This menu is so fun! If your craving gourmet food, this is not the place, but if you are looking for a fun, innovative, and unhealthy menu with unique takes on Asian cuisine, this is for you! The plating on some of the dishes was so fun and picturesque. We didn't get drinks or desserts this time but the nearby tables had beverages that lit up! There are a couple dozen menu items I'd like to try so I will definitely be back.

What a fun menu! Modern twist on Asian classics and then some. How about some boozy boba? You betcha, that's on the menu. Capri Sun style pouches with juices and soju...yep, got that too. So it's not only about the food at this cool restaurant. Located in the heart of Chinatown, it's the place to be for lunch, dinner or drinks galore. This was my first time dining here and there'll be many firsts each visit in the future. The menu was quite extensive and there were many classic noodle and rice plates but with a spin. The rave was the cubed toast but I couldn't resist ordering other goodies. Really, I wanted to order half of it just to try. Ha ha The goods I did get: - kimchi noodles with pork belly. Nice amount of heat in this dish. The noodles were delicious and topped with pieces of pork belly that had the right amount of fat and meat ratio. It's an awesome dish. - Shin ramen stir fry, yep - served with the tub looking like the noodles spilled onto the plate. It's just too cute. Very savory and comes topped with assorted vegetables. - poutine and cheese (secret ingredient I couldn't figure out), some kind of cream sauce added to this melty goodness. There's a nice cheese pull on this dish. - Spam and egg sandwich, sounds simple enough but it's next level...a sweet glaze was used on this that compliments the Spam. Don't like spam? No problem, you can choose ham, bacon or skip the meat. Drinks were all fantastic: we had a Yuzu, a lemon, and a matcha drink. The Thai Iced Tea didn't disappoint. Will totally return next time I'm in Boston again, hopefully with more peeps so I can sample more food. This is a must try!

We used to come here all the time when I lived in the city and it did not disappoint coming back! The portions are huge and everything we had was delicious. Service was super quick and it was a straightforward, no frills location. Highly recommend everything we got, especially the scallion pancakes! Everything was hot from the kitchen and super fresh.

Double Chin is an Asian fusion restaurant with many interesting and innovative menu options. It's always quite busy which is a good sign as well. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 7/10 Average size restaurant in Chinatown with a decent amount of seating for 40-50. It's always bustling inside which gives it a nice vibe. SERVICE: 6/10 I won't be overly harsh here since there was literally only one waitress/server and she was being bombarded everywhere at all the tables. However, it literally took 30 minutes for us to get our check. That's a little too much to ask even if she was doing her best. They need more staffing. FOOD: 7/10 Tteok Bokki - 7/10 - About average for tteok bokki. Not overpowering spiciness but also not super sweet either. I do like the modern touch of cheese over the top which is trending these days. I thought this was a decent dish, but not one that I would specifically come here for. Peking Duck Fries - 7/10 - One of the more unique dishes here. French fries topped with Peking duck and hoisin sauce. I thought this was a decent combination that was good, but not the excellence of fusion. The fries worked with the duck but did not really make it better than the traditional dish. Matcha Ma Callit Toast - 8/10 - Hong Kong style French toast with a bunch of toppings and several scoops of matcha ice cream. This is definitely sized for a group to eat but I thought it was a great dessert with a random smattering of food. VALUE: 5/10 Dishes are pretty expensive, even for Boston. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 5/10 Ultimately, despite a unique menu, there's not much here that is clamoring for my return. TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT: No hard recommendation from me. Overall so so. OVERALL: 6/10

A restaurant with fun takes of modern Chinese food. The menu is eclectic and unlike anything else I have seen in the area.

This is a no frill type of place. I thought from instagram and stuff the vibe inside would be better. The menu is very unique so it took a minute to make a selection. The service was pretty good...no complaints there I played it safe with the siracha chicken bites and the garlic ramen noodles but I recommend venturing into the menu a bit more. We shared 2 dishes as we weren't starving but 2 people can easily split 3 fun dishes.

What a nice little place in Bostons Chinatown. We had kimchi fried rice, XO sautéed rice rolls(which were wide noodles rolled up with bean sprouts) and garlic charred edamame. It all was really good but a little expensive. and our server didn't know what the Yelp check in offer was for so we didn't get it. Thanks for our first dinner in Boston.

I finally came to this restaurant after hearing so much about it from my friends. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 6 pm and had no trouble grabbing a table. Initially they wanted to seat us at a high table but seeing as there were plenty of other regular height tables, we requested for that and were met with no resistance. We went to family style and ordering and therefore tried their Cola Wings, Roast Duck (half), Singapore Rice Noodle, Double Chin Fried Rice, and XO Seafood Noodles XO. The wings were crispy but I did not get very much Coca-Cola taste out of it, so I was not sure if it was really worth the hype. The duck was delicious and beautifully seasoned, but as usual, you just have to be smart with picking your pieces as some can be very bony. The Singapore noodles were thin pairing well with the curry, lots of vegetables, and scrambled egg bits. The fried rice was like any other traditional house fried rice with all the fixings. The seafood noodles had scant amounts of seafood and was probably my least favorite dish out of the lot. For drinks, my party of 6 shared two of the large fish bowl drinks and two games of roulette (one lychee and the other strawberry) while playing jenga rather competitively. Overall, we had a fun experience and would definitely come again. Service was friendly and accommodating. I recommend others to check them out as will I!

One good thing about this place is that it is open late so it's available after a boozy night and beggars can't be choosers. There was some type of Korean fusion going on in this restaurant as I saw a lot of Korean-type dishes, but to be honest, if you want Korean food, I'll suggest you find another place cause there's no authenticity in the taste of the cuisine and it has a weird tang. The service was decent and the place in itself is a cafeteria type setting. This is not a place I would recommend to anyone in terms of food, but if you're hungry and there's nowhere else to go, it'll do.

The drinks are very good. They pour them strong. Really liked the Asian Mule and the Litty boba drink. The elote fried rice was very tasty but a little small. Veggie dumplings taste excellent and are fried to perfection. I dont know if they make them in house but I feel like they might. Crunchy Ramen Salad is so tasty! Love the flavors. Wasnt a huge fan of the soju roulette, there were a couple flavors in there that no one at the table could stomach. Taro and spam fries are solid. Very tasty One thing ive notice the last two times ive come here is that it sometimes smells like dirty dish water to me but Im not sure if thats just my nose. Also I used to like the mac and cheese dish but the last time i got it, idk if it was the smell altering my perception but it tasted kinda like it too. Overall really like this place! And theyre open so late theyre great for after going out.

Super creative Asian fusion restaurant!!! I love all the different dishes, you'll never find any of these dishes anywhere else! Super innovative snacks and super flavorful! Poutine In Your Mouth - 8/10 I love waffle fries! Nicely crisp but it needs lot more poutine. Not enough cheese or seasonings for all these fries! Portuguese chicken rice - 8/10 Very interesting flavors! I never had Portuguese inspired food before so I'm not sure if this is authentic or actually a Portuguese dish! But it's super creamy and saucy and the chicken is very tender. Matcha made in heaven - 10/10 So fluffy and flavorful! I'm surprised that the ice had a nice matcha flavor! Not too sweet and great presentation! I love the combination of the little mochi balls and red bean! Also, that is a perfect scoop of ice cream! Spam Taro Fries - 9/10 Exactly what you expect, it's fried spam and taro cut into pieces. Simple but delicious with the spicy Mayo! Could use some furikaki seasonings though. Also I love the presentation of the spam container! Overall, This is the place for fun and creative Asian fusion food. Definitely not authentic cuisine! Great for late night snacks and desserts!

We walked into a space with an energetic atmosphere, an open kitchen, a lively dining room, and a contemporary design that makes the restaurant feel both casual and polished. The layout encourages ordering several dishes for the table, and the variety across the menu makes it easy to build a meal that feels different with each visit. The small plates are the biggest draw because they let you try a wide range of flavors without committing to a single entrée. The pork belly buns are one of the signature dishes, featuring tender pork inside soft steamed buns with a balance of sweet and savory flavors. The dan dan noodles are another standout with their rich, spicy sauce, while the Brussels sprouts have developed a strong following thanks to their crispy texture and bold seasoning. We also appreciated that many dishes are available as half portions, making it easier to sample more of the menu without ordering too much food. The menu offers a good balance between familiar favorites and more creative dishes, with each plate feeling thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, making it easy for groups with different dietary preferences to find something they enjoy. The service matched the pace of the restaurant during our visit. The staff were attentive, dishes came out steadily as they were ready, and the servers were helpful with recommendations for building a meal around multiple small plates. The restaurant stays busy throughout the evening, so making a reservation is a good idea, especially for dinner or larger groups. Myers+Chang is one of the better places in Boston for creative Asian-inspired small plates. The combination of bold flavors, shareable portions, lively atmosphere, and consistently strong service makes it a restaurant that is easy to return to, especially if you enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of ordering a traditional entrée.

When we walked into Legal, the place was dead, the music was awful, and the vibe was just not there. So we sat at the bar and grabbed a drink while searching for a place to get an actual dinner where we could find last-minute reservations. Shojo in Chinatown came up with great reviews and after looking at the menu and seeing that we could get a reservation, we headed over. It was a short walk from the Ritz and Chinatown is just such a fun place with great energy. When we walked in, we knew we had made the right call and were easily able to switch our reservation from a table to bar seats, which is always an added bonus. The place is low lit and the music is on the louder side, but nothing was excessive to the point that we didn't enjoy our time there. We ordered a variety of drinks while there - a Toki Highball draft, a spicy tequila drink with lemongrass, a few different types of Japanese whiskeys as well (they have a really extensive list). As far as food goes, they categorize their menu into Snacks, Baos, and Rice, Noodles, and Dumplings. There's a lot of vegetarian friendly options, which is always a plus for me. My highlights were the 7 vegetable stir fry, fried eggplant bao, edamame dumplings, and the Thai veggie spring rolls. The salt and pepper calamari was also really great. Everything was terrific and really unique. Service was good - not great, but they took notice of empty glasses and were quick to bring out food, so I have absolutely no complaints. Shojo is somewhere I'd absolutely return to when staying in the area, I'm really happy we all turned what would have been a very touristy, depressing experience into something with a WAY better vibe and time!

TLDR: Potentially…read moreone of my favorite Chinese restaurants in all of Massachusetts! Beautiful interior, centrally located, and delicious, high-quality food. Will definitely find a reason to come back here soon. ------ FOOD: 1. [MUST TRY] STIR-FRIED CABBAGE W/ PORK BELLY (5/5) Presentation was phenomenal (in a clay pot with its own burner underneath to keep it hot). The portion was much larger than expected, and most importantly, it tasted incredible. Generous amounts of pork in this, and the sauce was authentic and addicting. 2. SCALLION CHICKEN (5/5) Another great choice. This was a huge portion with lots of tender chicken, and the scallion was present without being overpowering. 3. CRISPY BEEF WITH FRIED DOUGH STICKS (5/5) I was expecting Chinese you tiao but these were actually the small, ultra crispy manhua twists! Paired with the beef, this was a large and unique dish that I loved. The crispiness of the mahua made this a textural delight to eat. 4. MANGO SAGO DESSERT (5/5) Big portion, wonderful assortment of toppings including grapefruit, mango, sago, and popping balls over a creamy dessert soup base. 5. PEKING DUCK (4/5) I think I'm a tough critic since I just came back from Beijing and had so much Peking duck there. We ordered the half portion here and it had a generous amount of meat for not being the full portion. There were an assortment of accompaniments, including pineapple (new to me) and sugar (like the Beijing style) which were welcome additions. The wrappers were steamed well and didn't curl up on the edges. Overall this was a solid Peking duck, but the meat wasn't as standout as I was hoping. 6. STEAMED PORK SOUP DUMPLING (4/5) Solid soup dumplings. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely hit the spot. 7. SAUTEED PEA SPROUTS (4/5) Another solid classic. 8. PORK MEATBALL IN CRAB MEAT SAUCE (4/5) This was the most unique thing we ordered. I've never had a shi zi tou meatball with crab meat sauce before. The meatball itself was large (maybe size of a tennis ball), tender, and fatty, as it should be. It was then drowned in a generous lake of traditional crab meat sauce. If you're not a fan of crab meat then this might be a bit too fishy for you, but honestly it all combined surprisingly well and I grew to like this dish more and more with each bite. I wasn't the biggest fan to start, but by the end I wouldn't have minded getting another one! ------ AMBIANCE / ENVIRONMENT: * The interior has the classic Asian style of decor, but you can tell it was recently built / renovated because everything felt new and fresh. * The ambiance also felt more new-school luxurious vs. the typical Asian establishments that are more no-frills with as many tables packed in as possible * You're still somewhat close to the tables around you, but it's not overwhelming during lunch time and we still felt like we had enough space regardless * There's a bar area at the front of the restaurant and then a large, spacious dining room in the back * This is a great place for a date or a meaningful family gathering * Right outside is Boston Common, making this restaurant very well-located for lunch before or after a nice day in the park. While there's lots of parking around the park, a spot itself can be hard to come by, so your best bet might be to use the nearby parking garage instead ------ SERVICE: * Overall the service was great and quick. They did forget our tea, but when we asked for it later they apologized profusely and were quick to bring it out for us * This place fills up quickly so be sure to come early if you don't have a reservation or if you're a big enough group, make a reservation for your desired dining time

This place is popping! Even though it was later in the evening, the restaurant was still really full. However we didn't have to wait too long to get seated. It's a dark restaurant so it was hard to read the menu, but otherwise, it's a very cool vibe here and feels very lounge-y. Our server was awesome, he was friendly and explained the restaurant style to us - it's like tapas, you order a few items to share and recommended 2 - 3 items per person would be sufficient. It was only 2 of us and we shared 3 items total, and that was more than enough. We apparently arrived so late that our server informed us that we only had a short time before the kitchen was closing for the night. But he said that he would return before the kitchen closed in case we wanted to order additional menu items. We were intrigued by the Japanese/Peruvian fusion menu and tried a few things: Kuromitsu Brussel Sprouts Spicy Salmon Fritas Bo Bo Chicken I was most excited about the Bo Bo Chicken a it had a sichuan chili oil and I love spicy, but it was not spicy at all (to me). But the flavor was really good. My favorite was the Brussels sprouts. I loved the char on them and the ginger black honey on it was so good. I don't eat salmon, but my friend said the Salmon Fritas was great and really enjoyed them. I would say this was the best meal we had on our trip!

A great Japanese restaurant. We didn't have reservations but were able to secure seats in the bar…read morearea, which was totally fine. It took some time for the waiter to come by and we were ready to order as soon as he came by. Got drinks and some food. Surprisingly the food came out before the drinks. Everything was great however. The inside was lively, great place to catch up.

Ordered takeout on a rainy day from The Silk and did not regret it. I got the chicken noodles…read more(street style), chicken manchurian, and cauliflower manchurian - fantastic food! I got everything mild with sauces on the side and that was definitely the way to go. The chicken manchurian is quite hot/spicy even at the mild level so I was glad about the mild selection.

I had really been looking forward to trying this place and was finally able to on Valentines Day…read more The decoration was adorable and I'm pretty sure they were booked out for the evening. There was a great singer, pianist, and sax player to really set the mood. They were super fun, especially when a couple got engaged! To start, I got their ginger martini and while my friend went with a Do-er neat (not a whiskey drinker myself, lol). He tried to order 2 of their beers but they were out of both. My drink came after 15 mins and then we had to remind the waiter about his whiskey. That took another 10. We started with the chicken bao buns and the samosas. Both spectacular! My only complaint is the little size for the samosa size. For our mains we got the short rib and the white butter chicken. The butter chicken could've used a bit more chicken for the price and was frankly a bit tough. The sauce was great. The short rib was flavorful and packed the perfect punch. Dipping the garlic naan in both sauces was my fav part!! Overall an ok experience. I want to give the restaurant grace because it was very packed but service was poor. I think we had 4 different staff members help us total which probably led to lots of miscommunication.
