DST Coffee is a great little coffee stop with long hours and affordable prices in the heart of Gardnerville. I think for a local coffee shop, DST might have the best prices in the game. Sick of getting ripped off at Starbucks for a crappy cup of $9 coffee? DST is your spot! Three drinks for $16! They also have a small selection of merch and pastries. The barista was super nice and very helpful. She made several recommendations for another guest who asked about their popular drinks and unique choices. She recommended the lavender latte or the matcha! There is a beautiful inside and outdoor space at DST as well, so be sure to put aside some time to sit and enjoy no matter the weather! I'll be back, DST!

Stopped by for a drink on my way to Tahoe. It was the perfect pick me up in the morning. The barista was super friendly and the place is really cute. I ordered a London fog and it was really good, I love earl grey tea. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll for sure stop by and hopefully get the chance to stick around and chill longer, maybe read a book on the couch.

Loved everything about this place. First, my Pumpkin Latte was served in a real cup. Not only did it look good, it tasted even better. The staff was friendly and the place was really cozy with fun and original decor. I wish I had more time to sit and read a book. Best coffee in the Carson Valley and Carson City. Smooth, creamy, dreamy. I had a lavender latte and my children had the kids hot chocolate. No need to go to Reno for a special coffee, Midtown has come to Gardnerville! The lavender latte is the best I've ever had! Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is a great mix of contemporary and vintage. Plenty of parking and great old neighborhoods and park nearby if you want to stroll with your drink. read more

Excellent ambience that really invites you to settle in and relax, get some work or studying done, or just enjoy being social with the numerous people you are bound to see/know. This is a fairly new establishment and I'm sorry I was not first in line on opening day. Third wave coffee has come to Carson Valley and my little town of Minden. They use a roaster out of Reno who is really trying to get the sweetest flavors possible from their beans. The vibe in this coffee shop is super hip and it's right on the main drag. They have a nice offering of baked goods. I did not see any gluten free items but my gluten eating husband really enjoyed his scone. There is plenty of parking as well. Go on down to DST Coffee. This coffee geek couldn't be happier. read more

Growing up in Gardnerville, and coming home for the holidays, I was happy to see a new business and local coffee shop. Unfortunately the service was the opposite of what any cafe should have. The venue has potential and some of the artwork is cool, however the barista was clearly not happy that we were ordering coffee from her. She and the other gentlemen were bickering at each other behind the register and it was really awkward and inappropriate. I've been searching for a great place to get coffee that isn't a big corporation like Starbucks to get coffee because I always make an effort to support local businesses. This is now my favorite place in Gardnerville to get coffee. It has a great atmosphere so you can study, chat with friends, or like me you can enjoy a moment alone. I've had a majority of the things on the menu and everything has always tasted great. The staff is also friendly and always willing to help with a smile. read more

I really like having a locally owned coffee shop. It has a cool vibe. They do a great job with their espresso drinks, serving them in real cups and taking the time to make pretty designs in the foam. I also love the local pastries. The brewed coffee, however, was terrible. It tasted like poorly brewed Folgers. It would also be nice if they played some music. But overall I really like this place. If they improved in those areas I would love it! read more

Very quiet and a nice setting, comfortable and has this indie feel to it. Every time I have been there, one person takes our order and then makes our drinks. The drinks there are wonderful, I adore their English Fog Tea! The only downside to this place is the fact that the drinks are made one by one--this makes service quite slow but other than that, the staff (of one person every 4 hours or so, as far as I'm aware) is very sweet and kind. There is this calming atmospheric about the place which is really nice to be around, that's why it's kind of sad the hours for this place are 6 AM - 6 PM given the fact that I'd rather be here for a long time than a crowded Starbucks. read more

DST Coffee was established in 2017 by two home-grown Gardnerville local kids all grown up.

Jake and Amanda are a brother, sister duo who were raised in the Carson Valley. Both attended the University of Nevada, Reno and studied business. The two always knew they wanted to come back home and impact their hometown somehow.

If you're unhappy with your purchase or experience, it's always best policy to kindly let your barista know and give them a chance to get your order/experience right.
