I am so incredibly bummed that I do not have a Clyde's near me. If I lived nearby I would be here every day. We started our mornings with Clyde's and that bagel place next door. Wonderful combo, I cannot recommend these businesses enough. Starting with the staff, they were all super friendly. I saw nothing but smiles the entire time, and they were getting through that line with some serious speed! The atmosphere was lively, they had some cute merch, and the outdoors was a nice place to sit and enjoy. I got my go to drink, an oat milk lavender latte. Everything tasted like quality, but the most impressive part was that they got the perfect amount of lavender flavor in it. Enough to be able to taste it, but not overwhelming or underwhelming either. That coffee was great. I also got a breakfast croissant here too, and that was not great at all. The other pastries all are much better from what I saw/ our group had. So while the croissant might not have been the best, every single one of our drinks was a hit. We all agreed that any time any of us visit Tahoe, Clyde's is a must stop. read more

I have apparently been sleeping on Kingsbury Grade! Clyde's is a killer coffee find just off the beaten path near Stateline, NV. Stopping into Clyde's transports you to a cozy winter lodge, yet still offers a beautiful deck space for the warm Tahoe days. The staff was very kind, answering any questions we had, and drinks were served up quickly. The pastries here looked absolutely insane! It took everything I had to pass up on them- but next time, I have already decided I am getting the apple streusel. The drinks are a bit pricey here, but the portions are large. Most iced/blended drinks are around $7.50, but they are 16-oz servings. The Green Monkey (blended matcha, almond milk, and banana) was so creamy and sweet, and delicious. The smoothies are soft serve-based and offer a perfect sweetness level while still being fresh from the fruit and creamy like a milkshake. I also enjoyed a double shot to sample their espresso game- very tasty stuff. They have lots of merch for sale, including their coffee varieties, which I thought were priced well. I will be back to Clyde's Coffee Roasting. It may even be my new favorite South Lake Tahoe coffee house, even if it means I have to drive out of the way a few minutes. I got some caramel latte, it was part of their specialty menu. It tasted like a standard latte I could have gotten anywhere else. Didn't taste like anything special. What WAS good were their pastries. Their plain croissant was flaky and buttery as a croissant should be and I also tried their strawberry pop tart which was also good. Every customer has to ask what each item is, which slows the line way down -- especially on Sundays when it's packed. Add some simple labels and I bet that monster Sunday line moves 25% faster.
