Yumi and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about all the lash shapes, lengths, styles etc, and helped me decide on the best look for my eye shape and face. The ambience is nice and clean. Yumi's job was impecable! She did my lashes in 45 minutes (most places take at least an hour) and they look natural and very professional. Great job! She knows what she's doing! I will continue to support this business. I will come back to check out the other services (massages, facials, laser hair removal etc). It's been a year now getting my lashes done by Yumi, and there has never been a time where I've been disappointed with the technique and service that Yumi and her amazing team offer. I remember when I first explored the lash world on Groupon... I tried so many studios (for the deals but also to find the one that was the best) and I found that the best customer service, clean studio, and natural but durable lashes is Yumi's. If I really go out of my way to take care of my lashes they last about 5-6 weeks (w/ no refill)... but this past summer it's been water parks, pools, and beaches but even then they lasted a good 4-5 weeks before looking a bit funky. Just goes to show how durable they are. ONE OF THE BIGGEST PERKS ABOUT YUMI, is the free valet parking. I mean we all know flushing is super hard to find parking but the front desk gentleman is so great with saving you the hassle of finding parking. You just text him when you're in front and he'll take it from there. It's honestly godsend! Then there's the price; definitely one of the more affordable options, and they have a cash discount meaning if you pay cash it's cheaper than credit card. I remember paying $100 in my second favorite lash studio , but it just got to the point where it was just not worth going there anymore-- parking issues, overpriced lashes, worried of getting tickets. My friend and I came here specifically to get eyelash extension! They have an amazing Groupon promotion for ~$50, and it was also highly reviewed. They have many options to choose from, but the Groupon only applies for the mink style of eyelash extensions. You can choose among doll, regular, cat, and one other one that I can't remember. I would recommend the doll look if you have larger eyes because they really give a sexy and sultry vibe. The cat style is perfect for people with smaller eyes because the various lash lengths will make your eyes look bigger. You can also decide how long you want your lashes to be. I personally asked for doll mink lashes in the length 12. The interior of this establishment is quite cozy and comfortable. There are 3 beds covered in towels and clothes, and many of the beauty technicians don't speak English very well. However, I was able to converse with them in Mandarin. They provided excellent advice and were really friendly the entire time. I hadn't slept much the night before, so I was looking forward to laying down for an hour and shutting my eyes. You can feel and hear the technician working on your eyelashes, but she's very gentle. I fell asleep quickly because they laid a towel blanket over me, and it was warm and comfortable. I would say the only complaint I had was that one of the technician's sons was in the next room watching cartoons very loudly and jumping from room to room, so that was a bit distracting. My technician was incredibly detailed and spent a lot of time on my lashes, and I ended up loving them. It's really difficult to tell where your real and false eyelashes begin, and the afterlook is incredible. My friend also loved her eyelashes (she got the cat look in length 12). The owners are also really honest and kind. My friend paid $120 for both of us ($60 each), but they handed back our cash and said that it was only $50 that day. I highly HIGHLY recommend coming here to get eyelash extensions. They allow people to walk in for a cheaper rate to get your eyelashes touched up, and everyone is really kind and helpful. BEST EYELASH EXTENSION PLACE!! Initial Experiences The first time I ever got eyelash extensions was for my birthday. My friend recommended Yumi's so I decided to try them out. I found a groupon which was around $60 for a certain amount of mink lashes for each eye. I made an appointment and Joy did them for me and they looked amazing! However, the style was too natural for my taste. I made another appointment and I was able to meet with Yumi. I told her that I wanted a more dramatic look, so she suggested that i get flat lashes instead of mink because they are thicker and more dramatic. Yumi did them herself and she was awesome! She added the flat lashes on top of the mink ones but they blended together seamlessly. I barely felt like anything was even happening to my lashes since she was so gentle. I continued to get my lashes filled for a few months on and off and I have had Jessica, Yumi, and Joy (all awesome). My lashes looked amazing each time and I always get compliments. Today, I decided I wanted to get double which is much thicker and more noticeable. I believe Jessica started on my lashes and then Joy finished. I LOVE how they look!! So dramatic and full. Environment The location is in a somewhat busy area but it's definitely worth the trip. There are 3 beds and I believe one separate bed in a different room. They always have candy out in the waiting area which is super cute. The beds each have a basket to put your belongings and the beds have pillows and a cozy blanket. The beds are also heated!! So comfortable that I fall asleep almost every time. There's usually some low music playing so it's overall very relaxing. Service I have never had a bad customer service experience with Yumi's. Every time I call, it is usually Sean who answers and he is so polite and helpful! On multiple occasions I have asked to move my appointment around either to a different time or date and it has always worked out. If I book an appointment a few days in advance, I will usually get a text the day of asking to confirm my appointment. In addition, when it gets closer to the time of the appointment, they will tell me to let them know if I need help finding parking! I have never needed help to find parking before but I think it's amazing that they offer that service. The lash technicians are always super accommodating and making sure that you're comfortable. I personally have very watery and sensitive eyes (especially my left eye) which is part of the reason why I wanted extensions, whenever I wear falsies they always come off because my eyes randomly get watery which loosens the glue. I feel so bad because every single time I get my lashes done, my eyes start watering up which probably makes it more difficult to work with. I always worry that the lashes will not stay on as long or look as good, but they always come out looking good. The lash techs always gently wipe the tears with a cotton swab and carefully work around my sensitive eyes. In addition, I received a $10 off coupon a few months ago and for the holidays, they gave me a bottle of lotion! Today I also received a $10 off coupon for New Years. Lashes I usually get size 10-14 cat eye style with flat lashes. This is personally my favorite because I love dramatic lashes. I recently got double which makes it look like I'm wearing falsies and I love it! The flat lashes are a bit more expensive but definitely worth it in my opinion. I usually get fill ins every 3 weeks. After 3 weeks it's considered getting a new set. Even after 3 weeks, the lashes still look pretty decent! I do not lose many of my natural lashes, but if you take them off yourself you will probably lose a lot. Definitely get them taken off professionally to avoid losing too many natural lashes. I also clean my lashes with baby shampoo every few days to keep them looking clean and fresh. I also recommend brushing them out every morning (they usually give me a new brush every visit). Overall, Yumi's is the first place I have gotten lash extensions and I will probably not be trying any other place! Definitely try them out! read more

For now two years I come to the same eyelash place. They are extremely nice and I send all my friends and family to this place that's how much i love and trust them. My absolute favorite eyelash technician is Joy!!! ASK FOR JOY she is amazing. Everyone there is amazing but my personal favorite is Joy. I have never experienced my lashes falling out fast. It stays on for a good 2-3 weeks. As for the pricing it's truly fair! One specific time I had an appointment close to closing and I had it with Joy. She did not rush the process nor did she make me feel uncomfortable like I was holding her up. She was AMAZING. Joy took her time and did an incredible job as per usual. Yumi is amazing!!! I love her! She is the most humble person EVER. You would never think she runs the place. As for Shawn, the most sweetest. I literally love everyone there! I would definitely recommend this place! I was looking for a new permanent lash place and like most people, I like to use groupon as a way to try them out. I picked Yumi because of the decent reviews and the convenient location. The total time I spent there was only half an hour which included payment, service, and tipping. I walked in and mentioned my name and reservation and the lady at the entrance did not care to greet but just asked for my groupon. I knew what length and style I wanted right away and so we got started. Each eye literally took 10 minutes and she even walked away midway to order lunch (that's okay, we all get hungry!). However, after the first eye being done that quickly, I was skeptical so I counted how many times she pulled off a lash from her clip and it was less than 60 pieces (I paid for 80 per eye). Everyone here was very welcoming except for the individual who did my lashes. She was not very helpful when I asked for suggestions regarding style and length. She simply responded by questioning me back, "you never had lashes before?". I know that lash sizes may vary from place to place but I guess my question wasn't welcomed. I should have walked out at that moment. I had chosen the 80 piece per eye set and I kid you not this same woman was able to finish both my eyes in 30 minutes (not in a good way). Not only did it feel rough and rushed, she took multiple breaks in between and was chatting / laughing with her colleagues the entire time. I found this place on Groupon on 8/29/18 and called them via yelp after reading the reviews. I spoke with Shawn, who was really nice. I was able to get an appointment the same day for 2pm. When I arrived, the place is beautiful. Inside and outside, their decor is amazing. I was greeted By Shawn & Yumi. They introduced to Anna, who was my lash tech and we started. The entire process was an hour & 20 minutes. It was my first time getting silk lashes and Anna Was so gentle. She made sure I was comfortable and she checked how I was doing throughout the entire appointment. I couldn't see and my phone rang a couple times and she even answered for me. ANNA IS SO SWEET! SHE WAS GENTLE AND HELPFUL. I hate to leave bad reviews but it's now 8/30/18, a day later and the lashes are almost off. They started falling off hours later. Yumi said she wasn't sure how long silk last on my curly lashes but I didn't expect it to fall off the same day! I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the outcome. Unlike many places in the city, they don't charge you extra for removing older lashes, even if you got them at another place. The service was a total of 40 minutes, including the removal! They really do their best to fit you into their schedule--I actually called the day of and their were able to fit me in, despite having to work over their store hours. The space itself is the upper level of an upscale facial product store. Super clean and well kept. Everyone there makes you feel super welcome and comfortable. For 4yrs, I've always wearing eyelash extensions and this is my first time seeing my lashes fall off SO FAST!! Because of my work, I had to go to NY for few days and I bought a coupon from Groupon. The next day after I got my eyelash extension done, my eyelash line was swollen up and it hurt so bad. After like 3-4days, my eyelashes started falling off and some of them were twisting and flipping over. Also, I found out a technician put like 5 fake eyelashes on my 1 eyelash!! She even ruined my own lashes!! Yesterday, I went to my eyelash extension shop in NJ to fix my eyelash, they were shocked.... ANYWAY! I will NEVER come back to this shop!
