I have been customer for over 10 years. Up to this point the customer service and the coffee have been excellent. Currently they have send me a double order and are prepared today to sent me yet another order. They do not answer their emails or their phone. No idea what is going on but endless supplies of 5 pound bags of coffee every few weeks is not what I want. I will cancel my subscription, membership and never order again. (I'd burn their shirt as well but it's a pretty nice t-shirt). My advice is to never order anything from them. Perhaps they will get customer service straightened out but as of the last two months it is a nightmare. New- I sent 19 emails with the exact same information-a notice showing a new shipment of coffee mirroring the order I received two weeks ago and asking them to cancel- and this Yelp review. They contacted me via email assuring me the order was cancelled, when my next delivery was due, and thanking me for my years of service. My guess is a negative Yelp review impacts them. I like their coffee. I like the fact some of the money goes to eye cancer research. But beware, you are on your own to handle subscriptions and shipments. And because they answered my emails after multiple weeks of wrestling with this I doubled their star review- from one to a two.,,,,,,,,, For reasons known only to me I am changing my review from 2 star to 5 star. I've had Blind Dog when we first moved here at a local breakfast shop.. and back then was not an expert at coffee to say the least- but do remember how smooth the coffee was.. The owner, Julia, welcomed us in and served right away their two selections of cold brew, we Loved it. I personally love cold brew and nitro brews. The coffee comes in 12oz/2lb/5lb bags. We bought their winter, Sumatra, and Nevada black blends. Their cold brew new releases come in 12oz cans and will be avaliable late January, she said. The property is pretty big, but the sales floor is small. So I would recommend making an appointment so you don't have to wait so long, and also to get the personal service needed in making good decisions. We are coffee lovers. We settle for one a day or more when the mood hits! When we first moved here, I looked for a good local coffee. We tried Nevada Black! Wow!! An amazing dark roast with a wonderful flavor! The beans were fresh, and organic. We try a lot of coffees, but we never stray from having some fresh Nevada Black on hand. Next we tried Tanners Breakfast blend. A nice light cup of coffee. Organic as well. (We are still partial to Nevada Black) The winter blend is very very nice. I really feel they chose this blend perfectly! It is a beautiful blend and I do love a cup on a cold or snowy day! We bought some whole bean (always love to grind our own) French Roast. While I think I ordered Death Valley blend...maybe I didn't. Have not tried that yet. But we can't wait! Blind dog has a coffee subscription... I think we so need to try this! A subscription is a great way to be able try all the great coffees that Blind dog has to offer! I'll still always have Nevada Black on hand We appreciate that the coffees are Organic! And we like that the roasters are local. I have called them to ask a couple questions and they have been amazingly kind and helpful! I love this small, locally owned coffee place. Great place to meet up with some friends we hadn't seen for ages. Coffee is excellent, they roast it all themselves! They do offer some breakfast items but we didn't get a chance to try any, they looked amazing! My K-cup dispenser (not sure if I can say Keurig without paying royalties) is getting tired of brewing Blind Dog's Nevada Black. Since I tried this coffee about 3 months back, I have had the throw out lesser coffees awaiting their turn for brewing. Nevada Black is a strong, bold, Italian (Nevadan) Roast. I love coffee with a big flavor and this is my kind of coffee. Tanner's blend is pretty darn good too if you are a smooth, full flavor, breakfast blend drinker. There is a coffee for every taste here. Sourced from all of the major regions around the globe and roasted locally. Awesome job! We were in Gardnerville and wanted to get a quick cup of coffee, as it's the hip thing to do. Coffee on Main and a few others were closed for the day, but we found Blind Dog on our mobile googly searches, and decided to check it out. We're glad we did, but like other reviewers have said - it's not a coffee shop; it's their roasting warehouse. Didn't stop us. There are a few reasons why we totally fell in love with Blind Dog coffee despite not getting our instant in-our-hands coffee-to-sip fix that day. First, it's a family thing. We were greeted by the owner's daughter-in-law (I totally forgot your name, so if you're reading this review, I apologize!), who works with the business. She was super friendly, and gave us the rundown of the history behind the owner's inspirational story, and how they also give to children's cancer charity (say what?!?). I know the locals were sad to see them move from Reno, but they seemed to find a sweet deal where they set up there in little ol' Gardnerville surrounded by the beauty that is Carson Valley. Second, the friendliness that was mentioned above. You can get a feeling for when people just want to sell you something and shuffle you out the door, or not sell you anything and just tell you they're closed. This was NOT one of those places. We didn't get to meet the owner, but we'll have to stop by to say hi to him next time we're in town. Third, the flavor. We live in the heart of Texas, where there are TONS of artisan roasters popping out of the woodwork every week, it seems. So, we have a pretty good choice of places from where to get our coffee when we're home, and we're pretty picky with the bags we buy to brew at home. We bought the Tanner's House blend, and it has such a unique flavor and a smoothness that we now order bags from Blind Dog. I know, that whole "Go Local" thing is important, but being a native of Nevada, it's a legit support of local small business. Finally, eye-catching souvenir. I got one of their gray shirts with the green dog head logo on the front and back. They said the green shirt is the popular one, but I don't look as good in green. I don't mention souvenir shirts much, because a t-shirt's just a t-shirt. But this one has gotten people talking. "Hey, cool shirt!", they say. I say, "Yeah, but you need to try the COFFEE!" How many coffee t-shirts do you have in your collection that get people talking to you? "Nice Starbu..." Um... not. So, in summary: friendly people, great company, top quality product, in a beautiful valley, catchy branding logo on a t-shirt. But above all, pawsome coffee! read more

They have their coffee in a number 1 coffee shop and sells package coffee at Raleys ,Whole Foods and others. The product tastes great service is great. We were sorry to see the retail location in Gardnerville close down, but we still enjoy their coffee. Now we get it at their roasting facility on Short Lane. Smells great, tastes better. I'm not much of a black coffee drinker because I like all of the sweet creamers and such. But their coffee is so smooth I like it without all the "fixins'". Very nice people! read more
