I never had my dryer duct cleaned before and decided it was time to have it checked for safety reasons. After sending a few messages on Yelp, I decided to go with AJ's Duct Services. We scheduled an appointment quickly and they arrived a little earlier than expected. Three technicians completed the work. They first connected equipment to the outside dryer vent, where some lint came out, but not much. They then pulled the dryer away from the wall, removed the vent hose, and vacuumed the duct. There wasn't much lint inside either. After the cleaning, another technician came which I asked a couple questions. I mentioned that I was surprised there wasn't much lint, and he explained that my dryer vent is working properly because it vents directly outside instead of traveling a long distance through the walls. I also asked how often I should have it cleaned. Instead of trying to sell me unnecessary services, he told me it wasn't something I needed regularly. He recommended having it checked about every two years for peace of mind and safety. It's very rare someone (especially a business) is honest and I was grateful for his professional opinion. Overall, I like their punctuality and I will always recommend a company that gives straightforward advice instead of trying to upsell you. read more

My dryer was not fully drying the load despite my husband cleaning out the dryer vent. We were also experiencing condensation at the part where the dryer vent connects to the wall. Called AJ's and Jorge was able to stop by the following day. He was able to diagnose the issue, fix it, and provide us education for the future! (builder left stucco blocking the outside vent so limited air was exiting our vent). Testing out a load right now but so far, no condensation or shushing sound at the wall vent. Dryer is running quietly. Jorge and his team provided great service, friendly, and affordable pricing. Highly recommend!! read more

I recently reached out to Jorge and his team to help with cleaning out our dryer's duct vent as we weren't share the last time it was cleaned. After doing extensive research and reading through reviews, we thought that One Pro Plumbing had the best price and were friendly/helpful throughout the entire process. Jorge was was able to get his team out to our townhome from a few days from our initial conversation. Luckily for us, the process itself was a breeze as our vent wasn't too big. Jorge's team was very quick and efficient, having all the tools they needed and asking all the needed questions upfront. Within 15 minutes, our vent was cleaned as well as the team vacuuming afterwards any of the mess that was around the area. I was able to use Zelle to pay for the whole procedure (with a lot of other options being available as well). Super appreciative to the team for the help and efficient cleaning! read more

I found AJ's Duct Services for my mom, and wow she was impressed! She said they were very professional, communicative, friendly, VERY clean, and they gave the best quote for their services. She usually complains about having to clean up after home maintenance workers, but with AJ's she said she didn't have to do a thing! She said she will be a repeat customer for sure. Thanks for taking care of my mom's house, Jorge and team! read more

Definite - 5 stars! I was in need of 2 chimney sweeps and a dryer vent cleaning. Based on the other Yelp reviews, I reached out to AJ Duct Service via Yelp for a quote. Jorge responded to me with a quote within minutes. His quote was comparable (not cheapest, not most expensive) to other quotes I received. He stood apart from the rest based on the order of the following: responsiveness, vibe of his communication, cost compared to value. A date was set - - all via Yelp! (Thank you Yelp!) Prior to arrival, Jorge advised that they were on their way with an ETA. Jorge and his crew arrived on time. They were all very friendly! The crew put booties over their shoes (impressive) just outside the front door before entering the house. I gave Jorge the tour while the crew prepped. They quickly got to work cleaning both chimneys, vacuumed out the fireplaces and cleaned the dryer vent. I had some questions regarding the operation of the flue and the safety devices. Jorge was extremely patient and was able to educate me in a way that I could clearly understand. I didn't time how long it took them to complete the job but I think the crew was in and out within 30 minutes. They worked as a team and left everything spotless. I appreciated that I could choose from multiple methods of payment. I would totally call Jorge again - no hesitations! read more

I recently had AJ's Duct Services come out to clean and service my dryer's duct. My dryer was not working well, and my clothes required 3+ drying cycles to fully be dried. My ducts were filled with years of lint. I must say, they did an excellent job. From start to finish, the service was professional and efficient. Scheduling an appointment was really straightforward. They were able to fit me in their time slot SAME DAY, even though they were pretty busy. They also took the time to explain to me the importance of cleaning and maintaining a clean dryer duct. Thank you AJ and Jorge! You guys are awesome and I appreciate the funny and charismatic conversation that we had. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of service provided. My dryer is now running more efficiently, as well as having a peace of mind knowing that the risk of fire has been significantly reduced too. They cater to almost all areas in SoCal. Not only they offer their services to residentials, they also do businesses, offices, industrial spaces and believe it or not... farm silos! I would highly recommend AJ's Duct Services to anyone in need of duct cleaning or maintenance. read more

We've had a bit of a persistent rodent problem for years, and since we finally got around to cleaning and proofing the attic, we decided we really needed to do some proper cleaning elsewhere as well. Specifically, there's a vent cavity underneath our downstairs furnace that was a prime rodent gathering spot. Jorge got back to me fairly fast with a reasonable quote for cleaning both this cavity and my dryer vent. He also agreed to put some wire mesh along the walls if it was easily reachable for his team (which unfortunately it wasn't, but ah well; I understand, it's a small cavity). His team arrived exactly on time, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that, unlike previous folks we've had work on our house, they always remembered to put on shoe covers every time they entered without needing to be prompted, which is an extra plus. They were very neat and gracious and did a good job both cleaning out the vents and also cleaning up after themselves when they were done. (I also didn't even know where my dryer vented out until they came over and found it for me, so thanks for that!) It was also clear that they were doing their best with what they were able, and they spent a while brainstorming possible solutions to my mesh problem (since they weren't able to squeeze through the opening in order to place the mesh). It's unfortunate that nothing could really be done on that front, but not their fault since it really isn't a service they offer in the first place, so I'm just glad at their willingness to try and work something out regardless. All in all, it was great working with them, and in the future, if I ever need similar work done, I'll definitely look for AJ's Duct Services again. read more

I had a weird sound coming from my dryer...was it a bird, was it something stuck in the duct, or something completely different? I received several replies to a project inquiry and AJ's was able to come out that same day. Communication was really easy with Jorge and when he arrived he noticed that a bird couple was building a nest in my dryer vent! He told me my options and got to work to removing the nest safely. Thankfully there were no eggs in the nest at the time. He was also able to put a cover over the vent so the birds couldn't try to build their nest again. It was an easy and affordable process. Jorge was really easy to work with and personable. Don't hesitate to call AJ's Duct Service in the future! read more

This review is for a dryer vent cleaning. I would definitely recommend this company for the following reasons: 1/Before booking, Jorge encouraged me to shop around and get other quotes. Other companies tried to pressure me into booking with their companies. 2/ Fair pricing 3/ Same day appointment 4/ Upon arriving at our home and pulling out the dryer, Jorge told me that the dryer vent was broken. Jorge was able to replace it on the spot (he already had the spare part in his truck) and charged us just for parts. He did not charge me for labor. 5/ Very communicative. Jorge texted me before and after pictures. 6/ Jorge relayed he was confident about the quality of his work and offered a 1 year warranty on dryer vent cleanings. 7/ Most importantly, Jorge came across on the phone as a genuine, kind and ethical person. His customer service is stellar. Jorge and his crew were fantastic. read more

After completing an extensive - and dusty! - house renovation, I contacted five top-rated air duct cleaning services on Yelp for quotes. I decided to go with AJ's Duct Services, and I am so glad I did! Here's why: COMMUNICATIVE - Proactive, clear, concise, and transparent. From the get-go, Jorge anticipated all my questions and provided a concise summary of their licensing, insurance, process, scope, price structure, and availability. There were no surprises during the process, and as wrap-up, Jorge proactively sent me a recap with photos and videos of my vents before and after cleaning. PUNCTUAL - I've learned through months of house renovation that more often than not, trades are not able to come at the agreed upon date and time. Not so with AJ's Duct Services. They arrived 5 min early, well organized and ready to go. Before they started work, Jorge walked through the house with me to re-confirm scope and again me the reassurance that we were on the same page. HIGH STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE - Jorge and team's inherent sense of integrity about the work they do comes through in the details, from how they prepare the home before cleaning to how they pristine they leave the home and garden after they are done. So, I plan to hire Jorge and his team for my ongoing vent maintenance, and I've already recommended them to a few neighbors. read more
