I LOVE Human Bean! They have so many wonderful options to choose from, and I love stopping here on my frequent visits to Carson Valley from Reno. Last time, I saw a signboard in the drive-thru advertising quiches, which I'd never realized they sold! I ordered the tomato feta version, and it was delectable. They heated it up for me, and it made for a satisfying lunch along with my iced americano. The staff here are always friendly, and my drinks have never disappointed. I think some people really just like to complain about every little thing... Me? I'm a mug half-full kinda gal. If you're unhappy with your purchase or experience, it's always best policy to kindly let your barista know and give them a chance to get your order/experience right. I only order regular coffee, nothing fancy, and I've been happy with the service. I'd say I've visited at least two dozen times. Their menu isn't large but more than enough for what I want in a coffee joint. They always give my dog whipped cream. The only complaint I have is the location is off 395. It's kind of a hassle to head west/north after you get your coffee, so I typically drive out the back way to County road. Disappointed, this will be my third time at this facility and disappointed each time. My wife and I were on a coffee date. I ordered their Cold Brew, trying again for the third time hoping it would be good. Little to no flavor and looked like tea water. I even drove back and showed them hoping for a good cold brew. My daughter saw an advertisement for The Human Bean Happy Hour special for the month of January. We decided to give this place a try since it is a newer establishment. We normally dont frequent coffee places but Omg, they rock! We have been back about 6 times this month. We have only been here in the evening but I got to say they are always so friendly. We have been served by Fiona and Isabella. There is a new girl training, Sydney and she flashed a smile while making drinks. One time Fiona was working alone with 4 cars in the drive up. She still had a great attitude and until I got to the window, paid and watched her hopping, I had to then ask if she was working alone because you think she would have been stressed out but no, still friendly and sweet and we hardly had to wait for our drinks. We have gotten Isabella and we love her too. What a friendly girl. She also welcomes us with a positive attitude and a smile. We asked her for suggestions with their sugar free options and we haven't been disappointed. We will definitely be repeat customers! read more

I stopped by after a ride on my motorcycle. The coffee was good but 4.25 for a small is high. Also only one place to sit which was occupied. You need to add some outside seating. So I sat on the curb where I parked my motorcycle. When I was finished with my coffee I could not find a trash can? I asked the gal at the window she said it is against health code? WTF I had no where to deposit my empty cup? Her response was you can put in a trash can next store at Sonic? I had to walk though the land scape to get to the trash can. This is unexceptionable so I will not return to the location. ADD A TRASH otherwise you will find your cups on the ground outside all over the small parking lot! Lame read more

Pretty good, way better than Starbucks but I would say on par with Coffee on Main. Just depends on which location is more convenient for a quick latte. If you are looking for latte art...then you have to head over to DST Coffee also on 395. Otherwise just a typical quick $5 latte (not any cheaper than Starbucks). read more

Customer service at this location is awful. The girls that were working were poor communicators. They seemed distracted or as if they were trying to multitask and not doing that very well. We had to repeat our order multiple times just to get up to the window and have them question our order again, and had no clue what we had asked for originally. Every question my husband asked was followed with attitude. Disappointed! read more

I thought I would give this shop another try but the coffee latte once again tasted like hot steamed milk without the coffee, this time I even asked for an extra shot. This location is super slow. I work about 2 minutes away and during my 15 minute break there is no way! The ladies are nice but don't start your order until you are at the window. It takes them nearly 20 minutes to get a couple drinks out. read more

I really like this place, the ease of ordering, choice of drinks, taste, etc. Only problem is these girls aren't consistent on how drinks are made. Ingredients left out, not made to how I ordered. Tasteless, I keep giving it a try never had a good drink there things are the beans chocolate covered that come with drink.

I come to this Human Bean every morning like my life depends on it. Kate and Brooklyn are so amazing and I don't know what I would do without them in the morning! I could be having the worst morning and when I get there my day instantly turns around. They know my drink and always greet me by my first name! It's freakin awesome! I pulled into Sonic drive through but they were closed so I drove up to Human Bean. It was my first time ever at Human Bean, and I needed breakfast. I ordered a bacon quiche and loved it! The price wasn't too different from what I normally get from Sonic but the quality was so much better. I recommend this location. read more

On our way down from South Lake Tahoe, ocassionally we will come down Kingsbury Grade and we stop at The Human Bean in Minden. The drinks and food are great and the staff is wonderful. Stop there if you want a great cup of coffee or tea and a muffin or cookie. Great place!! read more
