The location is great, so we end up coming here to eat if we are in downtown Duluth and want some BBQ. The food is not bad at all, my BF loved the BBQ sandwich with the rib tips, but it's a little too sweet for me (but I don't like things too sweet) I get the pork plate, we both love the fried orka and I get the green beans for more veggies. We love sitting outside with our dog when the weather is nice. Inside is a little dark, but is fine when the weather is terrible outside. The service is usually good, but I will say sometimes it feels like they need to hire more staff. The folks that work there are nice tho. read more

Fast service, delicious food and the place was packed for lunch. Had chopped pork sandwiches, fries and vinegar slaw. For newbies, ask for white bread and barbecue sauce to dip in, delicious. This is my favorite sauce in town. Gary was great as always, indeed the entire staff was friendly and attentive. read more

This place should not be called Dreamland Barbecue. If you have ever had real Dreamland in Tuscaloosa Alabama then you know this place is a Disgrace. The ribs are so dry and hard and basically meatless ribs Dreamland would never. They were tough and old dry ribs nowhere near fresh, but business looked really slow so those ribs had been sitting out all day or possibly the day before 0-10 I do not recommend read more

Was raided this week by ICE and the kitchen staff was all arrested or stopped coming to work. Closed for a few days because of this. Asked waitress for water and bread at least 5 times before she brought it. Very slow inattentive experience. read more

I have been to several other BBQ places and they all serve only baby back ribs. Dreamland has REAL ribs. the place has been here for many years and have ordered for large party too, But the ribs are what I dream about and they never have disappointed, They are the best I've ever had and still are. The place may be old, but clean and welcoming. If you want real ribs this is the place! read more

What I love about dreamland so much is they are super consistent. The workers are always so nice. In this one guy named Gary, who works there during the weekdays always treats us like we're super special. Well, I love most about dreamland. Is there pork sandwich mac & cheese and especially their banana pudding. Some sleepers, there are the sweet tea in the twang sauce. read more

Good BBQ. Had the pork and sausage, mac & cheese, fries and toast. Good sized portions for the price. Good atmosphere. Very attentive waiter named Gary took great care of me. He recommended peach cobbler to take home and I am glad he did! Very good. Definitely recommend. If Gary is there ask for his section and he will take good care of you. read more

As soon as you walk in the door you can smell the smoke coming from the indoor pit in the back corner! Ohhhh it smelled so good. The place is a throwback to old school BBQ spots. It felt like walking back in time. The pulled pork was amazing, great smoky flavored ribs, wonderful Brunswich Stew and amazing sides! Don't forget the desert...they're famous for their banana pudding and they have a chocolate delight pudding!!! Grab you some Dreamland swag as you exit too! read more

Dreamland BBQ - Kids Menu - Barbeque Near Me - Roswell, Georgia

The ribs were so tough you couldn't eat them.. We ended up taking all our food home to put in the woods for the animals...

A local spot not too far from my work Dreamland smells like I image heaven smells... When you pull into the lot the over powering aroma of smoked meat wraps you in its warm embrace and gently pulls you into its dreamy hug. Basically the smell is amazing! I've said it before... bottle this smell and sell it as cologne! What man wouldn't love to smell like smoked meat? The location is simple but roomy. They have a long bar area and lots of table space. My group came at lunch time and there was plenty of room. The smoking pit is right in the wall of the dinning area so the wonderful aroma of smoking meat just permeates everything... it isn't Smokey in here though... it just provides more of that great perfume. I got the pulled pork sandwich and a side of wickles. Wickles are these crunchy spicy and sweet pickles that are habit forming. They add a great texture and flavor to just about any meal. The bbq sauce is more of the Carolina sauce type. A vinegar base sauce that is more tangy then spicy. Carolina bbq is good but it is not my favorite... however the food was still good. I just prefer my sauce to be a bit more spicy then tangy. Our service was great... the atmosphere was good, the location nice... I'd eat here again if I was with someone who wanted to... but due to the style of BBQ it just is not my preference and I would not pick the location myself. However if Carolina style bbq is your thing this is where you can strap on your feed bag and belly up the the trough! read more

Smaller than the other locations I've been too, but equally as Smokey!! Ribs were meaty, Smokey, and fall off the bone. Pulled hog was smokey and flavorful. Housemade chips were FANTASTICALLY crunchy - had to salt them and got some ranch to dip. The green beans were bland and disappointing. Service was fast & attentive. Watch out for the chuckholes in the parking lot. read more

Dreamland BBQ - Combo - Barbeque Near Me - Roswell, Georgia

Dreamland started in Tuscaloosa Al. People traveled from all over Ala to get their ribs. They branched out to other Alabama cities. Now they are in Atlanta. I met my daughter ex-coworker that lives in the Atlanta area for lunch and he suggested this place I got ribs as did he. His wife got chopped pork with slaw and another side, which looked great. Very pleased with my order. Compared to other shops, the ribs are priced reasonably. read more

Dreamland BBQ - Slab of ribs - Barbeque Near Me - Roswell, Georgia

We drive by this place almost daily and decided to give them a try. We were greeted upon arrival and were told to sit wherever we wanted. The inside was a bit smoky and nothing fancy, but it clean and had several tags to look at while waiting. The server was attentive and friendly, and she kept our drinks filled and checked on us often. Food was good. They only have 1 bbq sauce which had a good balance of flavors. We enjoyed the chicken, slaw, and chips. Their portions are big and allow for sharing, if you want to try a couple of different things! We were told their banana pudding is delicious but was too full to enjoy. read more

So disappointing. Hadn't been here in a while and stopped by for lunch, and was shocked by the poor quality of the food. Pork was very fatty and had very little flavor. Rib tips were more like Sloppy Joe meat slathered in too much sauce, you couldn't even taste the meat. Fries were cold when served and house chips tasted stale. My wife's chicken salad was similarly unappetizing. We ended up leaving most of our portions on our plates; very unsatisfying meal and a complete waste of money. There are too many other great BBQ choices in this area to go back--a shame given how good Dreamland was years ago. read more

Very disappointing. Ordered the wings, expecting them to be smoked. Nope. Fried. Not only fried, but little meat. Assume kitchen knew this, which is why the wings were absolutely swimming in sauce. Asked for grilled tenders, but was told they only came fried as well. That tells me the tenders are fresh and probably come out of a bag. Mac & cheese was nothing but Stouffers. Rib tips were again swimming in sauce, which again tells me the kitchen is trying to hide something. Let the flavor of the meat stand on its own The slaw was actually decent. My waiter was nice enough. Check this one off the list. read more

I was here on Day 1 of the opening. Plastic ware is NOT for hot food. Unfortunately, not what it used to be. However, staff is awesome!

Dreamland is an institution in Georgia. We decided to order takeout last minute, last night. We ordered 6 ribs, Large fries and a bowl of Brunswick stew. All in all, it took 15mins. I asked the counter person, did you include napkins and utensils? She said yes. Of course we get to our destination and alas, no napkins or utensils. How do we eat Brunswick stew without utensils?! Their stew is exceptional. I love the BBQ chicken too. I know where I am. And the smell when you walk in is HEAVEN. I will give them another opportunity to get it right. read more

Dreamland was cool. I'd only been to the location in Alabama and was so excited to see it in Georgia. Not sure what rock I'd been under that I didn't know we'd been blessed with a location. Nonetheless, after going inside, it definitely gave good old fashion bbq restaurant vibes. Nothing fancy, which I'm sure was to keep the focus on the good food. Ordered beef tips and baked beans for myself. Kids got Mac and cheese and one got a bbq sandwich. Can't remember what my husband got but everyone was happy. I'll go back only if I'm in the area. Wouldn't make a trip out of the way as it wasn't as yummy as I'd remembered. read more

You could almost have a heat stroke in there extremely unsafe for customers I can only imagine how the staff feels

It's missing flavor/smoke and not tender enough for me. I actually wanted the rib tips but they would be ready for 2 hours. maybe the pit master should come earlier kind of like Snow BBQ in TX, or Franklin', or Scott's BBQ. Dreamland BBQ - Barbeque Near Me - Roswell, Georgia

It's been a while since I was on this side of town, but I was today so I stopped by for lunch. One of the best smelling bbq restaurants, with the pit in full view, and smoke rolling out at times. Tried a combo rib/pork plate and was a little disappointed. Both the ribs and pork were overly salted. I do like salty foods, but not to the point that you taste more of that over the sauce or meat. Beans, fries and sweet were spot on though. read more

Dreamland is really good BBQ and the best spot on the north side of town I've found so far. They have a pretty basic menu but everything is really good, especially the ribs and smoked sausage. My favorite side are the green beans, their platters come with two sides and I always double up on the beans. Im not a sweets guy so can't comment on the deserts. Their service here is always fast and friendly, great place for lunch since they get you in and out so fast. read more

Second time a charm? That's the saying right. Okay so here we go. Manager invited me to come back. Again, the restaurant is a nice size with plenty free parking. When I walked in, I was greeted and order taken no problem. My first visit I did to go and so this visit I did the same to do a fair comparison. Let me mention my food was still warm when I got home which was nice since I was 20 to 25 minutes away. I will start including pics. The pics attached show I ordered the Combo plate. You have several meat options with this plate. I decided to go with ribs and chicken and for my sides mac n cheese and green beans. I also decided to give the banana pudding another go. Friend of mine told me before you know it's a real bbq place when they just give you slices of bread to go with your food. Lol. It also came with 2 slices white bread and small side of bbq sauce. My dad taught me to me season my meat well and not drown it in bbq sauce. With that said, I was happy the sauce was the side because I didn't use it nor need it. I did taste it just to see. The bbq sauce was thin but nice flavor. The ribs and chicken were well seasoned for sure. Just the right amount of seasoning to give it a good flavor. I wish the chicken hadn't been diced up so small. You have to use fork to scoop it all up. The ribs weren't fall off the bones tender but tender enough. The right before they fall off the bone. Lol. Ribs tasted pretty good. So the sides...the green beans were not over cooked this time. However, the seasoning was a bit too much. There was too much salt for my liking. The mac n cheese looked pretty good. I would say that it reminded of KFC mac n cheese. I was not a fan of it. I wanted a more home cooked mac n cheese than what I got. It wasn't bad just not my preference. The banana pudding was pretty good. It had a really good balance of wafers, bananas, and pudding. Definitely enjoyed finishing my meal with that. This was a better food experience for me compared to the last time. Definitely loved how meat was so well seasoned and no sauce needed. read more

Hadn't been in quite a while. Place feels a bit like it's on life support and run down. Styrofoam plates, meat is really dry, or doesn't taste fresh. Fried green tomatoes have little flavor. Sad used to be good. The servers were very nice, best part. read more

We were seated close to smokey pit. Ugh! My meal portion was less than expected. Ribs were not tender. My fried okra was not separated from my bbq, so some were soggy. Although I lived in Roswell for several years I've only been to this place one time. The first time I think I had the chicken and it was pretty good but I never tried the ribs until yesterday. They were out of rib tips so I got a rib plate with two sides. You get a lot of food for the money. I also tried the fried green tomatoes and they were really good and fresh. Gisele was our server and she was really good with recommending something different since they were out of rib tips. She was a really good server she made sure that the girls have their drinks refilled and brought us to go containers even for the barbecue sauce. Great service and great food. Mmmm, some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. My group and I decided to stop in for some lunch on Friday after volunteering at North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC) down the street. (NFCC offers great assistance by way of a food bank, thrift store, bill assistance and much more! Volunteers needed 5 days a week; visit their website to schedule a time!) I ordered the "Tips and Chips" The rip tops were cooked to perfection and so tender. The house chips were delicious...better than your average Lays potato chips. Offerings: Plenty of seating (went to lunch at 12:30pm on a Friday (party of 8) and was seated immediately) Great lunch/dinner offerings with filling meals averaging $8 Great service (food came out before we knew it!) I'm a Texan! Born and raised around the best BBQ! North ga & Ga suburbs usual falls short on my expectations most of the time. However, my experience at dreamland was good! I had a chopped pork sandwich, creamy coleslaw and green beans. The pork was tasty! Finely chopped, not overly dry, nor overly salted. The pickles were dill not those horrible sweet bread and butter ones! The sauce was a wonderful balance of vinegar/ sweet combo. Definitely my cup of tea! The coleslaw was cold and perfect! Green beans were good too. Haven't tried the brisket .. but I might next! Great job dreamland! This Texas girl is happy!! read more
