First time at this new location and its refurbished nicely. Having been to several of their other locations, first thing I noticed was the 1 page menu. Making a choice is now easier, but probably only about 1/2 of the menu is available (probably for the better). Order the St Louis Chicken sub with chicken noodle soup and fries. Everything came out hot and was tasty. Cub was a little dry, so honey mustard cured that. Wife had banana pancakes and tasted like other locations, so the consistency seems to be there. read more

This must be my favorite diner in the area. We found this when Weight Watchers didn't have accommodations on a Sunday morning. It has such an old school feel, like the place you'd meet up with your friends after school. Love it! From the aesthetics, to the employees, to the food, I hope this place never changes. I've had the Double T breakfast, the spinach and mushroom omelet, hot chocolate, and strawberry milkshake. Every thing has been yummy. read more

Came here on a weekend, 5 minute wait for 3. Not bad most places in Laurel is at least 20-30 mins. Great decor, menu is regular diner food. Dont expect to find something out of the ordinary. Service was nice but a little slow. Food flavor is really bland (no spices, salt or pepper) and their hot sauce is tabasco. Coffee is decent. read more

Great food!! Great service! Amazing value and quality food.. we stopped in on our way home to virginia. Totally worth the stop!

Should have read the reviews before deciding to come here for lunch. The positive note is that this place is still new. Our server was fast. The food was just blech!! I asked for a medium rare cheeseburger, I got half burnt dry, tasteless burger with wilted green beans ( I asked for veggies instead of fries). My friend's chicken was bland. I was super excited to find a double T close to home but sadly, I will not come back read more

The absolute worst food I've had in a long time. Shame on you all for serving us frozen crap. A Swanson's frozen meal, nuked in the microwave, would have been tastier and cheaper. Ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes, chose crab soup and caesar salad as the sides. I honestly didn't know if the crab morsels were fresh and the broth had an unusual saltiness to it, that made me wonder how old this soup was. The caesar salad, chopped romaine, a sprinkle of parm cheese and the worst dressing I've ever tasted - stale, salty and odd. Meatloaf arrived and it looked and tasted like frozen, fake, cheap meat of some sort. The mash of potatoes seemed like the real deal, served alongside frozen, heated corn. Don't even get me started on their lemon meringue pie. I begged my husband not to get dessert, but he said he had to cleanse his palate. Did he? NO! A mop top of nothing tasting like meringue, sliding off a gummy lemon colored, dense something, having no lemon flavor to it. Yuck and never again read more

This is the second time I've been to this location and the second time it was a great visit. I have an adult son who is blind and uses a walker and during both of our visits for our mother son date day, the staff has been accommodating. We've gotten seats as close to the front door as possible and our server, who was the same both times, takes great care of us. During this past visit, we both got Elvis waffles but with modifications. I got mine without ice cream, and my son got his with strawberries instead of bananas. They even gave him a scoop of strawberry ice cream with his scoops of vanilla ice cream (it came with all vanilla ice cream originally). The waffles were light and fluffy and we were impressed that the bacon part was real bacon. The sides of sausage are massive. I expected standard sized sausage links but these were sausage links on steroids lol. Needless to say this is our breakfast spot and I say that proudly. read more

I love visiting this diner when I'm visiting my friend who lives in Laurel. I had two different experiences with the same server. Kudos to our server, Orlando, who was very attentive during the slow afternoon on Friday and still showed the same patience and attentiveness on Saturday morning when it was very crowded and busy. The food is great and you receive large portions. Bring a big appetite. Keep smiling, Orlando. --Charlotte Spencer read more

I wanted a sandwich, so I ordered ahead for pick up on the website. It was fast and easy pick up. When I ate my food of the Triple decker club turkey sandwich, it was very dry and had no taste. I gave the place a try but I did NOT like it. read more

I went here the other day I ordered a chicken Omelette got my food there was no chicken in it just plain Omelette not even cheese spoke to the server he made a mistake I said no problem he offered to fix it but I split food with the other half so there was no need to I said I would take the plane Omelette home to my dogs instead of trashing it the server said ok went to go pay my bill and the Restaurant Manager came up said if I take the Omelette I need to pay for it I said politely I did not mess up the order u guys did but I even left a nice tip at the table but the manager thought the server under the bus and said he messed up . I would not go here again the manager was not friendly and did not care at all he just wanted his money and that was it poor management service very poor and rude. If I wasn't already having a bad day due to my dog having cancer I would have told him off but two wrongs don't make a right. The server was a nice young man has a sleeve tattoo very cool and honest I forgot his name but awesome guy the big manager not so friendly he needs to find a dest job somewhere and not at a dinner... read more

The food was average the vibe wasn't giving but the overall experience very decent I wouldn't recommend for young couples.

So the experience was terribly disappointing, the waitress was nice, the food ok and the portions a little unusual. I walked in as the hostess was stepping away to seat a couple ahead of me. At that point I was standing at the hostess station looking around at how different and new it looked compared to the old Silver Diner. There were staff to my right, my front and to my left and not a single person greeted me. Another waitress even came over to look at something at the hostess station and didn't greet me. This went on for at least five minutes. It wasn't until the guy doing the plate prep (!) from the kitchen came over, greeted me and asked where I'd like to sit. After both of us looked around and noticed a lot of the seats were full, I chose to sit at the counter. He put the menus down for me. Now, I'm seated at the counter, as in smack dab in the middle of primary walking paths. There was a waitress on the kiosk to my right, a couple staff people bustling behind the counter, and a waitress to my left at the other kiosk and not a single person greeted me or gave any indicator that I would be attended to anytime soon. This was at least another six minutes. I have time to notice that the placemat, the napkin and knife, and the menu in front of me were dirty. Finally, the waitress who had the counter came over really apologetic saying they were short staffed and almost tried to escape just taking my drink order. Anyway, I ordered and waited another bizarre almost seven minutes for a glass of juice and water. I say bizarre because I'm sitting at the counter of a diner. Juice fridges are kept right where I'm sitting. My waitress comes back, brings a clean placemat, pours the juice and brings my water and lets me know that she put my order in right away because she felt bad I was waiting so long. The food comes out, and I was a little underwhelmed by the French toast (four triangles = two slices of bread) and almost stunned by the turkey sausage (humongous!) Luckily the French toast tasted good and I ate one sausage. I would have happily traded one of those sausages for another slice of bread. From there on, the waitress was really on point. Refilled my water glass, noticed I needed a to go box, brought the bill at the same time as the box, etc. I got up, paid and left. Again, a lot of people around, not a single "Thanks for dining!" "Come back soon!" or anything. So strange. With tip it came out about $14. For food that isn't organic and such a bad experience, I won't be back. read more

Annoyed! Used Grubhub and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with soup and fries. No bacon and no soup. Like...it's a BACON cheeseburger! How do you not include the bacon?! Ordered Spaghetti with soup and salad. No soup and the salad was super wilted. The rest of the order was correct. read more

Absolutely terrible! Don't waste your time! People and service are atrocious. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. We left and ended up not ordering anything bc our waitress made us feel uncomfortable with her mannerisms and inability to offer any type of service. Her manager was even worse. Save your money and get something from Wawa - seriously. read more

I have been here about 4 times now. They are usually pretty good and accommodating. I went on Presidents' Day and they were definitely overwhelmed and understandably so...the parking lot was packed and I kind of expected them to have some issues. There was nothing that they didn't fix immediately and I'm proud of this staff for working hard to provide a great level of customer service. The food is consistently good and I will continue to patronize this establishment. read more

Traveling again after the pandemic and need to kick it up a notch to get to 500 reviews. So intend to shy away from 3 star eateries but no others topped this place. Plus I have a hard time not visiting a stainless steel standalone diner (I'm from NJ and you cannot expect less). I strolled in to a somewhat busy business which is very clean and put together. The TVs on the walls have cable on but a nice touch is the inviting photos of entrees that cycle. Yum. The counter is a small one but I bellied up there and ordered coffee and a late healthy breakfast of egg whites and avocado, hash browns and wheat toast. The food came fairly quickly but my waitress wasn't the friendliest and lacked simple manners like "you're welcome". What stood out and I did not like was my bread slices going in the toaster in front of me when my plate was delivered. Also, I had to request my side salsa for my eggs two times after my eggs were delivered and getting cold. Note that I did order it with everything when my waitress entered the order in the system. She got friendlier near the end and the rest of the staff and owners were super friendly to make up for it. The meal was tasty and if there was a 3 and a half star that would be my final answer. Until Yelp offers that up, I'll give 4 stars hoping my waitress has a better day to express upon others. read more

The food here is wonderful, I eat here every week, but today I seen something I did not like. The owner of the building took it upon himself to tell one of his employees that if she continues to wear a scent she wears she's fired & no longer employed there & might I add that the young lady in question has waited on me before & the scent is very light! He yelled at her with no compassion & in front of the entire restaurant! That scene that I got this morning has left a nasty taste in my mouth & I hope she gets to keep her job! Lovely lady read more

My family comes here for family get togethers! I love the friendly dinner feels that we get here. We had Victor today and he was so awesome to have my Italian bowl remade for me when it was accidentally made with onions in it... diet restrictions are a tricky thing! The kitchen fixed it so quickly I had time to eat my meal with the rest of the family! I really like the variety of the menu! And the desserts are scrumptious!!! The desserts are sitting in front of the entry way and are so deliciously tempting that I always plan my dessert before my entree... but I get so full I never make it... but I can still take it home!!! Breakfast, brunch, lunch, linner, and dinner this venue has something for everybody! And yes, lots of fruits and veggies choices as well! The staff is attentive and friendly. I also appreciate that you never feel rushed or like they are kicking you out to make room for a new client, which makes you feel welcomed and you have time to socialize with my group. Savory, sweet, healthy, or indulgently overboard ... the Diner has me covered! read more

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF EMPLOYEES! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY!!! We wish we could give 0.00001 stars. This review is more about management than the food or the service. Food is ok but a bit pricey for a diner of this level. Our concern is David the owner and how he treats employees. We used to visit Double T Diner weekly on Sunday mornings. That was until today July 24, 2022. Our usual server, we'll call her "Mrs. Lady" to protect her from retaliation, is one of many great servers in the diner and the primary reason we continue to visit the diner. However, the treatment that the serving staff receives constantly from David is atrocious. We've witnessed this several times and have even seen tears from employees' eyes as David says "F*ck You!" to them loud enough for customers to hear. Today was more than we could bear. We specifically asked to be seated in Mrs. Lady's section and the hostess lady (an older lady usually in a jacket and glasses) seemed to be upset that we asked to be seated in a different section than she showed us. This turned into the hostess complaining to an assistant manager (we think it's David's sister or sister-in-law) who then began verbally abusing Mrs. Lady. We then noticed David being rude to her as well. This went on our entire visit. We checked on Mrs. Lady and she was trying to hide the pain, but that made it worse. We noticed the assistant manager following Mrs. Lady around trying to "ear hustle" our conversation and then went back and reported to David. We then asked another waitress to get David so we could quietly voice our concerns. David immediately raised his voice in an arrogant, disrespectful, and defensive tone trying to blame employees for his poor management style and his continuous belittlement of employees. As we were walking out, 3 (yes three) other servers thanked us for speaking up and told of how they are rudely and unfairly treated by David. We will definitely stop back through to see how Mrs. Lady is being treated, but we refuse to patronize Double T diner again until we verify that there are some extreme improvements in how employees are treated. These are the people we saw continually working throughout the pandemic to help keep that business from closing like so many others have. Bottom line, the Double T owner and management need customers and employees to exist. We and the employees do not deserve or need to be treated the way David treats people. It would behoove David to learn this, apologize, and act accordingly. If you decide to visit this establishment, please be cognizant of this treatment and say something when this happens. It takes customers to change the way employees are treated when the Owners/Managers act as if they are infallible and untouchable. read more

I sat down at the counter to place my take out order. I went with the Double T Breakfast special which comes with 2 eggs any style 2 buttermilk pancakes OR Two French Toast with pork sausage (2), 2 slices of bacon and home fries. I knew I was going to place 2 orders so I had already told Renee that I wanted the pancake order. Next, I was going to order another pancake order or French toast. Before placing my next order I asked Renee the waitress if the french toast comes with Challah bread or regular bread. She says, "do you want the pancakes or French toast"? Now Im automatically in defense mode because what I needed for her to do was answer my question. I let her know i'm placing 2 orders but the next order is based off whether Challah bread is used for the french toast or not. She said yes, so I told her to go ahead and give me 1 order of the Double T with pancakes and the other with French Toast. Renee rings up my order then brings me my receipt to tell me I can pay for my meal at the front. As I sat and waited for my order, the manager David happened to come by to ask me if I wanted anything to drink while I waited. I told him I would have a water. He said you sure no coffee? Its complimentary. I let him know this was my first time here and I wasn't aware of the complimentary coffee because I was never informed by Renee. In the background Renee tells him she hasn't had a chance to get to me yet to offer me a drink because she had a lot of people. I let them know that wasn't true because if she had time to take my order and provide me with a receipt, that was her chance to ask me if I would like a drink while I waited. The couple next to me who had arrived after me had received coffee. She said that was because they asked for it. She may have missed the point. As that is her job, whether I asked or not, if your establishment offers free coffee, juice, water, whatever, she had plenty of time from when she took my order to then giving me my receipt to say "Would you like a drink while you wait"? Heck that's just common courtesy, I ask people that when they come to my house. Although she was apologetic and I had accepted her apology she kept mentioning that the couple who came after me asked for the coffee and in regards to me asking about the French toast, she couldn't hear because the restaurant was loud. David was really great at handling the situation, he too was apologetic and offered me something sweet for free, I declined and thanked him. As I sat a little while longer, I looked over at the delicious cakes they had and then took him up on his offer. The layered cake I had was like a mixture of yellow cake, chocolate cake and cheese cake. It was pretty good and moist. When I got home, I got a chance to eat my food and that was pretty good as well. Despite my initial experience, I would go back and try other dishes on the menu. Thank you David for making sure you did not have an unhappy customer, I shall return. read more

The food and service was exquisite!! I purchased the 3 Egg Sensational Omelette with Spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers; however, I was charge $2.00 for egg whites and another $3.00 for green peppers and onions. Pro: 3 stars because we love the crab cakes benedict and service. The Indian male server was super nice & one female black server was very helpful. She kept refilling our drinks. Con: There is a strange bad smell/odor in the restaurant that was bothering me. I thought it was just me who smelled it the first time I went there. The 2nd time I went there, I took my wife with me. After we stepped out of the restaurant my wife said "Did you smell the bad odor inside the restaurant?" The male white manager needs to smile & greet other races too not just white customers. Redo your menu, it is confusing to read & please add photos. Too much text! Copy silver diner menu. The layout of the place is really wierd, I don't why I felt weird eating there. Honestly my best friend and I only ended up here because Chido's across the street had over an hour wait. When we arrived it was not crowded, maybe 4 other parties. We were seated somewhat immediately. We ordered drinks: amaretto sour for my friend and a Pima colada for me. Both drinks were not very good. My best friend ordered hot wings. They arrived cold and had to get sent back. Our entrees were good: Philly cheesesteak and patty melt meal. We had to ask the server several times to bring us items like water, napkins, sauces. It also felt like they were trying to rush us out due to them being close to closing time. I will not be returning here read more
