Drink Coffee Do Stuff is a great alternative to Starbucks down the street, with a creative coffee menu and some really tasty food options! My usual order is the Purple Haze latte, made with house-made lavender vanilla syrup, espresso, and a lavender garnish. I typically order mine with coconut or almond milk, and it's amazing! Their chai lattes are also delicious. They have a great selection of breakfast and snack options, including some healthier choices. I've tried their avocado toast with everything bagel seasoning, which is excellent, and the prosciutto and pistachio toast is another favorite! It's topped with apricot jam, prosciutto, crunchy pistachios, and balsamic glaze. Such a great combination! Their chocolate protein smoothie is also worth trying. It's thick, delicious, and made with almond butter and almond milk. The baristas are awesome! Everyone is super friendly, and many of them remember their regular customers and their drink orders, which is always a nice touch. Indoor seating is pretty limited, with a couple of tables outside facing the parking lot. Not exactly the most scenic patio, but it's nice to have the option to sit outdoors. One thing to keep in mind is that this place gets BUSY! I've been here plenty of times when the line stretches right out into the parking lot. Short version: The coffee is smooth and delicious. Longer version: I bravely tried the Pines Latte. When in Tahoe, right? It was...unique. It has rosemary, sage and thyme syrup. My daughter took a sip, made a face, and said it tastes like licking a pine tree. :) It was a fun out-of-the-ordinary experience, but nothing I'd add to my regular rotation. I went to this coffee shop for the first time this morning with a few friends, and unfortunately the entire experience left all of us extremely put off. From the moment I ordered, the barista was blunt, unfriendly, and gave very little eye contact. I ordered an iced Americano with a splash of nonfat milk, and his only response was, "2%?" I had to ask if he meant that was the only option before he clarified. No apology or explanation, just minimal communication. He also never asked for my name. After hearing another customer's name called, I asked a different barista how I would know when my drink was ready. While she was answering me perfectly fine, he called over from about five feet away, "Well, we're going to call out your exact drink order. Your drink's not ready." I wasn't asking why my drink wasn't ready. I was asking how I would know which was mine. His response was rude and condescending, especially when his lack of communication created the confusion in the first place. My friend then ordered an iced chai and was given a hot one. He made the excuse that he had ridden a motorcycle for an hour and was having trouble hearing. That made very little sense considering he had just heard and inserted himself into my conversation from five feet away, yet apparently couldn't hear my friend standing directly in front of him. If his hearing was genuinely that impaired, taking customer orders and then using it as an excuse for getting them wrong was extremely frustrating. Our drinks were also subpar, service was slow, and the entire experience felt disorganized and poorly managed. Everyone has bad days, but if that was the issue, he probably should have stayed home or worked making drinks rather than taking orders in such a customer-facing position. Otherwise, he may be better suited stocking shelves overnight at Walmart where customer interaction isn't part of the job. We all left genuinely disappointed and with no desire to return. read more

I would go back just for the Salmon Lox , I ordered it on a plain bagel -comes on an everything bagel - it was delicious, flavorful and had the perfect spices with the pickled onions I wish they had more outdoor space in the front, I had my dog with me and had to take my food to go because a kid spilled a green drink everywhere, i noticed they have 3 picnic tables in the back and more parking spaces but I had already packed my food away! I really dig the concept of this coffee shop. It's a whole vibe and exactly what an out-of-towner would want when visiting a local coffee shop. It's located in a nice area with plenty of parking and even has a decent bathroom. It also happens to be near the East Tahoe Trail (one of my favorite lake walks), which is what brought me here. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was fun, but my drink was just okay. Pretty bummed. I gave the summer menu a try and ordered the Pink Velvet Latte--fun name and flavor profile--but it lacked flavor. I ordered mine breve style with half-and-half, and honestly, it just tasted like iced half-and-half. There wasn't even a hint of the raspberry or coconut mentioned in the description. I love lattes and usually order them breve style, but I've found not every coffee shop can balance the trifecta of bold coffee, cream, and flavor. An expensive latte with no flavor is no bueno. That said, I know for next time to ask for a little extra syrup because I really love the vibe and the convenient location. I'll definitely be back. I really like the espresso roast they use for their drinks. My usual order is a vanilla latte. Just sweet enough, but not too sweet. I like the small, local vibe of this shop. It's not a rush in-rush out kind of place. I think that is the idea of a good coffee shop. You need to slow down for a minute to pace the day properly. I came in about 10am on a weekday. There were a few patrons in the shop doing some work, and having meetings. I was greeted by the barista and placed my order. My drink was ready in a few minutes and it was perfect. One of the best coffee shops on the North Shore. I love their iced dark mocha, their take on a psl, 'Brown sugar and spice latte' - and their rosemary 'Pines' latte. I haven't reordered the Pines latte but I can't stop thinking about it. Its almost a savory latte that tastes like Thanksgiving. I would get again when feeling like a unique latte. The mocha was excellent. And the brown sugar and spice latte absolutely hits the spot for a mature version of Starbucks' pumpkin spice latte. Also love their everything bagels with cream cheese. Massive, locally made, and doctored cream cheese makes it very filling. Lines can be crazy during peak tourist season. Labor day weekend has the line out the door. They have great smooth espresso. Very cute spot next to the beach. The chair lift seat in the front is super fun and their merch is so so so cute! Will def have to comeback another time when when kitchen is open to try more items. Every time I'm in Tahoe I come here. Usually several times a trip. It's the most perfect place to get coffee. The staff is friendly, the coffee is delicious, and they have some great signature lattes that are worth trying ! Their chai is not my favorite (it's a little too sweet for my taste) but the rest of their lineup is stellar. We even bought their beans last time we were up there and they are just as delicious brewed at home. Only thing I'd say is don't come here in a hurry. I was in there with a friend on 9/23 in the morning. The three baristas had their friends in there at the counter for over 20 minutes while they let the line back up. It took FOREVER to get our drinks while the male barista (some short guy with a beard) working the counter and another blonde with bangs sat there gossiping with their friends. I was shocked. We walked inside of the cafe and the line was very long. The barista at the front was not working fast enough to control the line of people outside of the door. The barista also taking our order switched out with a different barista halfway through taking our order and didn't ask us to pay. We had to remind them that we still needed to pay. Went on a lunch run to pick up some pizzas near by and decided we needed some coffee. This was the closest cafe next to us so we decided to try it out. We got the seasonal drinks which was the maple bourbon and peppermint mocha latte. The maple bourbon was great. We tried the syrup beforehand cause we were a bit skeptical on how it would taste with bourbon. The bourbon and maple flavor ended up being really light. The peppermint mocha was like any other peppermint mocha. It tasted nice as well. The shop was nice and cozy. It was snowing when we went too so the feel of everything was great! Service was excellent as well. We were concerned about the bourbon flavor being too strong so the staff let us try the syrup and gave us advice on the drink. Dropped by here on the way out of town (I mean literally, on our way from the AirBNB to Reno Airport) to grab an espresso for dine in and a cappuccino for the road. I was not disappointed by either drink. I chatted the barista briefly about run times and ratios, as well as the roast, and I found the espresso to be a little sharp while hot, but mellower as it cooled, to a nice rounded balance between sweet and baker's chocolate towards the end. A nice cup. Moving on to the cappa in the car, I tasted more of that chocolate flavor, made very tasty by the milk and some Splenda added for sweetness. A very nice drink as well. This place is right across the street from Raley's grocery, which, if you're staying here, is the place to go for groceries; I'll address that in a different review, but suffice it to say, Drink Coffee Do Stuff is well located in the Incline Village area with other local businesses to help get you what you need. read more

Great coffee stop at the Incline Village location after Snowshoeing. Plenty of parking and although it seemed small due to so many people, it actually ran quite efficiently. There were 9 in my group and we all got our drinks pretty quickly. The is a decent amount of seating inside, but it was snowing so a few of us sat outside.
