So satisfying in the snowy weather. Staff was friendly and very helpful! Also, restrooms are kept very clean. Parking seems plentiful, especially since it's not downtown, you're not fighting for parking. Highly recommend!

A few people on the patio, but otherwise fairly slow. I was pleasantly surprised by their pastry selection. Many great choices! We settled on the Thai chicken wrap, an iced coffee, some yuzu beignets, and a yogurt parfait. The service was iffy. The people were nice, but the gentleman taking our order had to clarify my wife's drink twice, even though it was a quite simple order of iced coffee with cream. It seemed like maybe he wasn't really listening. For close to $15, I was expecting the Thai chicken wrap to be a decent portion filled with protein. I was a bit disappointed to have mostly tortilla and lettuce. The flavor was good, but not such a great portion. The beignets were great, can't be beat. Perfectly tart from the yuzu inside. The yogurt parfait was well-priced, and I felt the portion was good. Overall, a cute place to grab coffee and pastries, but I would probably avoid their lunch food in the future. We enjoyed the patio space, and I felt the vibes were good. Cheers!

The shop was empty & we got to chat with the staff, played chess, ate our sandwiches and drank our coffees. Pros: - lots of parking - lots of small vendor gems & plants - great food, drinks, & service Must get: - Whole Garden Sandwich w/ Turkey - Maui Wowie was my choice. It kind of felt like we were in Hawaii but there's snow outside the window.. haha - lemonade w/ matcha foam was good! (Doesn't compare to the Bay buttt for Tahoe? It's solid!)

First, this is a coffee and Kava lounge. I don't know much about Kava, so I can only speak to the coffee. They do also have some food, but I am not sure how that works since there was only a single employee when we visited. Maybe only certain hours? Maybe it just takes some time? Not sure, we skipped food on this visit. We ordered one of their signature matcha drinks and a cold brew. The single employee was friendly and doing the best she could, but it got quite busy and I could tell she was struggling to keep up. The prices at the register were $0.25-$0.75 higher than what was listed on the menu board. Always a bit annoying... The matcha was good, the foam texture is very cool, however the cup was more ice than beverage. The cold brew was fine, nothing special but still tasty. I liked the vibes a lot when I walked in here. It's filled with plants and natural light, but then I looked around a bit more and the space just felt messy. There was stuff everywhere, boxes laying on the ground, and generally just a lot of clutter in the space. Overall, I think there are better coffee spots in South Lake Tahoe. If you're looking for Kava, give this place a go, but for coffee I would steer you somewhere else.

I'm a huge fan of Coffeebar in general, so when I saw a location I had never known about or been to, I threw it straight into the map and headed over around 1 PM. It took me 2-3 laps around the block to realize this place was tucked in an alleyway. It's a true hidden gem. I almost gave up when I couldn't find it and the map directions didn't make much sense. This location is a small shop with only a little bit of seating indoors and a few tables outdoors. This is primarily the roasters location, so it's a great place to enjoy the freshest of coffee but also a great place to purchase beans. They had a very large selection of beans for purchase. They still offer a decent menu and a few snacks, though much smaller than the other location. My wife enjoyed a matcha and I enjoyed one of the exclusive roastery blends on drip. Both drinks were very good. The quality of the drip coffee was superior. I want to visit again and try a coffee flight. That's something I've always wanted to do. Overall, friendly staff, delicious coffee, and even though it's hard to find, this hidden gem is well worth the stop. Cheers!

Typical Menu but the employees make it feel special! I was encouraged to get the dirty chai and I was elated with it. Creamy and flavorful. The perfect sipping temperature. Currently they have send me a double order and are prepared today to sent me yet another order. They do not answer their emails or their phone. No idea what is going on but endless supplies of 5 pound bags of coffee every few weeks is not what I want. I will cancel my subscription, membership and never order again. (I'd burn their shirt as well but it's a pretty nice t-shirt). My advice is to never order anything from them. Perhaps they will get customer service straightened out but as of the last two months it is a nightmare. New- I sent 19 emails with the exact same information-a notice showing a new shipment of coffee mirroring the order I received two weeks ago and asking them to cancel- and this Yelp review. They contacted me via email assuring me the order was cancelled, when my next delivery was due, and thanking me for my years of service. My guess is a negative Yelp review impacts them. I like their coffee. I like the fact some of the money goes to eye cancer research. But beware, you are on your own to handle subscriptions and shipments. And because they answered my emails after multiple weeks of wrestling with this I doubled their star review- from one to a two.,,,,,,,,, For reasons known only to me I am changing my review from 2 star to 5 star. These are nice people in the midst of a very stressful time.

We walked up to the window and were greeted nicely by 2 staff members.. they explained their seasonal drink and answered any questions we had..they were both so nice. I got a warm chai with regular milk. Temp was good but it did lack flavor. I could barely taste anything like the Chai or cinnamon. My fiancee got their seasonal drink. It was a spin on Dubai chocolate but made with white chocolate. My fiancee LOVED it! I tried it too and it was pretty good. Im just happy she liked it. Cute place with good vibes and friendly staff. We will be coming back and I will be trying the chai again.

It would not be out of place in a three-Michelin-star dining room. He roasts every batch himself over a wood fire, feeding a beautiful old roaster with logs he chops by hand. His espresso blends are composed with a level of precision that feels almost synesthetic. Ask him what he is aiming for and he will describe the roast in shapes: how wide the base should be, whether it tapers or flares, how many sides the finished polygon has. I have stood there listening, fascinated, with no real idea what he is talking about, then tasted the cup and understood anyway. Important to know: this is not a coffee shop. There is no barista counter. It is a modest storefront and warehouse, and if you stop by you will likely see Tim at the roaster, stoking the fire. The aroma is arresting from the street. That wood fire imparts a signature note that sets his coffee apart. It does not turn smoky in the jerky sense. It reads as a gentle campfire thread running through the cup, adding warmth and dimension without heaviness. Since moving away from Reno I miss these beans enough that I cave and pay the shipping. If you order Priority Mail, the bags arrive right in the early sweet spot of their drinkability window, perfect for dialing in extraction. If you know your way around a grinder and an espresso machine, get these beans. Tim Curry is an amazing craftsman making world-class coffee, one hand-roasted batch at a time.
