This coffee shop is going to be one of the best coffee shops in DC and definitely one of a kind experience! A group of friends and I went for the soft opening today and can't be more impressed by the quality and the depth and breadth of the coffee they are serving. The location is very centered too, only 7 mins away from the White House and a few blocks away from McPherson Metro. We figured that their beans are primarily from Indonesia and they don't disappoint. Since it was a soft opening, we were able to try different kind of brews and notes. I was mostly impressed by their Ciwangi pour-over coffee since it has a hint of banana and chocolate. No other coffee shops in DC go in that details on the notes. My second favorite was the piccolo. It's a smaller Cappuccino coffee with a one on one ratio of the milk and coffee. It has a strong yet clean coffee taste. Also try their flash-brew Kerinci coffee. Unlike cold brew which most of the time only has one solid flavor, this brew has around 2-3 different unique hints! Also pay attentions to their coffee mugs. Their mugs are really cute and remind you of Yayoi Kusama art works!! Nothing can be more DC than this! Can't wait for this coffee shop to operate in full capacity. Definitely will be a regular customer for an amazing quality coffee experience! read more

A very cute and simple coffee shop. I decided to try here since I read it's the first American location for this Indonesian coffee shop. I went with an iced dark roast pour over. The coffee was definitely strong and not watered down, the flavor was smooth and delicious! I also had a croissant which was really good. The workers were super sweet and helpful in recommending something. The sitting area is pretty small and mostly people doing work on their computers. There's a small couch area where some people sat to chat/hang out. read more

So DELICIOUS! Absolutely the best avocado toast I've ever had and a vanilla latte that puts the rest to shame. A few tables to work from but not a lot of space, sufficient though. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Amazing mocha and lattes! We are from out of town and this was the best in DC. The pumpkin brioche was delicately delicious and the pumpkin surprise inside was a bite into thanksgiving and pumpkin pie. read more

Amazing and friendly service, delicious coffee and fresh tasty croissants. Highly recommend

One of the best coffeeshops in DC! Great ambiance of lively pastel colors with emphasis on Indonesian culture; truly a gem! I personally love the brown latte, with which I usually get oat milk. The seating inside is varied so there's a variety for everyone! read more

One of the best new coffee places in DC! I visited here when Dua first opened and I have been back many times since. The team from Indonesia that opened this is so sweet. Really friendly and clearly are passionate about what they are doing. The iced coffee with cream is delicious. And their regular coffee is amazing also. I've lap had the banana and chocolate dessert and it was great too. They also have a beautiful mural in the store that represents their Indonesian roots merging with modern DC! They also have WiFi and plenty of room to sit and work. Love this place! read more

I really enjoyed the Kopi Kedua. The staff are super kind and welcoming! I'll be back.

I had the iced hazelnut latte (had a little more milk than I typically like but still very good) and a beef empanada, which was tasty! read more

A little overpriced, but nonetheless a nice treat for a Saturtday morning on 15th St. Staff is very friendly and helpful with questions.

GREAT coffee, such a great space to hang out and the owners and staff are so welcoming. We needed a place like this in the area, so tired of all the chains with crappy coffee. read more

Very tasty specialty coffees and drinks you won't find many other places. Cute space. Service is a bit uptight and strict mask enforcement would drop it a star if the coffee weren't so tasty read more

I had some time to kill before dinner with friends and happened upon this little shop. They were closing early due to a holiday when I arrived but graciously let me sit while they finished cleaning up. Owner was lovely, and very cute wood interior complemented by a lining of plants in the back gave a slightly tropical feel to the shop. I ordered an Indonesian tea that was recommended, a fragrant green with vanilla notes that came in beautiful stoneware (handcrafted by an Indonesian potter). Perfect close to a quiet afternoon. Would love to come back sometime. Great place to come and work or meet up with a friend. read more

Came here as a visitor to DC and was hyped because of the high reviews and fun pictures. It was honestly underwhelming. There was a huge party there when we were there & the look of the place is nothing special. I got a brown sugar iced latte less sweet and my husband got a cookies and cream iced blend drink. Mine was way too sweet and his was just mediocre in flavor. Overall, I was disappointed. Just an average coffee shop in my opinion. read more

Cute little café in downtown DC (near Franklin Park). While small with limited seating, it's definitely worth a visit as you can get takeout or attempt to snag one of the outdoor tables. As others have said, the Kopi Kedua is a *must* try. I've had it both iced (perfect for a humid summer DC day) or hot (delicious) and would heartily recommend either option. It is sweet without being cloying, and is basically an Indonesian latte. Would be five stars just for the coffee, but gave four because I had the empanada and it was just ok (their other food options might be better). Great, friendly service and delicious Indonesian specialty coffees, what more can you ask for? read more

My go-to place when I work from home. The Iced Matcha Latte is my favorite but their coffee and hibiscus tea are both great, too! The vibe is nice and relaxing, very zen and neighborhoody. read more

Smooth coffee with no bitter taste. Service was quick even with a large line, you get your drinks asap. I recommend eating the beef patties, a nice change from the regular breakfast sandwiches. read more

Excellent coffee and amazing empanadas! Great service as well. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely outstanding selection. From delicious ciders and coffees, to a mango matcha that converted me to a believer.

I'm always looking for that good cup of coffee to help me survive the work week. I came upon this gem near work, and it really delivered. Super friendly barista explained what a Klavee is and it's so refreshing with its espresso, coconut water, and lemon. I've never had anything like that before and I've had my share of coffee as a coffee addict. Thank you for choosing DC as your 2nd home! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

The kopi kedua is the best iced latte I have ever had this far in my coffee journey. The taste of it is magnificent where it's not too sweet and the coffee flavor is still there. It's milky and so smooth. The iced brown latte is incredible as well. But the my favorite is the kopi kedua read more

This is a place for true coffee connoisseurs run by true connoisseurs! There's a nice selection of specialty and unique blends and everything tastes right. There's some amazing non coffee options too like some of the matcha drinks and the vibes are so positive, so I would still recommend checking them out even if you're not into the coffee! The space is beautifully designed - so clean and warm and ideal for remote work (although I'm not sure what it's like now). Wishing the Dua team all the best during these challenging times! read more

Really good coffee. The barista gave me great suggestions in store to make my coffee even better! They are doing a great job during the pandemic. read more

Alfajores dulce de leche pastry was delicious and coconut-light and crumbly/lightly-sweet. Pischok was okay, too much heavy pastry and not enough chocolate. Mint mocha, hazelnut latte, and Kopi Kedua lattes were great, especially the Kopi Kedua (which I thought was absolutely delicious). The mint mocha was quite light and could've been heavier (just my preference). Hazelnut latte was nice and smooth and creamy. Kopi Kedua was like a lighter version of Vietnamese coffee and was nicely roasted (deeper and more complex than mint mocha). Also, I thought the latte foam here is the best compared to all other latte foams I've had at other places! I usually don't drink lattes, as I am not crazy about their light (in my mind, meaning diluted) roasted taste or the foamy layer; however, the foam here was surprisingly very enjoyable. Light and creamy with perfectly small, excitingly-popping bubbles. If all lattes were like the Kopi Kedua, I would drink lattes more often! read more

Came here because I wanted to go to a local coffee shop close to my job. This was absolutely my favorite cup of Matcha. It was so perfectly made and I wish they had an even larger size! Definitely great to know I can come here often! read more

I had a really fantastic pour over, and there was a great selection of coffees to choose from. The barista was super helpful and gave me a recommendation based on what I liked. While I wish I could have sat inside and enjoyed more time in the shop, they were operating with no indoor seating which was understandable. I was more than happy to sit outside and sip my drink for a while. I would visit again for sure! read more

Nice place and love the people here. They are very nice. They very kindly and quickly handled an initially cranky/grumpy customer. They were out of their matcha and hibiscus cider drink but cold hibiscus tea with no ice was also very good. Halal beef empanadas so adorable and soft and good. It takes some more time to get it warmed up. Iced mint mocha was ok. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop. read more
