I was a returning customer at Dream Lash in Flushing, and after the quality of my last appointment and the way I was treated afterward, I would strongly advise going elsewhere. Their work was inconsistent throughout my visits. Sometimes it was good, other times disappointing. I rarely complained and kept giving them chances. At my last appointment, my freshly done lashes started falling out THE SAME DAY I left. Within two days, the fallout was terrible. Paying for lashes that barely make it home before they start falling out is frustrating enough. Having your concern dismissed makes it worse. I contacted them about the problem, but returning for a correction was not practical. This location is out of my way, and I have to clear my day for an appointment. Fixing disappointing work would mean giving up even more time for something that should have been done properly the first time. When I went to book my next appointment, I politely reminded the woman handling the calls and texts about what happened. Her response was to get defensive and tell me the technician had been there for years and was highly requested. That is not an explanation for poor work. I paid for a service, and the technician's reputation did absolutely nothing to keep my lashes from falling out. The way she addressed me over text was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I should not have to argue about my own experience just because an employee does not want to hear criticism. If a business accepts your money, it should also be able to accept feedback without treating you like a nuisance. I was then told there were no appointments available. Yet when my friend called, suddenly there were openings. That left me seriously questioning the honesty of the explanation I had been given. What really cemented my decision to stop going was the change in her attitude after she learned that I do media and influencer work. Suddenly, she was interested in smoothing things over. To me, that felt like concern about public criticism rather than genuine concern about the service I received. Basic respect should not depend on whether a customer has an audience. Based on my experience, Dream Lash is not worth the money, the inconvenience, or the frustration. Macy's Flushing, roosevelt ave vicinity with a 3rd floor walk up. The place is simple, with 4 beds a payment station and 3 lash experts. The place wasn't busy but each bed was occupied with a customer receiving lash care. This place offered a choice board of quality mink and silk lashes. The very first row felt thick and hard like cardboard and as you moved down the chart the lashes start to feel softer and more luxurious. I chose the premium mink lashes ($120) which came out to $108 with yelp check in offer. Total with tip and taxes was $133....a bit pricey but they look great and I hardly notice them. They feel feather light and baby soft. I love them!! After my last lash visit at another salon I needed some major lash TLC. Chloe greeted me and showed me the various lengths and quality. My own lashes are a 10 so she suggested either 11 or 12. I was only looking to replace the lashes from my first application. I opted for a natural look, and nothing dramatic so I selected 11. Chloe was very diligent and patient in applying the lashes one at a time. The process took just under an hour and I am very happy with the results. After viewing, the corner edges needed a touch up to even out and Chloe happily fixed them for me. Upon leaving, Chloe and her co-worker explained followup care and recommended a 3 week touch up where they remove all lashes and reapply. For reference, a 2 week touch up will run you $70, 3 week touch up will be $90 and thereafter will be charged at $120. I went back in today under 24 hours because I noticed gaps and sideway looking lashes. I called them and ask if there was a way to care for the lashes and they offered to help me fix the side frays. I took pictures and sent it to them and they were very kind in addressing the issue. Chloe was there and she assured me and provided a 48 hour guarantee. Love the service and their attention to trouble shoot. Remember this is a service oriented business so even though it was protected under 48 hours, it's a nice gesture to tip and show your appreciation. I bought a Groupon and wanted to try a place closer to my nail place since I like to do everything all in one day. No I get my lashes done every month - religiously. I usually get them done in the city and I was also tired of taking 4 hours out of my day to drive there and back. The pre visit customer experience was really good. I was able to text them about my appointment and concerns. I got there 20 mins early and they had two people so I started about 5 mins late. Which isn't a issue. The tech I had i don't know or understand her technique but I felt the tweezers on my eye lid and I would feel her attaching each lash to my lash. Like a pulling feeling. Usually I take a nap and relax and I look forward to it. Especially since I have a very busy life. Three different times I jumped out of pain of her pulling my lashes too hard. One time she poked me so hard she screamed herself. My eyes were so red when she was finished. One of them had too much glue and felt so heavy. She had to get the other girl to help me and he was fine. When the girl came back she did something and starting hurting me again. I thought I bought the 100 lash per eye package but she told me all the Groupons are for 70 per eye. Which isn't full. I got natural length and it still ain't full. I kept asking her to see my voucher but she wouldn't show me and I couldn't see if anymore since I used it. I mentioned to her like.. are you gonna say anything about hurting me ? And she told me new customers are sensitive. She removed a few lashes from me - so I'm not new to lashes. She just kept saying that no matter what I told her. She never said sorry either. I told her that I'm a big review person and if she think i should try her gain before making a review and she said don't come back to her go to someone else. I told her nevermind then handed her tip and she refused it. I told her have a bless day and left. Update: I only experienced this at this place and one other place that was very cheap. When ever I wash my face - a little drop of water makes the gun burn my eyes for about 15 mins. I only experienced this twice- here and another cheap place. IM VERY disappointed and regret going here. My lashes DO NOT look like a full set of MINK lashes. They look skimpy, sparse, and spaced out. Ughhhhhhh I normally like natural very soft looking lashes. But its my bday weekend and I wanted an enhanced effect. DO NOT GO HERE if you want nice looking lashes. The young lady was very nice, but she messed up my lashes and even after 3 attempts couldn't fix it. She placed the lash wayyyy above my lash line & then tried to tell me it was beautiful. I could not open my left eye as the lashes were stuck and it took more than a few attempts and 2 technicians to fix. A more experienced technician finally fixed the lash that was higher than the rest. But my lashes still don't look nice. I wanna cry. They gave me a 20 gift card but I will not be going back so it's useless to me. They also overcharge as they charge tax on tip which is also illegal and unethical ( they blamed it on the machine). I should report them to the State Department and taxation. I tipped 15 percent of the original price which I regret because I am very unhappy with the results. Also they charge taxes only if you use a card. If you pay cash, no taxes are charged. Shady business practices along with skimpy eyelashes makes this place a no go for me. read more

They took their time on me but I must say it was a little uncomfortable to be in a room so open and have 3 beds laid out for customers to get their eyelashes done together. I've gotten my lashes done a few times and most places I've gone to had our own separate rooms. Anyway, I came to check in and showed them my groupon that I had purchased for mink lashes which were more expensive than silk. Not once during the booking or before putting my lashes on did they ask what kind of lashes I wanted. To be honest, I don't know if they put mink or silk lashes on me. The place has a clean feel to it and has 4 beds. I was greeted by someone when I first got there and after deciding the length and curl I wanted (14mm, c curl) she got right to work on my lashes. The overall process took a little over an hour and I was very satisfied with the end results. I purchased a Groupon for mink lashes, and a heads up for anyone going with a Groupon that they charge an additional $5 for tax (not including tip). First time trying premier mink eyelash. I hesitated at first because it is very pricey. However the result turned out great! If you can afford the higher price, i definitely recommend premier. It is very light, super comfortable wearing it, and feel like your own eyelash!! I tried silk and regular mink before, they are not comparable to premier mink. I also like the glue Barbi Eyelash uses. When fake lash falls, it doesn't bring down my own and surprisingly it still stays long (3-4 weeks no doubt). In 20 minutes Dana stated she added 15 lashes to each eye and the look was noticeable. There was no pain AND NO BURNING afterwards. She did a great job. The only thing I will say, is this is a great place if you want natural looking semi dramatic lashes. Not if you want SUPER DRAMATIC KIM KARDASHIAN RHOA tv lashes. I do a lot of on camera work so I like drama. The LONGEST lashes they have are 14. Bought a Groupon for the 70 count mink lashes, called and made an appointment for a Saturday with no problem. However, coming from Brooklyn, I doubted the difficulty of finding parking in Flushing. Even though I was 20 min earlier for my appointment, I ended up being half an hour late and had to park in a parking lot. Anyway, I didn't get the name of my eyelash technician but I'm just so glad she was able to accommodate me even though she was fully booked. The place itself is super small but I didn't realize how great of a job they did until my lashes were still looking great after 3 weeks. It would hurt if I tried to pull them out. The lashes here look very natural though, which is good if that's what you're looking for. I wanted something a little more dramatic but I didn't think paying an extra $20 was worth it for the 90 lashes. In retrospect, I have been to several other eyelash extension places after Barbi Eyelash and they cannot compare. Hence, I would deff pay more for the quality! I went here with a Groupon and went back for a touch-up. A few things to note: the space is SMALL and very bare bones. Like literally a room with 2 tables and the staff. It's cash only if you need to pay for anything additional and just something to note if you're Asian, the workers speak both Chinese and Korean (and of course, English lol) because they will ask you. Anyway, I found that the workers do solid work. The very first time I got eyelash extensions was at a place in the city and I thought they were great until an extension fell off an hour later (uhhh what?). So, after visiting Barbi, I was surprised at how much better the work they did was in comparison. I was so happy with how they came out and with how long they lasted. The process is long and if you don't end up passing out, you can start to get a bit jumpy, but they do play some calming music while they work on you, so it helps a little (kind of). Location is super convenient. On Roosevelt right next to a bunch of stores and Macy's and there's a sign directing you to the second floor.
