My review was directed to the Dryer Vent cleaning company, not the sister company related to window cleaning. I already deleted the review related to the window cleaning company. As far as the Dryer Vent cleaning company, my review was against their cancellation policy in which if someone cancels 3 days or before the appointment, you have to send a $45 check. I would ask the owner if this is true or not. And as the fact that I live in Texas, yes I do, but the service was for a condo that I own in West Hollywood. read more

I personally have never had my dryer vents cleaned and it was recommended by a family member that I call to get them cleaned. So I go onto Yelp and find your company, I called you this morning and you were very unhelpful. I asked why there was an additional charge for a double stack and you just told me $25. When I explained I would move them finally you said ok then I won't charge the additional money. I asked about the coupon and you said very coldly to print it out and give it to the technician.... Ok.... Finally I asked what the difference between your company and other companies that provide a similar service... Honestly because I have no experience in this area. Just had a great service experience with this company! Called last week to schedule with Joe on the phone. He was very polite and informative, and their price for Dryer Vent cleaning was less or at par with other places I called. He offered me a window from 8-9 this morning, and Jose showed up promptly at 8:00 am. They also confirmed with an email yesterday. Jose was very kind and professional. These guys are professional, courteous, and neat. They did a good job cleaning out our dryer vent, and now our dryer works as good as new. At $129, the price is reasonable--cheaper than buying a new dryer. It took probably less than 30 minutes. We also had them replace our flimsy foil connector tube with a metal one. They are VERY conscientious. In fact, when they are done, they call their boss and he personally asks you if you are satisfied with their work. For Christmas, I got the joy of meeting the inlaws. Yay. Well, I got down here in L.A. a couple of days ago and found out that the neighbor had a house fire just earlier in the day. Apparently, it was due to the dryer vent. Yeah, I know, what the heck? So being semi-paranoid, the inlaws had the Dryer Vent Cleaning 911 drop by to clean out their vent. Learn from other people's mistakes! As it turns out, they were ripe for a fire themselves. The service man was completely professional in his work. He went over what he was going to do before it was done. Lots of vacuuming, blowing, and it looks like they snaked the pipe tubing behind the dryer. Originally, this was to prevent a fire. The inlaws were surprised that it helped fix their dryer issue (it wasn't drying well anymore.) Joe and his team did an amazing job of cleaning our dryer vent at a great price: $130. I called another place around the area, and they gave me a quote of $199 with a bunch of stipulations. Ouch. No, thank you. Joe & Team also sent a couple of emails to remind us the date and time of our appointment, which is a huge plus, given that I'm a scatterbrain. Anyway, our guy, Mark, showed up on time and started work immediately. It took him about an hour and a half to finish the job, and that was only because he had trouble finding the opening of the vent. Once he finished, he got Joe on the line to confirm with us that the job was done properly and marked us down for an annual dryer vent cleaning reminder. Good customer service in my opinion. I was helping my sister move to her new place in CA. She was moving into an older home and the house came with an older Dryer. So as part of her house warming gift I wanted to get her dryer vent cleaned. Back home the news just ran a clip about how dangerous dirty dryer vents can be. Very poor customer service. I called to make in appt that was 48hrs ahead. Joe explained their cancellation policy had to be72 ahead to avoid the cancellation fee. I had to cancel the appt 20 min later and called right back. He scolded me that I needed to call 72hrs ahead! Now I can't do that if my appointment was in 2days! The two very kind gentlemen showed up well within the time frame promised. The price I was quoted was reasonable and the use of a $10 coupon made it even better! Since my plastic dryer vent was torn, I had to purchase the aluminum one they offered for an additional $75! I was also encouraged to buy a electric lint alarm for an additional $119 which I declined. I felt was way overpriced. (They offered $10 off but that was still way too much!) When they were finished, I was given the phone to call "Joe" and let him know of my experience, while Mark stood next to me. The invoice includes a box for reminder call in a year and they try to sell you on window cleaning. Not too high pressure but I did feel like I was being upsold. Although the yelp site says credit cards are accepted, they tell you when you call and when they arrive that only cash or checks are accepted. Wonderful and professional service! For 2 years, my husband and I had to dry our clothes for hours and hours thinking it was our defective dryer. These guys did a fantastic job! They sent an email and called to confirm our appointment in advance, then, on the day of, they called exactly an hour prior to arriving (they give you a choice of whether you want a 30-minute or 60-minute call to let you know when they are coming) and Mark was on time to the minute. Service was efficient, thorough and seemed to be well-priced, especially with the Yelp deal included. The owner of the company does a follow-up call to make everything went well, and they gave me a box of candy to thank me for my business. I haven't experienced customer service like this in a long time!! I also got to see all the lint they pulled out of my dryer vent - we were long overdue for this service. Prior to the call our dryer vent/exhaust was making a very loud noise every time we turned it on, it was so loud we could hear it upstairs and the exhaust is in the garage--yikes! Whenever my fiance runs his dryer, the whole house heats up and becomes super humid. We purchased a new washer/dryer and decided to have the dryer vents cleaned out before installation. We called Dryer Vent Cleaning 911 to clean out the vent that runs from the laundry room under the house. The positives are that they fit us in the day after I called to book the appointment and arrived on time. They were unable to clean out the entire vent because they determined that the duct work had been compromised so they offered to come out again to fix the duct work and also do window cleaning. When they came back, we were told that they needed to charge us 50% more than the quote they had previously provided because the windows were "dirtier than they had thought". This was after they had already started the work!!! One of the window cleaners was more interested in playing with our dogs than he was actually working and my fiance actually had to tell the guy to leave his dogs alone. Then, the supervisor had to leave to go to another job and said he'd be back to complete the paperwork by 3pm but not only did he not make it back by 3, he wasn't there by 5:30 (the time we needed to leave the house) and actually wanted to know what time we would be home after our dinner plans on a Friday night so he could come by later that night! Finally he ended up showing up Saturday afternoon and we ended up only paying $30 more than what was originally quoted. The work seems good, the windows are clean and the new dryer doesn't heat up the whole house. read more

We had a terribly clogged vent system, so much so that our dryer didn't work at all. Joe and his team were the best people we dealt with so far for work on our home. Our appointment was made on early Saturday afternoon but due to another job the technician was going to be late. Joe called us immediately to let us know and also checked in periodically to update the situation. The technician was a little late but it was totally worth waiting for. He cleared out our entire dryer vent and even found an old bird's nest at the outlet. Mark took his time to make sure the job was done right and thoroughly. He even wore show covers each time he entered the house to make sure his shoes didn't get our carpet dirty. This company also goes by Mr. Window Cleaner. I used this company before to clean my dryer vent years ago. My second experience with them was horrible. They charged me $129 + $25 additional for having a double stack washer/dryer unit. In moving the double stack unit in and out of the closet, the technician broke my washer by using excessive force. Didn't realize my washer was broken until after the appointment. I called Joe, the owner, to inform him his technician broke my washer. Joe was condescending and accused me of lying. He said he would call me the next day to schedule an appointment for one of his technicians to come out and take a look. Joe never called me back. I hired a washer repair technician to provide a formal quote. The washer repair technician was able to fix my washer for $150 and said the damages was 100% caused by the dryer cleaner technician improperly moving the double stack unit. Now going through the BBB to get reimbursed because Joe is unresponsive. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this company!!! read more
