Really good tour led by Jason, who was very upbeat and knowledgeable. Did the tour at the start of our trip which gave us a preview of the city; additional places to check out, and how neighborhoods intertwined. A few tips: - Don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen if you plan to sit on the upper deck. -If you're tall, consider sitting on the left side of the upper deck to reduce the chance of getting hit in the head by low branches. -Bring cash in case you'd like to tip at the end (optional). -If you're hearing impaired, arrive early to increase your chances of getting a seat up front (on upper deck) closer to the guide. Despite being mic'd, there were times it was a bit challenging to hear. -If you get a single loop trip, you're better off staying on the bus the whole tour. If you get off at any of the stops, you won't be able to hop back on. Have an open mind and have fun!

We learned a lot about Austin on this tour. It is a very efficient way to get to know the city. Just watch out for the tree branches if you sit on top deck . The meet up office has a good selection of souvenirs with resting area and restrooms. Parking garage is in the same building just walk around the corner.

I went on this tour on Sunday 5/1/22. It was worth every second of my time, and every penny that the ticket cost. A shout-out to Richard the guy on the mic, and the driver, whose name I cannot remember unfortunately. I learned and saw so much about Austin, took some amazing pictures, and because of all of the great info. I leared, now have some ideas as to what I'd like to see and visit on my next trip to ATX. With gratitude, Scott

Nice little shop! The workers are so polite! And the duck adventures is super entertaining! Missed out on double decker bus tour but next time I'm going on it. Everyone was so nice. And the restrooms are fairly clean. Very nice.

The parental units were in town and we decided to take the Double Decker tour. I've lived in Austin off and on all my life and love my city. Mom graduated from UT and has a special fondness for the city, as well. We really enjoyed the tour - everyone was really nice, helpful and the tour was very informative. Although I didn't learn anything new, this is definitely something that's fun for everyone and I highly would suggest any newcomers to the city or visitors to go ahead and enjoy a tour! They offer a "hop on, hop off" price that I'd reccomend, as well, if you're new to Austin - get off, look around, learn more about the city and what it has to offer and it's wonderful history.

Tom was an amazing guide. Thank you for the tour. Even as an Austin resident, I learned new things.

We have learned that taking the VIP bus is more our speed. We can have a drink on the bus and the group is usually pretty cool. They are so organized. We arrive at the pickup spot, check in, have a drink and it's all done seamlessly. Hannah was a great bus host. She's spot on keeping us informed where we are and what to do when we arrive. She goes over rules and policies related to being on the river and trespassing rules. They always do a great job and I'll be doing it again next year.

Do not book their rafting tour. Definitely don't be like us and maybe plan your whole trip around…read moreit? We followed all of the instructions, including being ready to check in at 10:30 at BBG's. A group of about 10 of us stayed there until 12pm and called it. Absolutely ridiculous. Multiple phone calls to the tour company with no response. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was so disappointing. We really were looking forward to this, and specifically came to Austin for tubing (versus the other idea for a trip we had which was the beach. In hindsight, we should've flown to California instead. No one would be able to forget us that way.) Other companies had their groups successfully picked up and whisked away by their tour vans. (austin detours was one). We flew here and bought a 12 pack for 2 of us and ended up lugging around cans of beer through downtown Austin for no reason. If our trip was a little bit longer this might be less disappointing. However, I couldn't recommend this company. Unless you wanted to wait an hour for zero reason at all. At least if I booked Austin detours I'd be on the river. It just makes me so sad thinking about the multiple groups of us sitting around at that bar waiting for essentially no reason and no communication. Do not. Book. The river raft.

I actually went on this exact tour about 1 year ago & realized he was the same guy! We went on a slightly different tour than we did last year though. This time we stopped at the library, & it's BEAUTIFUL. My mother said "I could spend all day in here - you just don't want to leave." The woman doesn't even read...!! Started down "dirty 6th street," then the library, then around to different landmarks. One of them was the cemetery which was gorgeous & Doug said you absolutely have to come back. Our tour guide was really nice and friendly. Our group consisted of just the three of us so it was essentially a private tour. It was in a comfortable enclosed van so we didn't have to worry about any of the outdoor elements. We got some history and insights of the city, a nice comfortable ride, and were able to get out and stretch our legs. If you prefer a more traditional tour, this is an excellent option.
