to be installed and I made him aware that they would be working around each other. This is where it gets extremely bad. Daniel met us at the unit at 7:30 AM so that the electrician could get in, as soon as we got the electrician all set up my husband and I left so that they could get done whatever they needed to. This is where the situation got even worse. We are now the second day in and nothing has gotten done and they literally only had two bucket shop vacs, a leaf blower and no cleaning supplies. Then come to find out from the other tenants that they were only spending about one hour every time they were at the unit and would disappear for 5 to 6 hours at a time. They also reported that Daniel and his employee were constantly in the parking lot smoking marijuana!!!! Highly unprofessional! At this point my husband and I return to the unit in the evening to you pay the camera installer I noticed that the unit is in worse condition than when we left it! Cobwebs still up in the skylights, dust & trash everywhere and none of the rooms had been touched the 2 days they were there! I asked Daniel to be back at the unit in one hour as the camera installer was wrapping up and we had no keys to the unit. After an hour and a half he still did not show up and when I called him to see where he was he stated that the camera installer told him to come back at 4 PM earlier that morning, he then proceeded to ask him why he disregarded my request of being there within an hour and his answer was the same even though he stated when I texted him that he would be there within the hour. After the much frustration I then proceeded to ask him if the work was going to be completed on time as nothing had been done and they only had one more day to work in the unit. He then handed the keys over to my husband and stated that " your wife is coming at me sideways and you need to talk to her about how she speaks to people". I'm sorry if a job is not done and you are messing around and smoking weed in the parking lot I am sure that is grounds for a complaint! So he handed the keys over and says they will not be cleaning the unit anymore and leaves all the trash behind! I then proceeded to ask for my deposit back as nothing was done and there were several witnesses to attest to it. He refused to refund me my deposit of course, should have known that was coming. Needless to say honestly I felt like this was a scam! They take your deposit and then refused to do the work so they don't feel they need to give you a deposit back. Please refer to their yelp review also where they burned another customer for $250. No doubt I will be reporting them to every unit I can! Don't get scammed by this company! They will take your money and leave their trash behind!
