    Pork Katsu Curry Rice
    Jenny A.

This place is so cool and delicious! I really liked how cozy it felt and what a cool duck theme they have going on. The staff was very nice and the food was sooo good. I think it's a little bit expensive though but the quality of the food was good! I got the pork tonkotsu curry and the meat was tender, the curry sauce tasted great and it wasn't salty which is something I've found in the past to be with some curries. Definitely wanna come back here!

MINI KATSUDON AND NOODLES - Cold ramen and mini katsudon

8/22/2026 4 1/2 Stars First time here. Got here on a Saturday, just in time for lunch hour. People were trickling in and the restaurant was filling up quickly! MINI KATSUDON AND NOODLES Got the cold ramen and katsudon combo. The cold ramen was nicely chewy and had a good bounce. They gave a good portion size too. The dipping sauce for the cold ramen was unexpected, I was thinking there would be a lighter sauce as the accompaniment, but the dipping sauce was very vinegary and had a strong soy sauce flavor. It was a thicker sauce too. The dipping sauce has dashi, vinegar, and soy sauce. Katsudon was good size for a mini. Rice was good and done well. The tonkatsu and eggs were tender. However, there was a little bit of crunchy eggshells in my Katsudon. I let a staff member know. SMALL CABBAGE SALAD Served as an appetizer. Light creamy sesame based salad dressing. Crunchy, fresh cabbage salad. AMBIANCE + SEATS Very casual setting. Black wooden chairs and tables. Quite a lot of tables and seats for both small and large groups. They've utilized the space quite well to make sure more tables are able to fit inside. To fit the name and theme of the restaurant, there were many rubber ducks and duck themes around the restaurant. Loud pop music playing, which was distracting and unpleasant. No music should be played that loud. Customers weren't even talking loud enough for any music to cover up. CUSTOMER SERVICE Welcoming staff, attentive and very friendly service all around! PARKING Medium-sized free parking lot. I had no trouble finding parking, but Ducks is shared with other businesses, so it can fill up quickly. The food was good and price was good too. I'm open to returning again and trying other dishes.

If you're in a mood for a simple meal delicious meal at a decent price, Ducks is the way to go. When I was growing up, I would eat udon or soba noodles as a simple meal. As an adult, I would crave it, but sometimes I just didn't have the energy or the ingredients to make the dish or it would be super expensive to eat this at a Japanese restaurant. I was craving something simple on a random weekday night and I saw Ducks come up. I went over and even though it was past dinner time, it still was pretty busy. I decided on cold soba, udon, karage and pork cutlet. Food came out pretty quickly. My favorite was the cold soba (simple and delicious) and the karage (perfect batter and chicken). The cold udon was ok, but I think it would have been better hot. The pork cutlet was also decent. I'm definitely going to come back here. They have a lunch special that I really want to try and other items that looked tasty. I do want to warn though that I don't think that their AC works well (or maybe it doesn't work?), so it was super hot it there. If you get overly hot, definitely recommend picking up on hot days.

Ducks is a really cool izakaya-like hole in the wall with an impossible-to-decide-from menu because it's full of japanese bangers. Once you walk in you get their double AC atmosphere with friend servers that make you feel like a regular at a local spot. Their beer selection is tastefully selected with beers you may not usually see at typically restaurants. Perfect for a chill, fun hangout spot for the night.

Cold Soba Shrimp and Veggie Tempura

This was my first time trying Ducks, and I really enjoyed it! The service was super nice and quick, the restaurant felt warm and cozy, and of course, there were ducks everywhere! I got the shrimp tempura and cold soba. The tempura was perfectly crisp and so delicious. It was also the first time I tried parsley tempura, which was very interesting. I do with the soba had a little more buckwheat flavor, but it was still good. Overall, a great place to try!

It has been awhile since I set foot in ducks. The decor remains the same like a throw back into the 90s. The menu did shift a bit but just chopped down pages of complications. The food was okay and I hate to disclose more because there's not much Japanese restaurant out there anymore. The service was great and attentive.

Authentic cold soba noodle. Sooo yummy and fresh tasting. Katsudon lacked chicken, there were only like 4 pieces but it was cooked AMAZING. The karage chicken was super crispy and juicy. The sauce that came with it made it super tasty. It was an interesting sauce that made it very flavorful. Super nice people, the older ladies working were very accommodating to us. The restaurant was pretty small, maybe 8-9 tables. It was clean but there was one small bathroom in the back that wasn't as clean.

My favorite place to get cold noodles! It's definitely a hole in the wall spot! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Food: honestly everything is really good! They give you a light salad as an appetizer which is really airy and refreshing. The lunch specials are the best for the deals so try to go around that time! For cold noodle options they have ramen, udon, and my personal favorite soba! The portions of the soba are huge and the amount of different kinds of tempura is definitely filling (squid, shrimp, potato, carrot, cilantro). The sauce to dip the cold noodles in are perfectly balanced in flavor and comes with green onions and wasabi as an add on if you want! Atmosphere: cute place with very humble and on brand theme of ducks! They are all over the place even the restroom! Price: price is not bad for the amount of food you get, but would definitely try to go during lunch.

Ducks is located in the same small plaza as Escape Duck (an escape room business and do not believe they are related to this restaurant). I have been wanting to try Ducks for a few years now but never got a chance to try them until last Friday. Since we were in the area, we decided to make a to go order in person. We came in a few minutes before 7 pm and were greeted by an employee behind the counter (actually right as we were able to come in, a nice employee who was outside in front of the entrance opened the door for us). We told her that we wanted to make a to go order so she gave us menus to look over, in which we ended up getting: Ebi Don, $17.95 prior to tax- I decided to get a rice meal and opted for the shrimp tempura meal. This meal came with 3 long pieces of shrimp tempura, served over a bed of rice that has a lightly sweetened soy sauce drizzled over the rice. I really liked this dish and thought it was delicious. I shared one piece of shrimp and rice with my mom and my husband. They also both really liked the food. Veggie Yaki Udon, $14.50 prior to tax- My husband decided to order this dish because he wanted a noodle dish. Please note that this dish is a dry style noodle dish and not a soup udon dish. I thought this noodle dish was tasty and I liked that there were plenty of vegetables in the dish. The sauce used was tasty. My mom also had some and she liked it and so did my husband. ----------------------------------- (Total= $35.78 after tax) Service was friendly and wait time was not too bad, rather reasonable. I ended up using the restroom while I waited and was surprised to see a cute duck soap dispenser in the bathroom (but being that ducks are everywhere, maybe I should not have been surprised). I did enjoy the food and would consider coming back again to try the other entrees.

Beef Don and Karaage Yaki Udon
    Christy Q.

My yakiudon was too saucy. The udon was wet and since there was a puddle of sauce, which explained why the kaarage was not crispy-- batter was sauced up. For a stir-fry noodle dish, I expect it to be dry. The kaarage was overly salty. I had to drink a lot of water and I definitely needed that rice from the rice bowl. The beef don on the other hand, was delish. They didn't use the typical thinly sliced beef, they used chunkier beef, like chuck roast or something like that. I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but I did enjoy the meatier dish! This dish is what I am more used to, it was a bowl of comfort. Decor is cute, with lots of duck decor! Service was great.

What a delicious lunch! Friend and I had never been and have been wanting to try this place, so we finally made it to lunch. The place definitely reminds me of smaller mom and pop shops in the South Bay. We had just had curry, so skipped the lunch special combos and went with the cold noodle and rice, with an extra kaarage. We also opted for the upgrade to so a noodles. Food was delicious; nothing fancy, just good cooking and good ingredients. The chicken was hella crispy and juicy, the noodles just the right texture, and my mini katsudon was so yum. Friend had the mini tempura rice bowl and that was also tasty. Can't wait to go back, and bring some of my own duckies for the restaurant.

    Cold soba

Glad I finally got around to trying Ducks. The service was great, staff was attentive and turn around was swift. I'll give it a 5 but I think a 4.5 would be the most honest rating Food: The fried fish cake was my least favorite dish, it was underwhelming and the fish cake itself was small, I didn't finish it and I wouldn't order it again 1/5. The soba on the other hand was delicous and flavorful, the serving was generous and filling 5/5. My friend liked the curry and gave it a 4/5. Cute duckie decor and plenty of parking. Definitely worth checking out.

    Chicken Karaage

Great service! Took the kids to try Ducks and the free chicken karage with the SGV passport. Huge portions and medium spicy curry. Great place for meat and rice. Comfort food at its best. Will return to try the soups when not so hot outside.

The item we get the most is tonkatsu pork cutlet with egg omelet, rice and curry. The curry is just a sauce, no extra chunks of vegetable like carrot or onion but after trying numerous spots, we really enjoy the flavor and seasoning of the curry. The pork is always juicy and well-friend and the egg adds extra protein and texture. Instead, there are steamed broccoli florets which I like even better. The other item I'm obsessed with lately is the Tomato Wagyu Patty Rice Bowl. White rice is topped with a smallish wagyu hamburg patty of sorts, a tomato "salsa" which is like a chunky tomato sauce. The tomato sauce is addictive and it's great mixed with the rice. My only qualm with this dish is that it could use two patties, or even three to complement the amount of rice. We had a bit of a curry katsu kick and tried the dish from numerous restaurants in the area. I can safely say that Curry Flurry remains at the top of our list.

Recently, I noticed the lines disappeared so we came for an early dinner. The interior is pretty cool. It's kit just tables and chairs but the design element is unique. Some seating are inside a honeycomb shaped booth, some are just in the middle of the dining area. We were seated at a table that resembles a birdcage. There's a lot of wood and warm colors, which makes the ambiance stand out over other ramen places. We ordered a ramen, omurice with katsu, some skewers and popcorn chicken. The spicy ramen was delicious, but there was no soft boiled egg as shown on the menu photo. All I saw was a broken egg white at the bottom of the bowl. 4/5. The omurice was nicely done. The egg was perfectly soft and silky with a nice curry sauce in the side. The katsu that came with it was crispy, hot and tasty. 4.5/5. The popcorn chicken was great. Perfect seasoning and crispy. 5/5. The skewers however, were the low point of our dinner. They did not appear they were cooked fresh. The meats were dry and tough. The scallops were OK but tiny. Chicken was average. The whole order did not satisfy. We also got an Amazing Lemonade and Thai iced tea. The lemonade was a very refreshing drink, and the Thai tea is just like all other places. Our server, unfortunately forgot his name, was excellent. Very personable and great at describing flavors. The friendliness extends to the rest of the staff too. It's a nice place to check out. Note their parking lot is fairly small, and shared with Paris Baguette next door. It's a 4.5, rounded up.
