Smash’n Pizza - Onion smash burger (double Pattie)

Smash’n Pizza

(32 reviews)

Another one of those annual holiday get togethers with friends. This year we visited Smash'N Pizza…read more(former location of Nonna Marie's). Smash'N Pizza a great little upbeat neighborhood pizzeria on Union Blvd. In Totowa feels fun from the second you walk in. It's the kind of spot that's just as good for a casual slice as it is for a laid‑back burger with friends. The room is limited in size but buzzing, with bright red and black splashed across the walls, a few chairs and tables, and décor carefully planned so the whole space feels energetic and modern. Logos and graphics are scattered throughout, giving the restaurant a playful, branded vibe that makes it look and feel like a cool little Italian hangout rather than a typical slice joint. Pizza, which we shared as an appetizer is the star, with pies that come out hot, crisp, and flavorful, piled with fresh toppings if that's your choice, and a sauce that tastes like it was made that morning. As for me, I always prefer a plain cheese pie. Right alongside the pizza, the burgers were surprisingly fantastic too, juicy and well‑seasoned, and the menu branches out into plenty of other tempting choices to accomodate everyone's taste. I tried the double cheeseburger, along with fries and onion rings, and would certainly recommend giving it a try. Service and hospitality were on point, quick and friendly. And being greeted like a regular, even on my first visit, and checking in often without hovering was appreciated. The overall atmosphere made the place feel welcoming and relaxed, turning a quick lunch into the kind of experience people look forward to repeating. BTW: Smash'N Pizza is a BYOB and has off street free parking. Thank you to Roberto (Robert) and staff for a nice afternoon. We will certainly be back. 12/13/2025

Cute little cafe place has unique decorations their tables were doors, chair hanging on the wall…read moreand their bathrooms were in the back of the kitchen. Which we had to exit out and go to the back just to use the bathroom and their dishes with ok it's more of the waiting. It was so small Me & family took over the whole seating area it wasn't much to begin with. But they definitely wasn't expecting that huge of a group to come in all at once. Some of the dishes were unique and tasty. These are some of the dishes we got - Mozzarella Sticks - Zucchini Sticks - Chicken Fingers - Qeema with Paratha [ Patistani Bread , chicken qeema, salad and mint sauce] - Reg waffle [huge] - Paratha Omelet [3 eggs, onions, green chilies, tomatoes, coriander] plus patistani bread on the side - Chai with Almond milk - Wings and fries which waited for the longest time [almost an hour] and it was still raw inside smh Overall this place was ok. The service wasn't even the greatest nor the food. Which it was quite a disappointment. My nieces food was uncooked and they only gave her a free milkshake as an apologize. I don't think we be coming back here again. When i asked one of the staff what is this wthat comes with the paratha Omelet and the staff gave me an attitude and said it's patistani bread like i should have known. It wasn't even listed on their menu that's why i asked. It's a cute place but with their rude attitude, uncooked food. No thanks
