Every time I see this truck in Eugene or Springfield, it is driving with zero concern for other drivers or pedestrians. Exceeding speed limit in residential neighborhoods, no turn signals, generally driving like I'd find a 13 year old behind the wheel (but frankly a 13 year old would probably aim to do better.) My 1st encounter with this truck was at a 4-way stop. I had to honk at this driver for failing to stop at Greenhill & Royal ave after I was already turning as I had indicated and was MY right of way- this is a very well marked area and there were a handful of other cars. To boot, the ice cream is very expensive for soft serve that comes in a package and gets put into a machine. Try your luck with the McDonald's ice cream makers and don't bother with an ice cream vendor that honestly couldn't care less if they got in a head on collision with you.

We finally made the trip to Junction City on a Saturday and grabbed a half-dozen. While the Raspberry Glazed wasn't quite my personal favorite, the Original was a total game-changer. It was so good, I'm not even embarrassed to say I was literally moaning with every bite! Pro-tip: If you're eating in the car, give them about an hour to cool down. They make them so fresh that the warm glaze is incredibly slippery (and messy) right out of the fryer. Once they set, they are absolute perfection. Locals donuts makes a glazed donut as their standard, and then they have a special donut weekly. They also have pretzels that they sell out of the truck. I haven't had one other plain glazed donuts, but they had a marionberry Bavarian cream a few weeks ago that was absolutely out of this world. One of the best donuts I've ever had; the cream was amazing. Their prices aren't bad, even for the fancy donuts, but especially for their simply glazed ones. The person who was helping me was new and clueless. She asked the other worker who said I was just going to have to wait until she was done with the person she was helping. Meanwhile I have a newly potty trained 3 yr old that needed to use a bathroom which they don't have, who is on the verge of tears and I am staring at a stack of boxes. Finally after waiting she tried to charge me for a box. That seems ridiculous after buying a $42 cake (and another small one while waiting).
