Bill is the man, I personally work on my own cars but when it came to changing both the upper and lower control arms along with tie rods on my 2001 dodge Ram 1500 RWD, I did not have the time nor a lift to make this job easy. Before I stumbled on Bill I called multiple shops to get quotes and everywhere quoted me $1500 for parts and labor. It comes down to either these shops have no idea on the job or have too much overhead that they have to account for. I ended up ordering my own parts from rockauto for a total of $350 (upper and lower control arms, tie rod ends, tie rod adjustment sleeves) and Bill charged me $400 for labor for the entire job. i have lived out side of california for 3 years now. Bill use to be my car guy. I owned a blue volvo and a silver honda pilot. with his help my honda was tuned and ran great even with over 200,000 miles on it to begin with then i moved to Missouri...she made it to 300,000 miles but with no bill and no one to trust my pilot had to go. Worst experience I've ever had in any business I've ever been to. I've been to Bill's shop twice and both times were a waste of my time and the 2nd was the worst ever (2nd story is insane) (negative stars if possible) The first time was for A/C not blowing cold. He said he could fix it and after 45 mins of waiting for him to check me in he came over to me and said he didn't have the tools to do it and sent me away (would've been nice to know that before sitting there for 45 mins). 2nd time Went to Bill's shop (recommended so wanted to give another shot)for a intermittent power/no start problem. Told him we had replaced the battery (didn't fix it) and had it diagnosed as a wiring/connection issue He diagnosed it himself and said it needed a battery (he said when he went to start it it worked and just needed a better battery). He told me and my wife to pick it up on a Saturday at 1pm (we told him we could pick it up anytime and he said he would be at the shop from that morning until the afternoon). Saturday came and we called him to confirm he was at the shop and he got mad at my wife and hung up on her (didn't say anything and just laughed at the question). I tried to call back and when he answered I tried to be nice and say him and my wife got "disconnected" ("no way that just happened"- I thought) and he responded with "yep" and hung up on me. I called 3rd time and he didn't answer. I called a 4th time and he answered and said he was out fishing and that I ruined his whole weekend and that I was horrible and kept saying how I ruined his trip. I reminded him that I can pick it up anytime or day and that he said 1pm that day and mid sentence he hung up on me again. I was pissed to say the least at this point wondering when to go get it Monday. He then calls me back 5 mins later and says he'll be to the shop in 10 mins (thought he was fishing???) and that I can come get it. When I go to say something he hangs up again. Me and my wife with my 3 toddlers hop in my truck and head over there (about 10 min away) we wait for about 20ish mins and he finally shows up (with 2 cars following him (they said they called him for oil changes and he told them to come over to the shop). He walks over to me and starts cussing me and my wife out in front of my kids!!! I walk away from the truck with him saying that's not ok and he follows me and keeps cussing me out saying I know nothing about cars and that he has been working on cars forever and ranting about how I ruined his weekend. At that point I was really angry and told him to shut the **** up and just stop talking and go and get my wife's SUV. He goes to get my wife's car and imagine my sarcastic surprise when it won't start . He gets even more angry and starts screaming at me from across the parking lot. At this point other business owners have come out to see why he is screaming at the top of his lungs. One tells me to get back in my truck so I don't hit him (apparently I look like I'm about to) "he has clearly lost it at this point" the other owner says and he tries to go calm him down but Bill just keeps screaming. He goes to jump it because "he told me it was the ****** battery"- he keeps screaming.......No start! So he pushes it out of the shop and tells me to get a battery. He gets in his car and drives off yelling at me out of his car as he drives off. (One customer still standing by their car still waiting for their oil change Bill promised....the other had left at this point since this had been over an hour at this point. We end up stuck at his shop (SUV won't start) locked outside in his parking lot waiting for the tow truck for over 2 hrs. When tow arrives I go to show him the problem and the SUV starts right up (intermittent problem remember) but yeah the "battery" is the issue ‍.....just to be safe we drive it on to tow anyway and take it to dealer to have it fixed properly without getting cussed at. That is a long story but I can't emphasize how bad this experience was. Never go here if you are looking to get your car fixed or be professional. read more

Great place. Bill is a good man and holds himself to a high standard that you can feel with your opening interactions with him. This is how a business should feel and act, he reasoned with me to not over due some work if it didn't need it, instead of just taking my money and running with it like many other shops I've dealt with. His shop is busy, but the quality of work doesn't suffer and I honestly expected my car to take days to finish. I came back the next day to pick up my parking pass for college and was told my car was already done. If I need work done to my car and I can't do it myself, you better believe I'm coming here to get it done. Thank you very much, Bill! You gave me confidence in trusting your shop and you didn't disappoint. Update: June 8, 2020 Tried getting these guys to do a boost/vacuum leak test on my car and they had it for about a week. Shouldn't take that long to get to a car and do a simple test when "there's 2 cars ahead of me" so I called them to find out what's going on. Turns out my car was done but they never bothered to call me. They just took readings when I specifically asked for them to do the test and supposedly everything was good. Rather suspicious because I know from my AccessPort from COBB my numbers in fuel trim are way off so I take it to another shop immediately and wouldn't you know it they actually do what you ask them to and it turns out I had 2 leaking spots. Wouldn't recommend these guys anymore and they get 2 stars instead of 1 because they, yet again, didn't charge me. I'm starting to think it's because they don't actually do any work in the first place but I have no evidence. This place either went downhill fast or maybe I was just overlooking things in my beginning interactions with them. read more

This is my go to shop from now on. Bill is such a friendly person and his shop is really cool. I love the aesthetic with the Volkswagen desk and everything. I used to take my car to the dealership and of course they'd tried to charge me an arm and a leg for repairs... not to mention they keep your car for half the day. Bill is up front and honest with you on what needs to be done and he doesn't over price you at all. I dropped my car off at 9 (needed the usual oil and filter change plus a tire rotation) and it was all done by 10:30. I had broke something that holds my mudflap in place and he didn't even charge me the labor to have it fixed. Visit Bill again this year for a few minor issues with the car. I called ahead, left a message, he called right back told me to come on in even though it was almost the end of the day. He got my oil change and other minor things taken care of within 30 minutes even though he had his plate full. He then recommended that I wait on some other repairs as it isn't time yet, such as certain belts, etc. that needed to be changed. I was recommended to Bill's Shop by a neighbor--I have to bake them a pie or something as a thank you because Bill is the real deal. I spoke with him on the phone, explaining multiple recalls my car had from the dealership and how more issues kept arising after those recalls were "repaired." The last time it had been to the dealership, they said it would be another $1500 to make the car safe to drive, but it wouldn't be covered under the recalls/warranty. I had to have the car towed home after they "fixed" it. Bill listened to the car's history, I shared the codes the dealership had pulled and he looked up the car by VIN. He gave me a quote I could live with--much less than the dealership's quote, and he had great reviews. The car was towed to his shop Monday morning and a few hours later he called me to say he had good news: it wasn't the issue the dealership had claimed, it was far easier to fix, it was done and driving well! Best part: 1/3 of his original $$$ quote! The shop is clean and the staff were all cool. I loved the VW bus front as the desk window, lots of awards and customer reviews on the wall. A clean place to sit and wait if needed away from the shop area. 10/10 will go back to Bill's and will definitely be recommending. read more

I was concerned about the humming noise coming from my car and decided to get a second opinion from another mechanic because I wasn't about to drop 2k on a rebuilt transmission just yet. I decided to go with Bill because of the many great reviews I've read. I made a wise decision. It turned out it had to do something with a wheel bearing, nuts, bolts, and a shaft. I had a strange noise coming out of the driver's side of my car recently. It was out of nowhere and it freaked me out because I take great care of my car and have never heard this noise before. A few weeks went by, and I knew I had to get the noise checked out. At first, I had a consultation with another place, and they were trying to charge me $205 JUST to look at what the issue could be. I had a feeling it was my weatherstripping on the driver's side, and I told them that. They said IF that was the issue, I would be charged the $205 still, $300 for the part, and labor costs were TBD. I knew this other place was going to try and rip me off. That's when I decided to call Bill. He told me to head down if I had time. Within 10 minutes, I was at Bill's shop and he took the time out of his busy day to take a look at my car. It was, indeed, a weatherstripping issue on the driver's side. Although he told me he does not do weatherstripping, he gave me advice on how to fix it. I ended up being able to fix my own weatherstripping on my car for $3 versus what the other place would have charged me (close to $1000 after everything was said and done). No more weird noise!!! Bill saved me so much time, money, and put my worries at ease. You can tell how knowledgeable he is and how passionate he is about his work. Very nice guy.
