It did not seem like there was any syrup in it, it was a little bitter. It also tasted like the roast was burnt. It wasn't terrible, but not the best or even on average of what I am used to getting. I'm a big fan of Tahoe Bagel, so that's the bar I tend to compare against. For coffee, I ordered the Oh Goodness Latte ($7.25) (honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and oat milk), and it was very good. This coffee place has always been one that we've seen whenever we've driven out of town to go to SoCal and always said "we need to check this place out someday". Super glad that we finally did, I got a peppermint latte and the wife got a toffee latte. They even have locally made ice cream and the kids enjoyed chocolate brownie, and cookies and cream. The lattes were both great flavored and really well made with beans brewed from Old World Coffee (Reno) beans. Which is our favorite roaster in the area. Honestly with our travels out of state and internationally, we found that Old World has the best roasted beans around. There's plenty of space in the main part of the coffee shop and a side room with a community table and even an area for kids to play and read books. I wish we had a good coffee place like this in the Sparks area. This will definitely be a staple when we're in town.

And she explained they were short staffed due to the snow and some people not making it to work. I appreciated that and updated my review to 5 stars. The drink came fast for being short staffed and the food came shortly after warmed up. The snow was cleared away enough to be able to get to the door easily and able to park in the lot.
