This five star review is solely for the services. I've been coming to miu miu for just under a year for eyelash extensions and it has become my lashes home. I went to two other places prior to finding this place and always had issues with lashes falling out, pain when I blinked, or a slew of other issues. The technicians here are fantastic. They are able to create really natural and beautiful looks. I am always asked if my lashes are real because they look so natural. I typically go for three weeks bills, but even after three weeks, my lashes are still full. As an optometrist who has seen a fair share of chemical burns from lash extensions, I was very thorough in researching a place where the technicians are skilled. All the technicians is here doing great and safe work! For my health standpoint, I have no hesitation here! And this This place is not somewhere you go if you care about how the location looks - it is super no-frills. The person in charge of scheduling can sometimes make scheduling conflicts so make sure your appointment is correct! Back to my new favorite eyelash place today. I found out recently by the owner that my go to people would not be available. Angela was no longer with them, and Amy was not available. The owner assured me that I would be happy with my new technician. Based on my experience with the owner, I trusted his word. I left again a happy customer! Tristan did an absolutely fabulous job, I think I may dare say, it's been the best so far, if that's even possible. I was running late so I called ahead to make sure it was ok. Not to my surprise, they were very accommodating. Tristan examined my lashes and went to work. He added the individual lashes, giving my eyes a lift with what looked like could be my own lashes. Upon arrival all the technicians were occupied but I was greeted and was told to wait a bit. I didn't know waiting meant having to wait 45 MINUTES. I scheduled an appointment for 6:30pm last Thursday and the technician didn't start working on my lashes until 7:15pm. It was truly frustrating sitting around because in the time that I waited I could have been close to done with my lashes had they started on time. When they finally got started on my lashes (13mm, D curl, cat eye) it took roughly an hour and when the technician was done I was highly impressed by how full my lashes looked. It has been a week since I have got my lashes done and they still look great! Bottom line is that they do a great job with the lashes, just not down to wait the additional waiting time. read more

They got back to me within less than ten minutes and let me know that I could come in earlier since their lash tech finished early with her previous client. The woman that did mine mainly speaks mandarin, but I was able to communicate exactly what I wanted using the visual options they presented me with. It's important to note that their location is not accessibility friendly. My BF is in a wheelchair so I was a bit late since I had to carry him and the wheelchair up two flights of stairs, but they were understanding. I got the full set synthetic mink 13mm long. It turned out very natural (exactly what I wanted because I wear glasses) and it was done within 45minutes for only $40 /not including tip since it was my first time there. I recommend! read more

Ladies! Please, please make sure your lash technician know what she's doing. I don't normally come here as often since my lash technician is in the city. But when I do they typically don't do a bad job..except for my last visit. Always make sure to tell them if you experience any discomfort during the process and after. First off the lash technician kept pushing down on my eyeball which felt very weird I'm guessing she's new? , but after she finished when I got home my eyes felt very tight and uncomfortable. I checked in the mirror and I've notice that she glued the eyelashes onto my eyelid or too close to my eyelid. This can cause a bacteria infection as well as damaging your real lashes. To start off, this place exceeded my expectations. My first impression was that their store presentation is a little lacking, as the building is a little hard to find (no big signs) as well as slightly-dirty looking. In addition, my friend went to use their bathroom and found a roach in it. So needless to say, we were uneasy about the place at first. However, the lashes turned out GREAT. My technician was Vera, and she did a great job making my eyelashes look full, and I was very happy with the results. During the process, I was slightly uncomfortable because the tape they use is a little more harsh than other places I've experienced and tugged at my surrounding skin a little more than I would've liked. Other than that, I am really satisfied with the service. The lashes itself also lasted a LONG time. I only started noticing a difference in volume about a month and a half after I got them. I think this place is worth a try. I tend to like to try new places often (mainly for pricing/new client discount) so I'll be going somewhere else for my next set, but if those don't work out I would definitely come back here. Okay so I wanted to wait to give this review. I've had my lashes on for 3 weeks now. I'll talk about a few things. Parking: parking in the area is terrible ! But Ian(eyelash technician) directed me to a nearby parking garage for 4 dollars for two hours. Give yourself extra time if you don't want to pay the 4 dollars. Wait: they were understanding of my lateness due to parking but i had to wait a bit . They had snacks so i was okay. Groupon: i got the full mink eyelash with 100 pieces from Groupon , 13 inches in J curl. Technician: i think my tech's name was Amy , i forget. She was pretty patient with me (my eyes flick a lot) . As soon as I walked in they were so welcoming. The offered water, tea or coffee. They went over the type of lashes I wanted and the process since it was my first time. Soon after introductions, we got started. I never realized I was so sensitive around my eyes. So when she got started and I started tearing n itching, she was very patient and comforting. So much so I even fell asleep. She did a great job with my lash extensions. I got them done for my vacation which was 2 weeks ago. I got a Groupon to do a mink eyelash extension. Got upsale to get the 3D instead. My experience was horrible and this ruin my day and maybe upcoming days. First of all, making appointment over the phone was easy and fast. No information was asked to be fill out for the eyelash extension after you arrive. Only one technician (Tristan might be the name, not sure.) was there for my appointment. I was expecting some consultation before we get started, I tried to ask questions but he doesn't seen wanted to talk other than telling me to upgrade to 3D for more natural look. Which I agreed and paid extra $40 plus tip for 3D just wanting to have a better result (Horrible mistake). Then you pick the length of lash you like and the style. No suggestions or anything. You will be screwed if you are a first timer. From walking in to laying down was less than 2mins. Avoid this place if you want a natural eyelash extension look, especially if you are a asian girl like me who barely wear eye makeup. I have a Drag queen's most dramatic eyelash on when I first open my eyes. Technician told me he took a layer of extension off already before its done. He took another few off after I express how much I hate it. He then told me maybe I should stick with mink eyelash next time because it's not as dramatic!!!! Why would you tell me to get 3D when I ask for natural look? Yes 3D lash on the simple panel was much softer than the mink lash. But 3D's outcome was thick and harsh. I believe it's because he doesn't know how to fan out the 3D. The procedure was fast because he was glueing a cluster of 3D eyelashes on to one strand of real lash. None of my extensions looks fan out, just thick dark clusters of extensions. No post care instructions were given to me either. Yet, he claims he have 5 years of experience. Tips especially to asian girls: Unless you like the dramatic look, help yourself and try another place. Don't start your eyelash extension unless the technician knew exactly what you like. Both were very well trained and made sure I left satisfied. My lashes were so fluffy and voluminous. Lashes also had really good retention so I am definitely returning for another session. When I arrive to my appointment, they told me my appointment was canceled. I asked why, they told me because I had not answered their phone call (while I was in church). I made an appointment 10 days from contact and was asked for my Groupon voucher number. I did not want to provide it yet since you are unable to return or exchange a voucher after it's been viewed. I communicated this to the person I was messaging and was told I won't be scheduled if I don't provide the voucher number. This policy is shady and ridiculous. Making an appointment is fairly easy You can make your appointment through yelp were the owner is very responsive, or you can simply call. The owner as well as the workers are very accommodating as well as patient. It was my second time getting eyelash extensions done and the ladies are very helpful with trying to help you choose what would be best for what you are looking for. I love that Miu Miu is very text savvy, the same day as your appointment they send you a text message to remind you, as well as they give you there location with the nearest parking garage which is only a two minute or less walk away. Upon arrival, it's nice and cozy with peaceful music in the background. The ladies review everything with you in the waiting area, once you confirm what you like and want they are ready to get to work! UNSKILLED, UNSANITARY, UNPROFESSIONAL and do not care for your eye/eyelash health. I do NOT recommend because the employees prioritize speed and making $$$ instead of giving you a long lasting set that does not harm your natural lashes. More details below: Red flag (RF) #1: RUSHED. The lady did my set in 1 hour, 10 min consult + 45 minutes service + 5 min drying. I got a 3D volume full set which at licensed and trained salons should take at least 1.5 hours to do correctly. I know Bc I have been getting my lash extensions for 5+ years now but sadly my old salon shut down do to the pandemic. Salons that take their time show they are detailed oriented and place 1-2 extensions MAX per natural lash or use thin lashes to make volume fans to keep the lashes light weight. Zoe (who did my lashes at Miu) put 3-6 regular lashes on 1-2 of my natural lashes to speed up the process.... Why is this a problem? Your natural lashes grow at difference paces. On day 1, they will look perfect. On day 5+ your lashes will grow out and push on the other lashes they are glued to making it a very very uncomfortable experience. You'll want to rip your lashes out at this point. (The salon even has a photo of the lash growth cycle in their salon! It's ironic they have this posted but will rush the glueing process to fit more customers in) RF #2: LACK SKILL AND TECHNIQUE. I noticed this shortly after the service and returned to Miu to get this fixed. What Zoe should have done is removed these extensions to redo part of the service to place 1-2 extensions per natural lash. She did not. Instead, she went in with tweezers to physically separate the extensions and natural lash. This caused my natural lashes to rip and break off. The two employees explained to me that "at their salon, this is how it's done." However, basic lash extension 101 is to place the extensions on individual natural lashes to protect the lash health, and for maximum comfort for the customer. There are of course stylistic differences among lash extensions however, the whole point of lash extensions are to place the extensions on 1 natural lash because natural lashes grow/fall at different rates. RF#3: AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. When I came to get my lashes fixed, Zoe knew she installed clumped lashes but put the blame on me. She said I brushed them too much. She also put the burden on me to guide her to separate each clump. I had to keep one eye open and one eye closed as she combed through the lashes. I had to say "yes this lash" and ONLY THEN would she make the appropriate fix...She is suppose to be the professional yet I am the one guiding her? Imagine going to the auto repair shop and the employees ASK YOU how to fix your tire as if they cannot see which tire is flat. Or imagine you go to the hair salon and the employee tells you to hold their hands as they complete your hair cut. RF #4: UNSANITARY. They have 4 beds available yet only use 2 and do not sanitize the beds between customers. They could easily have a new customer sit at the extra bed as they sanitize the previous space. Also, no hand sanitizer or sanitation of tools are used between service. Like I said, Miu shop cares about getting customers in and out quickly to make the most $$. RF#5: UNPROFESSIONAL. The employees attitudes are very indifferent and evasive. I speak mandarin so it was not a language or cultural difference. Zoe was also on her phone while fixing my lashes. Not only is this unprofessional, but it's extremely unhygienic. RF #6: INCONSISTENT PRICES. On the phone, they told me it is 50% off. In person they only gave me $20 off the $100 set. Final thoughts: I really wanted to love this place. The reviews seem high but please don't be deceived. Please save your $, time, and eye health. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! read more

The lady on the phone said yes we have many different colors and I said I would be calling back to make the appointment. I then proceeded to purchase the Groupon trusting the information that the "professional" had given me over the phone. I today arrive with my friend to both get our lashes done as she also purchased a Groupon but for black mink lashes, only to find out that they will not do brown lashes unless I pay extra.
