    Try this, so delicious

Saturday , May 31, while doing errands, we spontaneously thought about dining in here.. It was our First time.. 12nn, we were seated by the wonderful lady and immediately asked us what we wanted for our drinks, we ordered rootbeer and then for the main dish, we got Lemon Sauce Chicken and Mongolian Beef Spicy with Steamed Rice.. Service was quick, the staff was very efficient, food was delicious.. Love the tenderness of their meat and the softness of the rice.. The staff always checked on us and she was the only person running the whole dining area, from taking the orders, serving the orders and attending to payments.. Salute this lady, for the big crowd you had that time, you maintained the sweet smile all throughout our stay there... Magnificent!

We ordered take out and the server at the front was very nice and attentive to our questions. We got cashew chicken and broccoli beef. To each individual dinner we added on a soup of the day (choices were wonton soup or sweet and sour soup), one spring roll and a side of steamed rice for an additional $7. It's a pretty good deal and plenty of food.

Went back again tonight and was blown away, again. Delicious food and exceptional service with a beautiful ambience. A little bit dated, but who cares?! The server is so sweet and everyone was very attentive and service was timely. Corkage is only $10! Highly recommend. P. S. My daughter said the orange chicken got five stars!

Spicy eggplant in garlic sauce. Vegetarian Fried rice. String beans.

Came here on Christmas eve. It was packed with people. Given that, the food came fairly quickly. The flavors and spice level were spot on. The food was not too greasy. Eggplant was so well cooked. Food portions were pretty solid. Service was nice. We enjoyed the food.

Fresh wontons in an uplifting, light broth.

We had a lovely dinner at Dragon Valley in Napa Valley. The restaurant is quiet without any background music which is a pleasant change in such a noisy world. Our server was very friendly and attentive with an infectious smile. Everything came out hot and fresh and was tasty. Our only general note, we would have preferred a lighter touch with the salt. The calamari had a nice breading. The wonton soup was excellent in a light sauce with fresh dumplings. Sizzling beef with black pepper platter had heads turn when they presented the dish -definitely an attention-getter! Nice flavor, tender beef and vegetables. We ordered a small side of rice to accompany the dish. Thank you for a nice dinner. We will be back!

Best Chinese food in Napa by far. Love the pupu platter, sweet and sour chicken, and fried rice. Always order extra to go. Friendly staff.

A tip of the cap to our server who had to answer so many questions from some in our group. That being said, everything was hot and generous. Everyone got their fill and commented on how good it was. After a year of boycotting them, I tried one more time, and called in to ask nicely if they could "Please add soy sauce and Hot Mustard" to my order. They LITERALLY gave me the absolute smallest plastic container of Hot Mustard that was only big enough for 1 prawn. I called the restaurant, and they hung up on me. I will NEVER order from this over priced junk food spot again in my life.

As such, it was extremely noisy and you could see that couples on dates had a hard time even talking to one another, and eventually just stopped. I could barely hear my wife talking next to me. Most of the servers would even have to lean in to hear the orders. As for the food, nothing really stood out. We ordered a large variety as we were a group of 10 eating family style and nothing really stood out. The quality of the food I would say was akin to fast food or mall food court level, but you're paying 3 times as much. The price belied the food quality. For example, 3 small pieces of ribs as an appetizer for more than $30, I'd expect it to be uniquely spiced, flavorful and juicy, but it was rather dry and tasted as like sauce from Panda Express. Their Wagyu beef carpaccio had too many strong flavors so the taste of the beef itself was lost. Heck, it didn't even really have the notable creamy-like texture that wagyu was supposed to have either (likely a lower grade of wagyu, probably somewhere between USDA Choice and Prime). A lot of their items feel gimmicky too: the unagi clay pot came with some seaweed, a seaweed holder, and two small bottles of sauces. The sauces were bland and contributed nothing to the dish. Making your own "hand rolls" with the seaweed did nothing for this dish other than get your hands dirty. I've watched enough Iron Chef back in the day to understand that this is very Morimoto, as he tries to make the dishes fun. The unagi itself was quite nice, though it might be my personal bias. The Halibut we got was overcooked and dry. Yes halibut is a firmer meat, but man this was hard to eat. The best dish was likely the Ishiyaki Buri Bop, which came with some tables idea theatrics. Nevertheless, for the price, you could do much better at a place like Kunjip Tofu in the bay. Overall, a bad experience. Based on the price point, I thought we'd be getting better food and better ambience, but it was overall mediocre - a blemish on the Morimoto name.

We came in right before the restaurant filled out at 10am and got the shakshuka along with a burger and fries. Everything was made perfectly and so flavorful. Some mishaps have happened with service on prior visits but management and servers are always concerned and make it right. That's why I keep coming back. I Popped in Thursday afternoon for Pho. It was not busy only two other couples eating when we arrived. We sat at our usual table And noted service was a bit slow right off the bat. When I received my Pho, which I thought was a longer wait than usual, it was luke warm if that. The Korean ribs and chicken wings arrived temperature appropriate. I pushed my soup aside but no one checked back until my lunch mate finished. When the waiter came to clear the table I asked for a to go and thought he would ask if there was anything wrong. He did not so I told him the Pho was served luke warm so I did not eat it and that no one had checked back or even passed by us or I would have sent it back to heat it up. We were done now so I'd just take it to go. Our waiter apologized and when he brought the bill said The Pho was comped and apologized again for the breakdown in service. When I dine I like to relax and enjoy a meal With who I came with. So receiving temperature appropriate food is important. The KD does a good job. They have a diverse menu with flavorful food and great cocktails. When there is a hiccup in service or the food there is a genuine concern. Sometimes it's caught by them and others it's brought to their attention. It's how things are dealt with when those mishaps happen. The KD addresses your concerns with sincerity and want their diner to have an all around great experience. If you have not been give KD a try when in downtown Napa.
