When I went to the dealer, they quoted really high price and added a bunch of unnecessary services. I was able to get an estimate from Vuong which was much more affordable, and it was great to be able to text back and forth to make sure I'm only getting the services I really needed. It was also super easy to make an appointment. They were able to get me in and out in the same day even with all the difference things being done to my car. It was also really convenient that they have after hours dropoff available. You just park your car in their lot, and they have a safe place to drop off your keys. This was helpful because I had some work meetings I had to take in the morning at the time they opened, so I was able to go in before they opened and drop off my car. SUMMARY: I know enough about cars to recognize excellent mechanics…read more Firstly, I'm a backyard (hobby) mechanic and we have four mechanics in my family. I can recognize when a shop tries to take advantage of me -- indeed, I play dumb when I take my vehicle in, to see what happens. I enjoy working on my old truck myself, but sometimes I don't have the free time, need speciality tools, get stuck, or whatever, so occasionally I need a mechanic I can trust. REDLINE is my go-to place. I've been using them for maybe four years now but just noticed I hadn't left them a well-deserved review yet. ** No BS, fair prices, quality work, no shortcuts, no work I don't need. ** These guys are good. I don't go anywhere else. I think most people cannot usually tell good (quality) work from bad, but I have read the Factory Service Manual and know what should be done and how it should be done. I price the parts beforehand -- both OEM and aftermarket brands I like. I either watch them work or I crawl under there afterwards and inspect everything. Verdict: These guys do the job right and the price is always very fair. I trust them enough that I don't even inspect their work anymore and I have my wife bring in her car for work herself. Don't be fooled by low bid foot-in-the-door tactics used by disreputable shops to get your car there and then they either do sloppy work (i.e. so they can do more jobs/day), use cheap parts (maybe why your bid was so low), or sell you work you don't need (I've seen this a lot with cheap initial bids, followed by an overpriced bid for additional work -- always get a second opinion if this happens to you). Furthermore, poor mechanics (usually techs) that can't diagnose a problem (correctly) just start replacing parts, at your expense! Take it from me, take your vehicle to REDLINE and relax, knowing you're in good hands. I certify that I have no connection to this company other than being a happy repeat customer.

He was very good with laying down expectations of what could and could not be done to restore the cars (which he exceeded, but we will come to that later). The newer Highlander had scratches and artwork from sidewalk chalk all over with significant damage. Mike worked his magic and restored it in a day (and was even gracious about me nervously checking up on his progress through the day). The car came back looking shiny and bright with no signs of the vandalism it had endured. 10/10. The second car was an old black sedan and while I didn't have much hope for it, Mike managed to get the chalk scratches out from that one as well. He also cleaned the headlights (which was a nice bonus and not part of the job). He was very professional throughout the process and gave me a good price for both the cars. I hope my cars are never vandalized like that again but atleast I know who I would go to now if they ever are!
