Great little spot! I had a mango pineapple protein bowl with all the toppings (except chocolate chips) & it was VERY yummy. It was sweet & slightly creamy. First time coming here, great place to go for a little pick me up before or after the gym. Their portions were huge and they have quite an extensive menu. The owners are really friendly. I got the iced Tea that had alternative caffeine in it and a smoothie bowl. Didn't feel jittery after the tea and the smoothie filled me up. The ambience is clean and fresh. I've been to this location twice now. It's pretty convenient to get to right by the WalMart in Carson. The inside looks like they still might be waiting on furniture or decor or maybe are just really trying to enforce social distancing and discourage indoor dining. My first experience was a little rocky - the TV with the menu kept going into sleep mode and the girl working wasn't always aware of it which added on to wait times as people navigated the menu - which is HUGE! They have so many shake and tea options and apparently have some specials based on different days of the week. They seem to keep pretty busy with big orders but the noise level still stays pretty low. The drinks are all healthy and so good ingredients comes at a price. The basic shake is $8 for a normal medium size. The second time I went in was much smoother, the two guys working seemed to keep orders flowing and I had a minimal wait time. The guy ringing me up didn't seem to know the menu quite yet and was still getting used to their system but was nice nonetheless. They do have a punch card system if you become a regular. I hope to come back to this business soon once the place is totally done to see their progress! read more

Me and my husband tried The Mix for the first time and it was great! The entire staff was so friendly and upbeat. Their menu is huge and they have so much to offer, from teas, to coffee, to protein shakes and donuts. They explained their menu thoroughly and tried to get an idea as to what we were looking for. We both got the Smore's protein shake, and I got a pumpkin cheesecake donut. The shakes are great! They don't taste over saturated in sugars. They taste like a well flavored protein shake. Not only is everything totally healthy for you and packed with nutrients but full of flavor. My favorite shakes are Banana Cream , Mint Oreo, and Mangonada. Obsessed is a pretty mild word to use for this place, I honestly don't think I've gone a day without it since they opened (I have problems I know, that's besides the point) everything here is delicious, the protein donuts on Wednesday's, every shake, tea and mug cake I've tried has been amazing. The people! THE PEOPLE! Customer service is where it's AT! The Mix has the most friendly environment, kind, big hearted people here. I've gone to other places around here and have definitely not been treated with the kindness I found with these people. The second you walk in the door you feel like family. They are so knowledgeable about the products they offer and passionate about them too. The inside is so cute already I cannot wait to see what it looks like done, with social distancing it's nice to have the space without tables and chairs blocking your space. Once rona goes away and they have their furniture it's going to be SO CUTE. This place is a great healthy alternative to us every day Starbucks/Dutch bros feens. They even have protein iced (or hot) coffee for my morning visits and I don't leave feeling like I didn't get my coffee fix (just minus the 43g of sugar) I was drinking redbull after redbull and their lifted tea has broke me of that awful habit as well. I could write a novel based off how much I love this place but I think I've covered most of the basics here. In short, go try it. You won't leave disappointed. read more

The employees were very friendly! My husband and I were excited to try out their fun flavored shakes. As far as the shakes go the flavors were great! I ordered a chocolate banana one. I feel like I'm a pretty good judge of the grease-to-fried dough ratio and overall flavor from my early working experience. This place seems pretty darn consistent and I've yet to have anything that wasn't fresh! I do think it's funny when people complain that they went in the afternoon and selection was limited. Do you even know how donut shops work to get all of those sweet treats made? It's overnight "baking" and lots of different things go into getting them filled or iced. Oh yeah, and if they're mostly sold out, that's usually a really good sign...just sayin'. :-)

I was very irritated but said nothing. Today I was in her lane again. I said something about the lack of plowing of snow in the city. She went on to say that I should move to Ca. because I probably loved Newsome. WTH. She doesn't know me or where I'm from. She has no personality, or manners, or professionalism. She is a cancer to an already substandard store. I'm 73 and it's hard enough to get out, but to have to deal with Mimi is a nightmare. I am sure I am not the first to report her. Not good, Smiths.

It's not a rush in-rush out kind of place. I think that is the idea of a good coffee shop. You need to slow down for a minute to pace the day properly. I came in about 10am on a weekday. There were a few patrons in the shop doing some work, and having meetings. I was greeted by the barista and placed my order. My drink was ready in a few minutes and it was perfect. I'm not sure why I havent come in before, I guess I was in a hurry and wasn't paying attention. This will be my new coffee spot in Incline.

The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.
