The ordering experience is in person at the register and then your treats get freshly made right there in front of you. The young lady who helped us was great and super quick. All were served warm and the frosting and toppings go on fresh so they are soft and creamy when you're ready to eat. I told her that we had been to the other store a few times, but this was our first visit to this store. She told us that "this is where the magic happens." this is the location where they make the chocolates and candy, and then send it on to the other store. It has everything that the other store has, chocolates, taffy, assorted candies, including hard candies, peanut brittle, the works. They have a large selection of loose chocolate in bins, so you can get a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. It's charged by the pound. My brother got some chocolates for both him. And his wife back home, and he also got another bag of the jalapeño brittle. I'm the one that "turned him on" to it, and he's gotten to like it as well. I also got some of the chocolates, and I picked up two bags of the jalapeño brittle, and because I got two bags, because of a special they were running I also got a complementary bag of caramel corn. I hear it's very good stuff like everything they have here, but because I had so much candy already, the caramel corn ended up being a gift. The price is for everything was reasonable, based on the high-quality of their candy, and they do a military/veterans discount. Both of their stores are great. No one updated the online ordering system, so after driving twenty minutes to pick up a cone someone bought me as a takeout order, I arrived at an empty store, during what are normal business hours. Called to ask what was up and got voicemail. No one has returned the call several hours later. When someone finally picked up at the store, rather than apologize, he told me "well, your order is probably here, so come on in". Updating here: My friend said they ordered the takeout order online, and there was no "Special Hours" posted this morning - Handel's took the order because they didn't update their online availability. It appears they updated the hours listed here this afternoon. We all make mistakes, and Reno store really stepped up and made my day.
