We hadn't gone here in years. We were actually headed to a different restaurant last night, Mother's Day, and decided to go here instead. Bad choice. 1. When we arrived at 5 PM there was only one other table occupied. I believe I counted eight people seated there. 2. We were seated without menus which came about five minutes later. 3. I ordered Sizzling Rice Soup. I don't know when the rice was added to the soup, but it did not sizzle and the waitress held a plate of rice scraps in her hand. The fun of the soup is the sizzle! 4. Less than five minutes later my meal arrived. I was not done with my soup, so it sat untouched. I finished the cup of soup I was eating and even had another, while my main course continued to sit 5. It was well over five minutes, probably close to 10, before my friend's meal arrived!! I sat there uncomfortably nibbling at my meal so as to not be rude while she sat there with nothing.. 6. Nothing was ever cleared from the table. Huge cold soup bowl right in the center, our empty soup dishes, all of it. Then we started waiting for the check to appear and had to ask for boxes. Meanwhile, the large party got all the staffs attention! We were an afterthought at best. Never ever again will I go to this restaurant! read more

Saturday , May 31, while doing errands, we spontaneously thought about dining in here.. It was our First time.. 12nn, we were seated by the wonderful lady and immediately asked us what we wanted for our drinks, we ordered rootbeer and then for the main dish, we got Lemon Sauce Chicken and Mongolian Beef Spicy with Steamed Rice.. Service was quick, the staff was very efficient, food was delicious.. Love the tenderness of their meat and the softness of the rice.. The staff always checked on us and she was the only person running the whole dining area, from taking the orders, serving the orders and attending to payments.. To each individual dinner we added on a soup of the day (choices were wonton soup or sweet and sour soup), one spring roll and a side of steamed rice for an additional $7. Received two voicemails from this establishment regarding a pick up order that needed to be picked up before the close at 9P - first one at 8:49P and at 9:01P. Whomever placed the order either gave the incorrect number or the establishment misunderstood the numbers provided. After the second call, my initial thought was how kind that they would wait 10 minutes after closing for someone to pick up, and that I'd be courteous enough to call them letting them know that the number they called is the wrong number. But, when I called, the same person who left a voicemail wasn't very nice and sharply said, "they picked up already" followed by an abrupt hang up. While I understand the order was picked up, and that the establishment was eager to close up and go home, that short encounter doesn't make me want to patronize them in the future. read more

My only experience with Dragon Valley so far is through a DoorDash dinner order. We ordered the won ton soup, shrimp fried rice, mu shu shrimp and broccoli beef. The won ton soup never arrived, which was a shame. I'm not sure if it was Dragon Valley's fault or the driver's, but in any case, I can only review the items we received. Everything was tasty. I especially liked the mu shu shrimp, which came with a few "pancake" wraps. The wraps were super thin, so they ended up falling apart the next day when I had to reheat them. Still, everything tasted good. I'd be willing to order from here again. read more

We had a lovely dinner at Dragon Valley in Napa Valley. The restaurant is quiet without any background music which is a pleasant change in such a noisy world. Our server was very friendly and attentive with an infectious smile. Everything came out hot and fresh and was tasty. Our only general note, we would have preferred a lighter touch with the salt. The calamari had a nice breading. The wonton soup was excellent in a light sauce with fresh dumplings. Sizzling beef with black pepper platter had heads turn when they presented the dish -definitely an attention-getter! Nice flavor, tender beef and vegetables. Great customer service here and the food was really good. I wrote a review here already and I had to write another one for dining in. First off the seafood soup is really good, good texture for the seafood and it taste really good since the last time I had it. Today's lunch special I got the fried rice again where it had the same great flavors even without a protein, and my dish was the sweet and sour shrimp, and just like the sweet and sour pork I had last time it was too sweet where I felt sick in my stomach, I was only able to eat it because I ate around the shrimp and ate a lot of rice and soup. Maybe not too much sauce and make it less sweet? Other than that my lunch was really good and satisfying. read more

Solid 3.5 Chinese food. Broccoli Beef had garlic and was properly prepared; best Broccoli Beef of the 3 Chinese restaurant we tried in Napa. Chicken Chow mein had nice amount of vegetables. I NEVER write about restaurants that I occasionally cater or Doordash for. But this example was so insanely abysmal I feel compelled to talk about it. It's Christmas night. And the place is FLOODED. Understandable. What isn't understandable is that the restaurant is pushing out about 1 order every 15 minutes and they dont know who's order is who. Literally 40 people waiting on orders, no orders are leaving the waiting table. I counted 15 orders not going to anyone in the room at one point. The most chaotic and crazy situation then insued that is worthy of Network Television. There had to be customers and delivery drivers rifling through the orders BY HAND because the staff had it so confused. Now you heard that right. We had to go through customers orders MANUALLY BY HAND to figure out who's order is who. When ever we found a corresponding order that they had confused. We openly and audibly celebrated. It was a fucked up version of Bingo at the Action house. I don't know how they fucked up the names and phone numbers so badly. The waiters had 1 job...The worst part is I waited there for the better part of 3 HOURS...Only to have my customer cancel her order. This place needs to get it together. read more

Nearly rancid - but not quite. The chicken was so salty it was nearly inedible. The beef and potstickers had a strange flavor that tasted more like dirty grease than actual food. The pork fried rice was decent but had large chunks of fat which turned every bite into a gamble - Can I swallow it or will I spit the fat back into a napkin.
