This one is manager error for sure especially not ordering enough eggs. This is not good. I asked to talk to a manager and she said there wasn't one there. This has been terrible experience at the one on Southern in Mesa awful.

I fail to understand why it is on us for this location's stocking issue (which I can say is prevalent with a lot of Cava's I've been to, but that's another thing).

His response: "I just don't cook." Her food still wasn't ready, so she had to keep waiting. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa, which cost $9.55 but was only about three-quarters full in the wine glass. Why serve it like that? It just felt skimpy. After finishing my drink, I sat for another 10 minutes waiting to close out my tab. This was actually my second visit. We came once before for dinner with friends since we all live in Mesa and thought the concept was cool and close to home. Unfortunately, the service then was just as bad, even with more staff on shift. I had hoped stopping in for a quick drink would be a better experience -- but sadly, it wasn't. I won't be back. I would rate it 4 stars because the food is pretty good, a bit stingy on the meat however. Over all still like going there. The Thai Basil beef is my favorite. Wish they would add in more meat though. Over all I would still recommend it to anyone in the area. The Staff is incredibly friendly, so the service is very excellent! Don't read into the "express" part of the name. It is nothing like fast food Chinese although it is quick. The food is as good as any sit down joint. Everything is always very flavorful and all the meat including chicken, pork, and beef is of higher quality without the chewy factor that a lot of Chinese food restaurants seem to struggle with. I highly recommend the specialty lo mien, Kung Pao Chicken, and the sweet chili sauce is incredible. read more
