Do not go here. The website says weather proof unit. It's not. It's a scam. I lost $5,649 (bed frame, drawers, lamp, rug, sweaters, mattress and mirror) in items from mold, moisture and bugs. The unit was infested with carpet beetles that bit holes into a lot of my things. Refer to photos. There was a huge whole in the side of the storage unit. The owner said I didn't have to pay a part of my balance. That's it. It's such poor business. Why store things to have them get ruined. read more

Folks, given the owner's attempt below to shift blame to the moving company, you get to decide who you want to believe and if you want trust your stuff to these folks. As you decide this, consider three things: 1) While the reviews here on Yelp are positive, the last three reviews on Google which were all posted over the last 5 months, are all about things being damaged or stolen while stored with Drive Up Storage. 2) All of three of the local companies I called to try to get the mold on my stuff remediated told me that there was NO WAY that much mold could grow on the stuff in the days between when the stuff was picked up and when the mold was noticed. In other words, it had to have started when stored with Driveup Storage. 2) One of the pics which I shared with the owner is from the moving company's warehouse. You decide if you think the stuff got wet there or in the tin can these folks call a "weather proof storage unit"... While they say that my response to them was "telling" (telling of what? that I am in cahoots with the moving company to defraud Drive Up Storage?) the only thing that is telling here is that they are deflecting responsibility and refuse to make right the damage that occurred while they had our things. If you feel like you can take a chance on your things being damaged, by all means, store your stuff with them. If you do, though, and they get damaged and they refuse to compensate you, don't say I (and the three other reviewers on google who had similar issues with this company) didn't warn you..... read more

Overall, my wife and I were pleased with the service provided by DUS. We ended up having to move out of our apartment and put our stuff in a unit on rather short notice as we were going to be quarantining in the back home in the midwest. DUS made it easy by bringing the unit to our place (good sized units as well) and even helped us load some of the heavy stuff (we didnt pay for the moving service as we had friends helping, but it was nice of them to help on the few items that were rather large). Over the next 8 months or so, it was nice that we knew we could access the unit if needed, and the rates are pretty affordable compared to anything else in the city. When we no longer needed the unit as we were back in the city and had moved, they brought our stuff back to us and everything seemed to be in great shape. They had some issues with a forklift that made the driver later than we had hoped, but we appreciated the fact that they got it fixed asap and prioritize bringing our stuff to us no matter the time of night. Great service and for sure recommend if you are looking for an affordable and reliable solution! read more

One of the best customer service experiences I have had ever -- this is my first review, so that says a lot. I moved out of my apartment in NYC and needed to put my stuff in storage. Everyone knows how space is at a premium in NYC, including storage units. After reviewing several companies benefits for the costs, I went with DriveUp Storage and opted for the additional service of moving my boxes from the apartment into the truck. A few months later, I needed to move more stuff into the unit (6 medium sized boxes), but didn't want to make the trip. They offered to receive it in if I shipped it, coordinated a drop off with keys at a location in the city, communicated the whole time (thanks Andy!!), and returned my keys. All without a hitch. Most definitely recommend!!! Updating review - If you ever actually go to the storage unit in Verona, it is located in a residential neighborhood with a small storefront. There are other semi trailer businesses there, so just be mindful, best to go during the day. The facilities are outside, so make sure that your storage unit is packed tightly/properly in the event (when) any little crawlers make their way in. read more

Friendly driver, who didn't count the time (about 10 mins) he had to circle while waiting for the jerky guy guy whose car was blocking the loading zone to leave. Storage box was as advertised. I used drive up storage to move my stuff from my apartment into storage before moving out of state. They were very professional, fast, and got all my things to fit in the unit upon pick up. Post storing, I needed to have an out of state moving company get my belongings from the driveup storage facility to pack it and deliver to my new place. Drive up storage was very helpful in ensuring the movers had access to the unit and they went above and beyond to help cut my locks as I was not able to be present during the move.
