The self order kiosk is easy to figure out for selecting your pizza. The large margarita pizza was tasty & I order the next size up next time. Using olive oil instead of tomato sauce lets the tomatoes & basil stand out on the crispy crust. We were there dining for the Mills fund raiser night. My daughter really enjoyed the small arcade room for entertainment.

    Meatball Sandwich w/Chips

Went today to eat, took 45 mins to get food. Which is not bad for a Friday night, but when the food arrived it was awful. The sandwiches had nothing in them.. I could see bread on each side of the bread. My son's meatball sandwich had slices of meatballs that probably added up to 3 meat balls total for the whole sandwich, was dry with barely any sauce. Asked the staff if the sandwiches looked right because they looked absolutely nothing like the pictures and was told, yep they weight out the meat. I could have gotten a better sandwich at subway and paid half the price! Total $31.90 for these two sandwiches, two bags of chips, and 1 fountain drink.

Total flashback to my early twenties yesterday; remembering the old location in Oak Hill. I used to arrive right around the same time as the Motorola crowd and mingle in so I could get their discount. $5 got you the full buffet spread. Jumping forward to yesterday and the $9 price tag was worth the trip thanks to the fare and some firsts that came about. I instantly hit the pepperoni rolls and the cheese steak stromboli. The rolls haven't changed a bit. The stromboli was delicious; but seemed to be missing a spice that used to make it unbeatable. The pizza was good especially the chicken with garlic and the veggie with thin crust. Salad bar was fresh but the blue cheese dressing could have been better. Now onto the highlights. I've never given little Rooster any kind of pizza. I'm thinking he likes bread and cheese. I started him off with some cheese sticks which he happily ate. He tried but failed to chomp one of the pepperoni rolls. The best part came at the end when I gave him one of the dessert slices. The pie slice covered in cinnamon and sugar with tiny chocolate chips was his first bites of chocolate. With tiny fingers swooping thru the little chips; he had brown goo from cheek to cheek. He then proceeded to scrape the topping right off the crust until he was smiling and happy. Yea Daddy! I honestly thought Double Daves was completely gone; replaced by that rockband tomato place. I then saw the sign just off the road at the corner of Wm. Cannon and Brodie and drove right in. Its been years since we last visited; the kiddo and I will see ya again real soon

Luckily, they offer plenty of other slices, so there's something for just about every preference. I also love that you can mix and match slices to create a colorful, Instagram-worthy spread. It makes the whole experience feel a little more fun. The wine bar inside is another highlight, with a great selection that pairs perfectly with the pizza. I usually end up ordering at least two glasses. There's often a line on Friday and Saturday nights, so be prepared to wait. It helps to have one person grab a seat inside or outside while someone else stays in line.

We waited about 30 mins to place our order abd it took about an hr to receive it. It was a quick easy method to play your order at the booth. Everything is self serve. It was quite hot outside and seats are limited for the indoor a.c at the adjoining bar. The pizza was great when it did come. The pepp and pep was my fave but my husband loved the cheese. I will say the most disappointing thing was the water. We always find it perplexing when a restaurant served seemingly high quality food but provides trash unfiltered water. It makes us really then question the quality of the food.

We paid, got the buzzer for the table, and picked where we wanted to sit with no issues as there weren't very many people there because it was after the lunch rush. My husband ordered the Pepperoni Pizza and I ordered the Fat Queen. The Pepperoni Pizza was good. The Pepperonis were small and tasty. The Fat Queen was just as good. It comes with Pepperoni, Soppressata, and Italian Sausage. I really liked the flavor of all of the meat in the marinara sauce plus the pizza crust is light and fluffy. Overall Pieous is a great place to get some good pizza. The service and pizza were good. I suggest going at an off time that isn't the typical lunch or dinner time.

Make note of their hours as well because they are closed in middle of day. 4-8pm I'm the afternoon does not give a big window to choose your dining time. But the restaurant checks all the boxes. Great ambience. Fun indoor and outdoor seating. Tasty food. Big outdoor space for little ones to play. Convenient location. Decent pricing. The salads are served on big trays which makes sharing easy (even when I didn't really want to share my yummy tossed salad with toasted garbanzo beans and Chunks of fresh mozzarella and a super yummy dressing. The pasta and pizza tasted really good. From an owner of a few pizza places in Houston, I was disappointed in the crispness of the dough. I don't care for pizza that can hold its shape when being held. But if I just told myself it was bread instead- I enjoyed it. It was really the pasta and salad for me. We didn't try too much because we were actually surprised it was open. Many friends mentioned the desserts were to die for. Even Guy on DDD mentioned the caramel rolls were what cinnamon rolls wish they could be. He also LOVED the pastrami sandwiches. So I'd i could do a 1-10 scale I'd give it a 9 for the extra work we had to put in to align with their limited open hours and for the soggy crust. But highest marks on the rest. They also have a room you can rent out in the back or the restaurant and good parking. Next time you want pie- Give pieous a try

As an unapologetic East Coast pizza snob, I usually approach Texas pizza with a massive amount of…read moreskepticism. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.

They're especially known for their Roman-style pizza so I highly recommend giving it a try. As for flavors, you really can't go wrong but the standouts for me were the Potato, Chicken Parm and Lasagna slices. They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone. The pizza is priced by the slice, which makes it easy to mix and match like I did, though you can also order a full pie. I will say this definitely isn't cheap pizza, but you're absolutely paying for quality ingredients and incredible flavor. I ended up taking mine to go, but they do have a few tables inside and outside if you want to dine in. With plenty of parking, fast service and mind-blowing flavors what more could you ask for from a pizza spot?
