After being called 70 miles away on an agreed OTD quote, we were denied the quote for no reason, not allowed to meet with the salesperson who offered the quote, and then extremely rudely asked to leave the premises when we asked if we could wait to talk to the salesperson who invited us. After all of this, I get an automated email that talks about how they treat their customers with courtesy and respect. Don't waste your time here. Called Mazda auto service: TWO HOUR WAIT!! Called AAA and they were there in 30 min. He stated the battery was dead, it would only hold a charge enough to get home or to dealer. I barely made it to the dealer. They REFUSED to replace the battery. INSISTED they give it a deep charge while I waited for 2 hours. Drove home and the next morning??? DEAD BATTERY AGAIN! Decided to call the Manager in Concord, they got me in after getting AAA out again! They REPLACED the battery. This is a NEW CAR! Go on reddit and find out it's a KNOWN PROBLEM. Sales and I agreed on an OTD price 41666 on phone. I wanted to have the price written down in email because it would cost me an 1.5h round trip. Sales refused. I double checked with sales the price we agreed on. I grabbed my check and took a Uber to the dealership. I provided S-plan pin, registration of my current Mazda car, went through credit check (not sure why, I don't want financing), all the stuff. Then I was presented an MSRP of 42xxx. I said this was not the price we agreed on. Sales left. Manager (? not sure) came, gave me a price of 41888, told me I could walk away if I don't accept. I walked away. Sales came out and said they could do 41666. I didn't want it any more. I couldn't find my phone when I was about to leave. I returned to look for the phone. I found the phone. They offered the price of 41666 again. I felt so sad and broke out crying. I asked for a lower price 41500. They refused. I left. They texted me that 41500 is ok. I'm on my way to another dealership now. Before this trip, I drove my current Mazda 3 to my office to leave more space for my expectant Miata. Don't go to Dublin Mazda, avoid it at all costs! They are unprofessional and don't respect their clients. I bought a 2019 Honda civic sport hatchback from Dublin Mazda in November. I had a pre-purchase inspection done on the car but nothing wrong was reported at the time. In December I went to a Honda dealership for accessories. They pointed out that the car is missing its front bumper grille from its splash shield, exposing the internal components. Salesman Keith Morita did not mention the issue at the time of purchase. Photos Keith Morita took of the car prove that the grille was missing at the time of purchase. I notified Keith Morita about the issue. He denied knowing anything about it and said someone from the service department is going to reach out to me. No one did. He did not offer me any solutions and it became very hard to reach him despite calling him numerous times. Dublin Mazda went silent and I was worried about further damage/rusting of internal components. Since I was on the road, I had to get the car fixed at a Honda dealership in early January amid this uncertainty. I then emailed the grille hardware cost and labor charges with receipts (more than $1k) to Keith Morita. Keith Morita told me, the manager will reach out. After trying more than fifteen times for several weeks and receiving false hopes, I was finally able to speak to manager Keith (his name is also Keith). He told me I should not have had the car fixed. Manager Keith also emphatically said Keith Morita had asked me to bring the car to Dublin Mazda and they could have gotten it fixed. This is not true. They could have checked call recordings (they monitor calls) and messages between Keith Morita and me to see that Keith Morita did not offer me any solutions. In the end, manager Keith told me they could do nothing about the issue. I hoped to be treated fairly and transparently for someone buying a car for more than $20k. I have been more than accommodating regarding this issue at every step. But the evasive behavior and gaslighting on Dublin Mazda's part have been very unreasonable. Honestly, I felt like the service on the car was okay but for some reason, I felt uneasy and not fully informed about the services from the staff. Although the person was nice, I felt like there was some miscommunication. When I tried calling the office, I could not get hold of anyone. I tried calling several times. This is a review for the parts counter at Dublin Mazda. Came in to buy some obscure parts at the parts counter. Was promptly welcomed and greeted warmly by Miles. I gave him the part numbers I wanted and he had them ordered from an LA dealership. They came in the next day. When I came in to pick them up with my old parts as reference it turns out I had given Miles the wrong part #s. Miles, clearly a saint, apologized to me for MY mistake, quickly found the correct part numbers. he had one of them in stock in Dublin, and directed me to another local Mazda dealership for the remainder, even calling the other dealership personally to put the parts on hold for me while I drove to get them. I had great experiences here up until my last service appointment in July 2022, with reasonable annual maintenance costs around $500. But at my last appointment I was greatly overcharged & price-gouged for the following replacements: front lower control arm, drive belt tensioner, front brake pad + rotor resurface. The maximum end of the range for those replacements is around $1250-1500 for parts and labor, but I paid more than double that ($2624), bringing my overall maintenance costs for my CX-5 to more than $1000 per year (got it with 57.5k miles in mid-2019 and drive less than 10k miles/year). I wish I had gotten a second opinion and not fell for their false sense of urgency ("Car could break down at any moment" - didn't drive any differently at the time). I will be taking my car locally for service now, as that kind of markup is just ridiculous. And for part replacements that are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things (not talking about an alternator or transmission replacement!!). Would recommend you only take your car here for the minimum package and/or with service offers, and go to a local place like Oceanworks Berkeley for regular service and part replacement. I've been coming here to service my car for awhile. I made an appointment to get my Brake rotors and pads replaced. The Service guy gave qoute of $800 for labor! I was supplying the parts rotors and pads. They want to charge $800 for about a 2hr job. Since when is labor rate $400hr? I had my rear rotors and pads changed at end of 2019 at this same dealer. I also supply the parts. They charged me $135hr labor for rear rotors and pads replacement. How did $135hr labor rate went to $800? Even at $200hr it still wont cost more than $500. Warning! Do not take your vehicle or business to Dublin Mazda! There is someone named Jesus Vega that works in the Service department as the Assistant Service Manager - the service he provides is horrendous; he does not belong in a customer facing position at any company as his sole focus is to "make a living" (not serve his customers) as he so kindly pointed out. More Info: Dublin Mazda sends a video of the technician inspecting the owner's vehicle when service is being performed. For my fiancé's situation, the technician clearing stated/demonstrated twice during the video that the suspension was leaking (thus correcting the issue would be covered under the warranty applicable to this situation). Jesus (Mazda rep), however, proceeded to say how it's not actually leaking, but rather seepage, which does not qualify for Mazda to make repairs under the warranty. It's astounding that this guy behind the counter is able to dictate to the customer different facts of what is going on with the serviced vehicle than what the technician who did the actual inspection found and reported to the customer. Facts aside, I proceed to ask Jesus to do what's right and repair the vehicle's issues that were identified by the technician...what came next is the reason I will never go back to Dublin Mazda - Jesus proceeded to explain how the technician didn't know what he was doing/saying (which is more cause for concern of what else could be wrong with the vehicle if true), but rather he (Jesus) looked at it and corrected the analysis (contrary to what the video that was sent to the customer stated). Additionally, when I asked to speak to Jesus' manager, he responded by telling me he is the manager multiple times. I eventually asked for him to bring over whomever he reports to, and which point he continued to tell me that I'm talking to him already and he is the manager. Once I looked at his business card, which read "Assistant Service Manager", I pointed out to Jesus that there would be a "Service Manager" that I would like to speak to since it clearly states he is an assistant - his knee jerk response was to defensively tell me I was denouncing his title...not to acknowledge there is a Manger I could speak to. As Jesus proceed to be stubborn and try and tell me how he could teach me what they need to teach their technician, I informed him it's not my responsibility to be taught how Mazda should be inspecting cars in relation to warranties (in extreme frustration at this point). He proceeded to downplay my frustration, and eventually told me "we are all just trying to make a living here". Well, that's great for Jesus, but the reason I/my fiancé were at Dublin Mazda was to ensure we are able to safely drive my fiancé's Mazda vehicle; that was clearly not his concern. read more

All of their cars has a addon called "Mazda protection package" which is basically door edge guard and wheel lock and they charge $1599 for it. The door edge guard is just the clear plastic U channel which you can get it from Autozone for $5 for 2 pieces and their wheel lock is $75 at most. The total cost is about $100 and they put this Mandatory addon asking for $1599. This is totally a scam. read more

I like my car, but had a bad experience purchasing the car about a year ago. It was my first time buying a car by myself and it was a classic experience of feeling very pressured, rushed, and taken advantage of. I was very specific with the make and color I wanted saying they had it in stock- drove all the way out to Dublin from SF just to get it to find out that it was not actually at their store but rather their sister store in Tracy. They had me test drive another car and did not show me the car I purchased until after I bought it. They also only accept checks and that was a headache. Overall the process took 6/7 hours. When I was in the financing office I continued to ask questions about the maintenance package they were pressuring me to buy, as I did not understand and they were clearly annoyed with me (also the SF dealer where I get it serviced also said this is a weird maintenance package they have never seen before). At one point I said maybe I should not move forward with the purchase and he said his boss would kill him if he did make this sale. Lastly, they sold me a car with some missing parts and I have continued to follow up trying to ask for reimbursement for the parts I had to buy that should have come with the car to no avail. I have pictures showing that the parts were missing when they bought me the car, but before I showed them to the owner he insinuated that I was lying and that it was not possible. He said he would send me check months ago once he saw the pictures (did not notice what was missing because for the first time I saw my car it was dark by that point it had taken so long) but that has still not come. Oh, and they also gave me the least amount for the trade in value of my previous car than other dealers I was considering. In retrospect I should have walked away. Unlike some other dealers at other stores who can make customers feel pressured to make decision quickly, Keith is so patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate the way he makes a customer feel important and respected. When I arrived for my appointment with him, I noticed he already had a paper printed "VIP Tammy" and displayed at the front window of the red CX 5 I was interested in buying. During the test drive, he thoroughly explained me all the safety features and accessories on the car and made sure I had all the information. I am really surprised that he took me to the freeway to demonstrate the cruise control! After then, he honestly offered me different payment options, helped me work out the credit check for the finance option (my multiple income source makes it more complicated for credit check), and allowed me to decide on my own. Do not come here! They are ripping people off! I came here for an oil change for my Mazda earlier this week and while the customer service agents are friendly; they are ripping people off. After my oil change & overall car inspection they told me I needed to get my timing cover gasket repaired which would be a total of $1493. After hearing this, I took my car to another automotive center for a 2nd opinion, and they discovered that nothing was even wrong with my timing cover gasket and that it was actually my power steering oil part that needed to be repaired! I couldn't believe it! I'm so glad I got a 2nd opinion because I would've been paying almost $1500.00 for something that didn't need to be fixed. Another thing, their prices are outrageous, since going with another auto center I've saved over $1200.00. I'm extremely disappointed in Mazda for this and won't be coming back here or recommending. Let's just start with an exceptional experience working with Keith Morita . I inquired about one if there used vehicles and was kindly followed up by a representative from the dealership. Once I confirmed an appointment, I received reminder emails and phone calls. The day of my appointment I received text messages with a photo of the car I was interested in saying it was ready for me to come and see. I was initially amazed at how nice and up to date the dealerships decor was. Mazda has definitely step up there game all around in the recent years. My product specialist, Keith was kind and very approachable. Greets me with hand out, a smile from what I could tell from behind the mask, and a warm welcome. I brought my CX-5 in for service last week, and I was very pleasantly surprised by all the adjustments that they have made for COVID19, and their service is great as usual. When I checked in, Damon took my information and I got a text confirming my number. My husband picked me up, and a few hours later Damon texts me a link to a video that shows a technician going over my car. The video starts with the hood open, my license plate showing, and he goes over different aspects of the car. It then moves onto the bottom of the car after they lift it. Damon then texts me with what needs to be done, cost, what's covered under warranty, etc. The invoice, payment link and my next appointment (I needed my car back so I had to schedule another appointment for the work to be done) was all done over text or online. They speak my language - no phone calls, everything was over text or websites. And he was prompt with responses. If COVID19 is a concern for you, they do a good job keeping things safe here. The only thing that exchanged hands were my keys and the printed invoice at the end. My car was returned to me vacuumed and clean, and I'm not hesitating to bring my car back on Monday for the other items to be repaired. read more

Buying a car during this time is extremely stressful due to the current market and lack of inventory. Dublin Mazda was able to provide us with a positive experience despite the challenges of the time. After spending a large amount of time in researching the perfect car for my sister, we decided on a couple options. We finally ended up purchasing a Mazda due to the efficiency and transparency of Dublin Mazda. I must've gotten on the phone with at least 15 sales reps at different dealerships to try to get a quote on a potential car. Elvis, the sales rep at Dublin Mazda, stood out due to his casual and humorous demeanor. Most importantly, he was able to lock down a price that I was happy with on a car that I was eyeing on. I asked direct questions about the price (and potential catches/markups), and Elvis gladly answered my questions without giving me a hard time. My only complaint during the process is that when the vehicle arrived, I received a call to come take a look, and that the car would not be reserved for me if I don't show up on the same day. I understand where the dealership is coming from based on the market, but it was quite challenging for me to move around my schedule to show up. Upon arrival, I was extremely pleased with the buying process. Elvis did an excellent job showing me the features of the car and walking me through the process. I appreciated the friendliness and warm welcome from the manager Sam. Rose also did a fabulous job with the finance and contract process. When I shared that I needed to rush back to pick up my son from childcare, they made sure I was able to finish paperwork asap and head out. Overall-- I strongly recommend Dublin Mazda without reservations if you're looking an easy car buying process with a team of people whom you will find reliable. read more
