Had to pick the whole peppercorns out :(
    Jammir G.

I got the bibimbop... flavors were fine but the only veggies in it were pickled onions and cucumbers. No Kim chee, mushrooms or mushrooms like in the pictures. Also there were literally at least 30 whole black peppercorns. Each bite was torture so I stopped to pick them out. There was a lot of meat so that's nice! The peppercorn lack of veggies thing did me in though... :(

cute reusable cup for the thai tea which was priced great

Besides the beautiful outdoor dining courtyard, the inside houses a sports bar, a VIP dining room, and a casual dining rooms for your selection. As a conneseur of fine, authentic Chinese food, the menu was very impressive. When you see chicken feet on the menu, you know it's authentic! In addition to the chicken feet, we also ordered the Peking duck, mapo tofu, and a few different types of dim sum. (Sorry I wasn't able to post any photos. But I did notice that the menu we saw had a little more than what other customers posted on Yelp.). Bottom line, the food was simply fantastic. Chef's kiss!!! Last, but not least, the staff is phenomenal. We were waited on by 3 different employees, each of whom gave impeccable service. Although all 3 were great, we have to give a special shout out to Jesse. He shared his creativity with us from his delicious cocktail creations to his AI-generated memory photos, which IMO would be any customer's novel reminder of their wonderful dining experience at Empress M. We will definitely be back!

It was also wonderful to see the owner greeting guests and making everyone feel welcome. We will definitely be back!

Even for the ones I didn't eat until towards the end of the meal, there was still a good amount of soup inside that didn't get absorbed by the meat or wrap. You order at a tablet, located at each table, for dine in orders. You can also specify if you want certain items to go, which was perfect because we were eating some things there and taking some items to family. We ordered the following for there: Pork XLB, Shrimp Pork Shaomai, Garlic Green Beans, and Chocolate XLB. The following was ordered to go: Wonton Soup, Pork Bun & BBQ Pork Bun. It's not a huge space, most of the tables are on the left side of the restaurant. A large portion is the food prep / behind the counter area. I had the milk tea to drink. It was fine, nothing special, but I hadn't had one in a while so I enjoyed it with my meal. I also thought the Chocolate XLB was interesting. It was melted/gooey chocolate inside the skin/wrap. It was a nice finish to the meal. I think most of the items were more a 4 for me, but since I loved the XLB so much, it's a 5 rating.

The green beans were fried just right as they were still crispy. There was lots of garlic so they were very flavorful. They were stir fried in oil, however were not overly greasy. The Xiao Long Bao must be eaten with a spoon to prevent the broth from spilling out or burning your mouth upon consumption. Orders are placed using the tablet at the table. Water is self serve. If you order over $65, a free drink is provided. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant is incredibly clean--seriously, clean, clean, clean--and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. The servers are attentive, very nice, and friendly, which makes the experience even better. Seating is somewhat limited, but they do a great job accommodating everyone. I also noticed a lot of customers coming in for pick-up orders, which says a lot about how popular this place is. The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous--you definitely get plenty for your order. They specialize in dim sum and are especially known for their soup dumplings (xiao long bao), including the popular Crab & Pork Xiao Long Bao. Other favorites include their pan-fried buns, BBQ pork buns, beef rolls, wontons in chili oil, and noodle dishes. Everything is flavorful and satisfying. The location is also super convenient--right across from HomeGoods. If you find yourself hungry after a hectic shopping trip (like I was!), BaoBao is definitely the place to go. Great food, friendly service, and a clean, welcoming environment make it a spot worth visiting. Doris S.

Inside is spacious with lovely lego sets displayed around the area. The family who runs the restaurant are very nice, and our food came out about 20-25 minutes after. For a good price with generous serving size, we were very satisfied. There were also so many take-out orders that were happening at the same time, so I really appreciate the service being able to handle it all! I would definitely recommend!

If you can set aside the San Tung benchmark and just let this place be what it is, you'll likely walk away pretty satisfied. It's a decent spot with a respectable wing, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

I totally was that weird kid who ate strange food growing up. I would rather eat lobster or…read moreartichokes than chicken or green beans, and given the choice I'd gladly eat my body weight in dim sum over basically any other food. That hasn't changed at all for me as an adult! In Sonoma county there was really just one place with dim sum, and lots of people wanted more options. I tried other restaurants with their dim sum adjacent menus, but they were pretty mediocre and mostly focused on fried pot stickers or the occasional steamed siu mai. Once I heard fantasy was starting a true dim sum menu, I knew we had to try it. The day we arrived I was solidly in my third trimester of pregnancy and getting around was a chore, but that wasn't going to keep me from dim sum. We were the only guests the whole time on the day we went there, which was weird to me given how good the food ended up being! Service was great, super friendly and just lovely folks. The restaurant was clean and we'll organized, and the menu was a good mix of traditional favorites and some trendy BAO for the insta. We ordered a little of everything , which to me is why dim sum is so fun. Food came out super fast, and we tucked right in. Surprisingly to me, my favorite dish is one hubs picked on a whim, the spicy won tons. The flavors and textures were on point, and even with pregnancy heartburn, the spice on these things was well worth it. Super delicious. I felt the pandan and black sesame bao were overly trendy for my taste, but I'm sure those who are new to dim sum could see these options as easy introduction into the food. Really good experience here with very tasty food, nice people and quality dishes. I'm still getting over the idea of expensive dim sum because of growing up eating it in SF with low costs in a humble setting, but for this overall experience I felt the prices were fine. I will definitely be back, and eager to try the rest of the items on their menu.

Not seeing any vegetables, I asked where they were. I was told there were onions and bean sprouts mixed in the with noodles. The whole thing was a yellow-brown color. I saw no sauce of any kind and when I took a bite the noodles were a bit tough and it was flavorless. I added some packaged soy sauce and chili paste and that helped a bit. I did find a couple of slices of celery (?) at the bottom. What a disappointment. I have eaten at the nearby Empress M Restaurant (though not "noodles with vegetables") and enjoyed the food. I ended up taking those noodles home, cooking them a bit more, and making a peanut sauce to put on them. I won't order from them again.
